Event Title: Battle Bunker presents Genesis.1 day,3 game,Matched Play - North-East Event Author: discoking Calendar: Events UK Event Date: 04/01/2017 09:30 AM to 04/01/2017 06:00 PM After a successful trial tournament,The Crucible,I'm happy to announce the 1st proper AoS tournament at Battle Bunker! This will take place on Saturday the 1st April and will be a 1 day, 3 game tournament using Matched Play rules and armies of 2000pts. For this tournament the number of players has increased to 20(maybe more if I can get another table or two finished) Prizes for Best General,Best Painted Army and the Karl Franz award for favourite opponent Ticket price is £20 and on a 1st come 1st served basis. Tickets can be paid for instore,over the phone or thru paypal. Since the AoS tournament scene is still very new up here there will be no painting requirements for this tournament(fully painted armies will be a requirement in the future) but anyone who brings a fully painted army on round bases will be able to make an order that day at 30% off RRP. So I ran my 1st tournament at the weekend and as a tester it went really well. Everyone had a good time,tables looked awesome,everyone had loads of room for their stuff and I learned an awful lot. Steve Sanderson won the event with a Disciples of Tzeentch army,Lucy Child won the best army with her Stormcasts and Greame Donaldson won favourite opponent. Next one is already planned for April 1st.

I know this tournament was/is short notice for a lot of people but there are still spots for the 1st AoS tournament to be held at Battle Bunker. It will be a casual affair as I settle into running things and as such for this tournament I have relaxed the painting and round base rule. Event Title: Battle Bunker presents The Crucible - 2000pts Matched Play AoS Tournament on Saturday 25th Feb(Sunderland) Event Author: discoking Calendar: Events UK Event Date: 02/25/2017 09:30 AM to 02/25/2017 06:30 PM Battle Bunker is happy to announce it's 1st AoS tournament The Crucible which will be a small 10 maybe 12 player event which will act as trial for bigger and better tournaments to come. This will be a 1 day,3 game,2000pts game using the matched play rules in the Generals Handbook and played on stunning themed tables to provide the ultimate AoS experience. The tournament will start at 9.30am and run until 6.30pm. There will be prizes for best general,sportsmanship and best painted/looking army. Back in the autumn of 2015 I attended an AoS tournament up in Scotland at Stirling Games and 2 things happened that day.The 1st was I had an awesome time(and did pretty well even tho I turned up late and missed the 1st game).The 2nd was driving home I realised just how well suited AoS was a tournament game and I had a gut feeling that it was going to get way more popular than Fantasy in the coming months and years. Only problem was there was nowhere of note locally or in the North East to actually play AoS or other games.I longed to be able play anytime and on fantastic tables against people other than my 2 best mates.So with that in mind December came and I decided I was going to open my own gaming venue. I began looking for properties big enough in the most accessible places and found the perfect place at the end of January.On the 2nd of February I started the ball rolling and after months of delay I finally got the keys on the 6th December and could start my journey. Yup just done the same,took me about 4hrs to put a unit of Bloodknights together the other day and that's after many hours cleaning them up!
