  1. From the User Kalan over at Bolter and Chainsword: "just got out of the meeting. The Blackstone Fortress will have NEW CHAOS MARINES Vs Rogue traders (Think silver tower level models but 40k) and then they will be releasing them as multipart later, and the chaos release for next year involving Khorne and Slannesh has models for both systems."
  2. Looking at the Warhammer-community article right now. "Realm of Chaos - Wrath and Rapture" looks like we are getting Khorne AND Slaanesh.
  3. I really like the design of the herdstone. It also looks like they unified war- and brayherds. Maybe the monsters of chaos will join too?
  4. Previously the live blog showed the new stuff the moment the seminar started, which greatly annoyed the people that brought tickets. So I guess thats why they changed it.
  5. So, with Warhammer Fest Europe right around the corner: What are your predictions for Age of Sigmar?
  6. From Josh Reynolds Tumblr: So it looks like this is not the second part of the "main" Eight Lamentations story.
  7. Ohhhh, thats fantastic! Im really excited! Spear of Shadows is my favorite AoS story so far. I have high hopes for this one. I just listed to the great "Guns of the Black Eagle" and I hope this audio dramas voice acting is on the same level of quality.
  8. The one Kharadron book (something something Iron Dragon) mentions the position of an "Logistor". Its basically, as the name suggests, a logistics officer. Maybe he could be similar to the Death Guards Tallyman in 40K. Im not sure what abilities such a figure could have. Maybe he could return slain units as reinforcements like the Hammers of Sigmar stormhost? (which would also allow KO access to "summoning") Or something like this: Sale on bullets " In the last Sky-Port, the Logistor managed to get a very special deal. Two death enemies for the price of one, the sales-duardin claimed." A unit wholly within 6" of this model may make an additional attack whenever they roll a unmodified 6 when making a to-hit roll in the shooting phase. (or something like that)
  9. So, I had thought about this for a while now. In what direction do you think GW should take the Dispossessed? What concept should they take and turn up to 11, like they did with machines and slayers (Kharadron Overlords and Fyreslayers). Recently they stated in the White Dwarf that duardin are nearly immune to necromancy. Maybe GW could combine this with their ancestor worship in the world that was and make the Dispossessed into a anti-nagash "dead" faction. As they venerate the dead but their souls dont go to Shyish/Nagash. Warhammer: Total War had the ghosts of dead heroes supporting Belegar Ironhammer on his quest. Maybe they could try something similar with the ghosts/souls of dead ancestor supporting the duardin forces? Also, with Grimnir and Grungi accounted for, Valaya is the only one of the three still missing. So this could be a opportunity to re-introduce her.
  10. You get the Lord Arcanum on foot from the Tauraleon set. So you can build Avantis Firestrike AND a generic Lord on foot.
  11. Also, just like every other Battletome since Maggotkin, the Daughters of Khaine where written with AoS 2 in mind. Her being the general to use her ability is rule as intended. Just like the Akhelian King of the Idoneth Deepkin has to be your general to use his ability.
  12. I got the feeling we will see more of the Chaos Dwarfs relativ soon. All the current Chaos Dwarfs warscrolls gained the Dawi Zharr keyword. Plus the introduction of Zharr Vyxa indicates that FW/GW want to expand the scope of the Chaos Dwarfs project. GW loves the concept of sub-factions at the moment. It would be easy to turn the legions of Azghor into a sub-faction (Zharr-Azghol??). Similar to the Kharadron Sky-ports (Barak/Zharr-Something). FW also said last year that they are building their own dedicated Age of Sigmar team. Maybe this new Warhammer Forge will be heralded by new Chaos Dwarfs?
  13. Forge World updated their Legions of Azghor fluff: "Twisted Duardin who sell their souls in service to Hashut, the Legion of Azgorh are infamous for the terror they spread across Aqshy the Realm of Fire.. Entrenched within a dread fortress built in the Ashcloud Mountains, they harbour utter contempt for all others. Man or beast; grot or monster – all fall before them, enslaved to fuel the Legion’s malevolent industry and sacrificial pyres. Masters of murderous war engines and unyielding iron, the realms tremble when the Legion of Azgorh marches forth." They claim the Ashcloud Mountains in Aqshy as their home. Its unclear if thats just the basis of operations for the legions or the whole Dawi'Zharr race.
  14. Yeah, I dont think Daughters of Khaine failed. It wasnt a giant release like the new Nighthaunts or the Idoneth. But I feel like they did well enough for such a small scale release (Morathi, Melusai and Khinerai). They also turn a profit way easier as enough of their models are old sculpts. Even a few additional sales (and clearing out stock) is a win for GW.
  15. They have already announced orks and genestealers cults. The only xenos faction left are the Ynnari.
  16. Your map looks great! I also agree, seeing other peoples maps and read what they came up with is one of my favorite parts of the hobby. I made a map for my local gaming group as well, some time ago. I'll just copy what I wrote back then. Its not completely up to date anymore but the basics are still the same.
  17. Production time between the first concept and the finished model is around 2 years. Some take longer but very few take less time. We dont know at what stage development was when they green lighted new models. If they had already done the concept art its possible to see new Kharadrons this year (1,5 years after release).
  18. The Kharadron Rumors were the oldest as they came out close to release. GW stated back then that they sold way better than expected and that they were green lighted for expansion. But of course, no official announcement. Thats just what I read back then.
  19. I love Hammerhal Herald. Everything they have made so far was funny!
  20. Well, there are the rumored updates to older factions like the Sylvaneth, Ironjawz, Fyreslayers and Kharadron Overlords. Dropping 1 or 2 new units for these 4 factions could be done as one release as they won't cannibalize each other too much.
  21. Great work! I love subfactions. They add a lot of flavor to an army, in my opinion. The Chamon and Ulgu migrations are my favorites, very thematic. Another thing, you assigned each migration a home realm. Are planning on connecting them with the realm artifacts from Malign Sorcery? Like: "If you play a game using the realm rules you have to designate your army as coming from the realm connected to your chosen Migration"?
  22. No. The Kharadron FAQ states that the Thunderers warscroll on the GW website is the only legal one and that scroll has Mortars at 12".
  23. Agree with this. Iron Sky Squadron is easy to include but difficult to play. The two main problems I have with this battalion are: its only in turn one, which could be a real problem when you are forced to go first (only 18" range on the cannons) and second, its +1 attack for a pretty unreliable weapon. Only hitting on 4+ makes this a gamble. I had one successful game using this battalion. I was going second against a fangmora eels heavy Idoneth Deepkin army. I buffed my frigates with the Lord-Ordinator and took advantage of the re-roll 1s to-hit/to-wound from Barak-Zilfin. My first shooting phase was pretty devastating but afterwards I was limited to basic arkanauts and frigates. In regards to the Grundstock Escort Wing: Thats my current project for AoS 2.0. Im planning on getting a third gunhauler and try to make this battalion work in a Barak-Mhonar force.
  24. I think the Lord-Arcanum on Dracoline or Tauralon are going to be the generic versions of Astreia and Aventis.
  25. Did the battletome explicit say you can do that to get special characters or is this just abusing the "name your stormhost" mechanics? Because 40K had the same situation last year and they fixed this relativ quickly.
