  1. Having seen all the warbands, I'm still Untamed Beasts all the way. ROAARR
  2. Skulltake was OK in the last book if you wanted to play mortals and not Gore Pilgrims, but in this book it doesn't cut it anymore when compared to other batallions. IMO. As a mortal player I like Slaughterborn a lot. Not just that it helps the Skullreapers survive, it also helps weathering the charges that come at us and is great for setting up huge anvils. I myself like to run a 15 man BW unit with Gorefists as an anvil, they become quite an obstacle when they ignore -1 rend in CC. Especially if you whip them and/or cast Bronzed flesh on them.
  3. Honestly this feels a bit like a social/market experiment on GWs part, like, how much traffic can they actually generate from new miniature reveals in the middle of the night!?
  4. Hahaha so I'm not the only one planning to wait up half the night just to see new plastic models I'm likely not gonna buy then. :'D GW has certainly learned how to build up hype online!
  5. So, facing Slaanesh for the first time tomorrow with the list below, not sure what he's bringing but I'm expecting something hard. Any recommendations on what to target, avoid etc?
  6. So the last band it looks like is gonna be from Hysh, realm of Light? Interesting to see how they can take a chaotic spin on that, I can picture something Slaanesh-y like corrupted noblemen, would make for a cool contrast to the other warbands.
  7. Super excited about this game and already planning how to convert my Ghur band. I'll swap the helmets for 40k Wulfen heads and try to give them metal weapons instead - metal helmets and bone weapons make no sense to me. For anyone interested in AoS skirmish and using instagram, I can recommend taking a look at the hashtag #mordheim2019, tons of cool minis there.
  8. Well it's always up to the individual isn't it. I for one am certainly not gonna spend hundreds of euros on Bloodthirsters just because they are gonna be cheaper ingame for the next 6-12 months. Would you prefer static points then, or?
  9. I does bug me though how Bloodreavers got to stay at 70.
  10. Personally I'm not complaining really, this frees up the exact 20 points I needed to try a Skullgrinder and additional priest instead of my Juggerlord.
  11. https://www.warhammer-community.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/Age_Of_Sigmar_BladesOfKhorneErrataPoints.pdf It says April but keep scrolling down
  12. FAQs are up: https://www.warhammer-community.com/faqs/ Changes to Bloodsecrator (-20), Valkia, Skullcannons and BTs. That's it.
  13. More FAQs available in German (points are in numbers )
  14. Monday morning and no FAQ. Looks like it'll be another week then, or?
  15. It looks to me that they just wanted to avoid the 'rank and file' look which you tend to get with the 3rd party movement trays.
  16. Hahaha, to be honest I like that they brought back Gotrek, I mean it's soo over the top even for the AoS world, but it feels a bit tongue in cheek by GW like "we know this is just silly but hey, nothing is impossible and we mean it!"
  17. Argh so my Juggerlord spent another game doing nothing again. Either I just don't know how to use him properly, or he really is not that useful. I've even given him the Thronebreaker Torc, yet I still manage to fail 75% of saves (not his fault tbh). Despite his 8" move he still feels very clunky to move around. Is it just me, or is he just not a strong performer these days? Am I better off with a Daemon Prince if they keep having the same cost after GHB19?
  18. I hope I'm not stating something too obvious here or something that's been said already, but for me, above all, two things are important: 1) (learn to) enjoy other aspects of the hobby 2) if you really are a competitive person, find something else to compete in While I only prefer matched play and try to optimise my lists as much as I can, I really enjoy painting and creating a cool and thematic army. Thus, the reward of seeing your creations on the tabletop, pitted against your opponents', becomes a reward in itself. For me, having a few hours here and there to paint/convert while listening to the latest Joe Rogan Podcast or whatever is just a great way to wind down at the end of the day. Gaming is almost secondary, and while winning is fun I play Khorne Mortals and have been used to losing the past few years But competitiveness is part of the human mindset, which I fully respect and am aware of. And I hope I'm not disrespecting anyone, but I just believe it is a waste of human potential for really competitive people to spend all their energy on winning in the Warhammer hobby. Or more exactly, to invest so much of themselves in the hobby that game results affects self esteem or somewhere close to it (ie. if you care that badly about winning or losing). While I'm definitely not against tournaments, this hobby will never be a sport and don't treat it as such. To satisfy my competitive urges I train and compete (although irregularly and at amateur level) in brazilian jiu jitsu - if you're a competitive person, that's where I recommend you go. Don't get me wrong - I love this hobby and have been in it for over 20 years - but winning or losing here really isn't something you should invest your emotions in. I mean, ofcourse I do it too from time to time, I'm just trying to keep it in perspective.
  19. Is it possible to make out from the text if Khorne players will be able to use the new endless spells? Not that we'd want to, ofcourse, just asking for a friend..!
  20. Tbh not super excited about Forbidden Power. Probably gonna be used alot, but all it is in the end is new inventive ways of dealing mortal wounds or -1 to hit/wound. That ribcage ladder is the only thing that looks interesting, might be some teleport function.
  21. Everyone noticed Krell in that Olynder pic right? Kind of confirms the earlier discussion on who's in the vault..
