  1. I would drop the second unit of of Doomfire Warlocks and the Quicksilver swords, change the Slaughter Queen to a Hag Queen and buff up one unit of Blood Sisters to 10 snakes. Doomfire Warlocks are a nice distraction but they also cost a lot. You can't even use their signature spell to its full effect when taking two units. I would instead focus on buffing up one unit of snakes as they can become really powerful with Witch Brew, Catechism of Murder and Mind Razor. I would also recommend using the Hag-Narr Temple as the command trait is really valuable when playing such a small/elite snake-heavy list.
  2. I dont have any foam trays that fit my daughters of khaine at the moment (and it doesnt look like Battlefoam is producing any special trays anytime soon… ) so I just take a cardboard box, throw as many foam pieces and bubble wrap in there as possible and pray to Khaine. But I have to say: Witch Aelfs/Sisters of Slaughter are surprisingly sturdy. No deformations or broken parts yet!
  3. 3+ for all is a bit much in my opinion. Id prefer it to get progressively better like, 5+ for Gunhaulers, 4+ for Frigats and 3+ for Ironclads. So they can keep the differences between the different ships. Also, it would feel strange to give the open-topped gun hauler a 3+ save.
  4. Thank you for this comprehensive overview over the Suneater Tribes. I only have one question. You wrote that the Gothi are below the ogors but you also wrote situations were a high ranking Gothi was ordering a bunch of Ogors around. So I assume that most Gothi are below the Ogors but some can rise above the lower ranked ones?
  5. You can take a Lord-Ordinator as an Ally but he can't be part of a Battalion. I had a similar Idea yesterday. I was planning on using a Lord-Ordinator along side a Barak-Mhonar Grundstock Escort Wing.
  6. Yes. There was a Malign Portents Errata that allows you to take a Lord-Ordinator as your Warlord even when not using the Malign Portents expansion. But beware, some Reviews say that he will lose his current command ability. His +1 to-hit for war machines is still strong but we have to see if he is worth the new point costs.
  7. Yeah, in heraldry yellow and gold are practically the same thing so you would be good to go. Order of the crystal lake or order of the verdant cycle sound good too. Only order of pure water sounds too unimaginative in my opinion.
  8. How about you just change the "yellow" part of your name? Order of the Amber Rose has more or less the same ring to it. A quick google search told me nothing like this exists at the moment (besides that one celebrity Amber Rose but I dont think anybody would confuse these two). Alternatively: Order of the golden rose?
  9. I converted a model to use as Lord-Ordinator for my Kharadron Overlords. Sure losing the command ability is annoying but he could still be worth it if the +1 to-hit stays.
  10. Looks like they uploaded the wrong warscroll. This one looks like the old one but the Errata makes it clear that this version is no longer in use.
  11. I just remembered, this Saturday is also Age of Sigmar Open day! What do you guys think, is GW showing something new this weekend? Or are we just going to get more pictures of the new Nighthaunt/Stormcasts units?
  12. Please, calm down. The all-infantry Darkling Covens are really no problem for the Kharadrons. Their wizards became more expensiv in the new Handbook and their are really squishy. (Im sure you could gun her down with volley guns alone). I have played against summoning Khorne daemons and anti-shooting Idoneth Deepkin and I have won 9 out of 10 AoS 2 test games so far. Sure, they arent a tournament winning army like old Tzeentch but they are way better than some people here think.
  13. Thats not true and you know that. Kharadrons are still better than every non-battletome army. Also, Endless Spells aside (as I haven't played against them yet, and the fact that they are only an expansion), we are basically where we were last edition. The shooting "nerf" changed nothing. Shooting the enemies directly in front of my units was what I were going to do anyway. Summoning isn't that bad as we still can target the enemy heroes. No heroes, no summoning. On the other side, cheaper sky vessels is is a plus for me as they were the reason I even started playing Kharadrons.
  14. Wow, what a great story! You really build this prophet up as something terrifying and ancient! His profil supports this. The whip is terrifying with its D6 damage on a close combat weapon.
  15. I think the Malign Portents Errata is the most important one from this batch: We can now make the Lord-Ordinator our warlord for that sweet, sweet command ability, even in normal games. Thank the ancestors, because I just finished my conversion for a count-as Lord-Ordinator
  16. I had a test run with my Kharadrons for the next edition with the leaked point costs last week at a 3000 points game. Sure, thats far removed from most games but I could make great use of the reduced point costs for our ships as I brought 5 of them (Ironclad/2 Frigats/2 Gunhaulers). I kept the Gunhaulers between my ships and the enemy horde and used them as glorified road block. The flagship ability of the Ironclad really shines with that number of ships, and the Lord-Ordinator buff is still great.
  17. Hey, can you maybe post some parts of your battletome here? People are often hesitant to just download something from a forum. Copy some warscrolls in here and Im sure you will get more people to give feedback!
  18. I think every DoK box set will have the problem that they dont really fit well inside the established system. All hero options the followers of Khaine have at the moment are tied to expensive centerpiece models (either the Cauldron of Blood or Morathi). The one set released last year had basically be our Start Collecting box. A Cauldron and one unit of Witch Aelfs comes out at around 105€. Most SC! gives you around 120€ of value.
  19. Great story, as usual. I really like the way you wrote the Gothi priest. All the shouting, spiting, screaming, typical grot behavior.
  20. Battleforces for Christmas for either DoK or Idoneth Deepkin are likely. I dont think we will see both as there will be one for the new Stormcasts and most likely another one for Nighthaunts. I dont think we will see SC! sets for both Aelfs this year. Kharadron Overlords got their Battleforce box for christmas and their SC! earlier this year, more or less one year after their initial release.
  21. The "Exploring the Realms" video from the new Age of Sigmar side is interesting: https://ageofsigmar.com/realms/ First the Merchants of Pa'Tar. Hinting at more asia-themed models? Scrappers Spill in Chamon. A giant pile of scraps/trophies from all the green skins in the region, hinting at a more technical destruction faction? Plus name dropping the assassins of Clan Eshin living in Ulgu and the remark that we will get to explore the Realm of Light Hysh somewhere in the near future.
  22. I rather think the promo was the Throne of Skulls thing. Nearly every Warhammer game is on sale on Steam right now.
  23. Great story! Having Korhil reincarnate as a great lion fits the style of the Mortal Realms. I also like that you incorporated the concept of God beasts, they are way too underused at the moment. But I have to admit, the thought of rainbow colored lions made me chuckle a bit. Do you plan on writing about the organization of these lion cults?
  24. There is no space between the teethes of the magical maw while you can definitely see number 24 is missing a few teethes, also they are more triangular than the maw ones.
  25. No, the Destruction spells maw is way bigger and there is no gum: Also, looks like GW produces a new paint sitting somewhere between shade and base paint:
