  1. I said 3 (of 6), I'd mis read as you had 6 units in the spearhead. You are right, if you only have one unit it cant be in the realm.
  2. The units they increased went up by £1 - £2.50, a 10% or less increase, with only a few exceptions. Mostly these were units cheaper than the alternatives in other factions. So yes i think they thought the market could bear the increase, given its so small and wasnt a range wide increase.
  3. SC can deploy one unit in celestial realm for each unit they have delpoyed on the battlefield, so in your spearhead 3 (of 6) could be in the realm, of the main body at least 1 (of 3) could be, potentially all 3 if none in first wave were. The question @King Taloren is asking is does 'have deployed' in the requirement mean 'have deployed past tense' (as in all deployments so far) or 'have deployed currently'. The rule was not written with the idea of mid game deployments so we need an FAQ really but id waiver on your side or, have deployed (total units), this is GW though so who knows 🤣
  4. They post half and full year figures, there is a link at the bottom of their home page to investor relations. It mentions new factory and other investments in the business but doesnt specify figures. My post wasnt about individual item profit, because as a business they have a lot of variation and the bottom line is every sale has to contribute to the whole company, they cant drop prices of some items that cost less to produce or other items would have to increase. Imagine how much a battle tome would cost if it had to make 30% profit paid for by its own sales. Buy an army of plastic for £20* and a battletome for £150* (*examples entirely made up based on what everyone says models should cost)
  5. Its very easy to get the answers to 4 and 5, its in their annual and half annual reports. second half of 2018 they made £120+m revenue, of which £40m was profit, so 30% of what you pay for something is profit. Individual items will swing obviously with 'savings' items like starter sets not making as much as separate kits. But the fact is overall they only make 30% profit from money we give them, so dont see how them trying to increase that to 31% is indefensible.
  6. Because theyve been doing 'varying costs of entry' since the mid 90's, so no I dont think they are trying to 'gouge' buyers. Have people actually looked at the price rises? or is everyone assuming all units are going up by £15 like the Lord of Change, stuff that has changed (majority of things have not changed) has gone up a small amount. Arkanuats have gone up £2.50 to £30. My 2000pt Kharadron army would be a whole £7.50 more expensive, someone get me a stool as I need a sit down after that devastating revelation 😓. I appreciate some armies will go up more, i was going to build a (40k) Guard army, that will now cost £20 more if i have 100 guardsmen, 20p extra per model.
  7. Reading Stormcast battletome it says; 'Instead of setting up a STORMCAST ETERNAL unit on the battlefeld, you can place it to one side and say that it is set up in the Celestial Realm as a reserve unit' So when units are 'set up on the battlefield' in end of turn 1 or 2, you can set up some of those units in the celestial realm. Being 'set up' in the celestial is allowed by the rules you quoted above.
  8. Yep. Darksphere (a UK store) already has the new prices up on their webstore.
  9. Hit it with some -1 to hit or -1 attacks, geminids helps with this. Plus, your never going to face just FeC, impossible to optimise for everything.
  10. Its certainly tough to collect a 2000 point list, for any army, and SC with all their options can feel daunting. But remember some armies dont have options at all so having a single SC list isnt a problem if thats all you can afford or want to invest. Dont feel pressured by the options available, just think of them as a different army, still lots of flex in the Stormhosts or command abilities.
  11. Whichever ones youve got painted 😁 Got to finish my Dracoline Pride* for tournaments these next 2 weekends, looking forward to seeing what they can do. I dont have any shooting support in my current list so not sure ill be able to get the most out of the list. *6 Dracoline Evocators and a Lord Arcanum on Dracoline
  12. I played a small 2 day tournament a few weeks ago and went 0-5 with my Stormcast and it wasnt because Stormcast are terrible, so shove that in your stats 🤣 Im loving building, painting and playing my stormcast. Ive played 3 1-day events, 1 2-day event, and a doubles event this year (plus more entered for this month) with a whole variety of lists and models and done well and done badly, but very rarely has a game been over before that last turn. I love how many options we have, and thats even with my 'handicap' of only playing Tempest Lords (or no host) because mine are painted as Tempest Lords and im proud of that. The game is so full of extremes with missions and match ups statistics only work if you take the whole of them, trying to look at why we cant beat Slanesh or certain other builds is not what the stats (that we have) will tell us.
  13. Still not sure about that, build on doesnt mean supplement, they can be considered their own rules. Warscroll builder (not a source of rules i know, i tell people this often!) has built it to be valid based on the Enagement structure only. We could ask the developer if he had a steer regarding this. <excuse me @scrollbuilderdude do you know if this is correct?>
  14. Its entirely probable GW knew about these issues and changes are in the FAQ already (we know Skaven were not considered in the GHB anyway). It would have been better if the particular issues were resolved at the same time as the GHB but GW work on a slower timeframe than the internet, we know this so people shouldnt be surprised issue arise and are resolved in the FAQ.
  15. 5 little models can block a much larger area for summoning when garrisoned than standing on a grave site is what i meant. Any summoning will be pushed back to the edges as they couldnt summon within 3" of the mausoleum, and if youve set it up as a big piece of terrain, its now a very big area blocked off. Yes you will be able to bring a lot into combat with the terrain piece, but the unit being attacked is acting as a very big screen to the rest of their force (of course you can flip this by the death player garrisoning the mausoleum, to act as a big screen and ensure summoning area).
  16. Few things people seem to be not be discussing and should probably think about; 1. Terrain is a pool, not part of your army, so your opponent could pick your Sigmarite Mausoleum and deploy it in the corner. 2. Terrain alternates so the opponent could place something else to prevents you placing '3 in a row' 3. Mausoleum is garrisonable so opponent chucks a small unit in there and nullifies it, and a lot of your movement options.
  17. Your point is valid, except ...you swap grots for Tomb Kings, as TK have points in the GHB, grots (which were still sold in December 2018) do not. They spent plenty of effort trying to keep legacy stuff playable, as you say not top tier, so it sucks they just gave grots the full boot to the ******.
  18. Given each player places pieces alternatively, how hard is it for a player who wants to place Faction scenery to just pick small pieces and place them in places that holds gaps open or does not take up a lot of space. It feels like the opposing player couldnt lock out the entire board with only their 5 pieces.
  19. Its sound thoughts, but the different missions bring different tiers in differently and you should really have your list defiend before you roll for scenario (unless you are practicing specific things).
  20. Just to follow this up, i found where they went. Legends. Didnt spot this at the time (Jan2019 when Gloomspite dropped). Bummer. https://www.warhammer-community.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/ENG_WH_Legends_Orcs_Goblins.pdf
  21. Its sucky when stuff gets cut, i have a load of old dwarfs and bretonians, but at least those still have points so while rules wise they suck at least I have an idea i can use them. You can probably still run them with old points though , i cant imagine people will raise issue with them in friendly games. For tournaments you'd have to check, but again unless its a major tournament i cant see it being an issue, they arnt exactly over powered.
  22. Yep, pretty disapointed Gitmob went from 'legitimate faction' to 'does not exist', not even a compendium swap! And this is for models that were still for sale on GW site 6 months ago. I bought 3 chariots!
  23. Yep. I chopped his hand off and replaced with a scroll holding hand from an Evocator to signify him as the Arcanum not incantor (always best if your opponent has an easy way to tell all the almost identical stormcast apart!)
  24. Guys, if you are going to write essays just email each other 😁 Or at least hide some of the responses, its going to be one post a page if you make them any longer! 🤣
  25. Thanks (and thanks everyone else who answered). I'm hampered by running my list as Tempest Lords (damn you narrative tendancies!) so struggle compared to the other Stormhosts. With Sequitors and Evocators going up my previous tactic of using Arcanum of Gryph with his command abilities is less useful, so thinking i might try to spend all my CP on a dracoline horde :0)
