  1. That's certainly possible. If that's the case I wholeheartedly approve. Anything that makes it possible for people who want hard to buy minis to get them for non-scalper prices is good as far as I'm concerned. I'd also rather that money goes to support TOW rather than scalper's wallets.
  2. It's not clear they do is it? It appeared in the video for the preview, but it's not showing in the list of units to be released. Perhaps they included it by accident. Or perhaps GW just want to reuse the moulds for it and are going to release it with some post hoc justification as to why it exists. I've never liked it, so won't be picking it up regardless.
  3. Maybe, but they've not announced that the plastic Iron Breakers and Hammerers are being released for TOW (I assumed they'd bring back the old metal ones) so there's not such an obvious split between the ranges as I had at first thought.
  4. The Warshrine is an odd absence. It's not, as far as I can tell, a Daemonic mount, so the whole "chaos isn't as ascendent so Daemons don't manifest easily" thing doesn't apply, and it's an old WHFB mini. My theory: they're going to make a new mini for it, so it'll come out with the Chaos release.
  5. Seems unlikely for now, but if they go beyond their original scope for TOW down the line, the Vampire Wars would be a great time period to expand into, in which case Vlad et al would be obvious additions. Let's hope for it.
  6. I can understand this point of view. Certainly a Priest of Shallya shouldn't be any good at fighting, and shouldn't have any offensive prayers, but I could see them working as a support/healer character. A Priest of Morr could be anti-undead, and a Priest of Taal could definitely be a scouty offensive character. When you get to Verena or Ranald I'll admit it starts to get harder. Manaan too.
  7. I'd absolutely love to see both the Cult of Ulric, Middenheim, and the Knights of the White Wolf fleshed out in the Arcane Journal. I've always really liked them. So a named Grand Master would be cool (or an Army Ulric or Elector Count). I'd also really like to see some other priests get rules. Priests of Taal, or Morr or whatever. Not named characters obviously, but cool nonetheless. I assume we won't get Magnus until later (a bit like Kul).
  8. @Double Misfire oh yeah, but my nostalgia is more for the setting than specific characters, and I'd like the writers to be given a chance at creativity. I won't be terribly upset if the Twins are included, but it would be cool to see some new heroes instead. @Kronos I think they'll hold off on Kul until a later campaign book release. That's where I'd like to see Teclis too: in a great way against chaos campaign release when he came and taught the humans magic (although me being me, I'd prefer Finreir). I wonder about Dwarfs. Young Thorgrim arms the most obvious, but I feel like if he were getting a mini he'd have been previewed, which makes me less confident.
  9. I'm honestly hoping they don't bring back too many old characters. In particular, I don't want Tyrion and Teclis to be in the High Elf Arcane Journal (if they come back later that's fine). Let's create some cool new characters and let them shine a bit. As for Dwarfs, I'm a bit disappointed that they are only getting two. I kinda hoped for the White Dwarf to be included in a similar way to the Green Knight (similar idea to them), and then two normal characters.
  10. If this guy doesn't return, it'll be a grudgin' I am significantly less fond of this chap. I had a nightmare getting him to rank up, and even on 25mm I suspect he'll be a pain.
  11. I just wish they'd come back as fast too. I still want a Bretonnian one, and I only have a Tomb Kings one because someone happened to be returning it when I was in Warhammer World. But yes, I think it's a good sign. People want this stuff.
  12. Oh my bad, for some reason I remembered chariot.
  13. Grom-lite: Goblin Warboss in a chariot.
  14. I think they were doing double duty. They were Dwarf Rangers, but if you added Bugman to the unit they became Bugman's Rangers.
  15. Anyone who's interested: if you search Arcane Journal Orc and Goblin Tribes on GW's webstore you can find it already. Same for the Card Pack (I just searched Card Pack and it was one of the automatic options). Technically they aren't available for a few minutes still.
  16. These ones maybe? They date back to 5th edition I think (maybe even 4th?). In 6th I think you were meant to use Quarrellers too, but there were even fewer options to make them actually look like rangers.
  17. Agreed. Quarrellers with a big axe feel like Quarrellers with a big axe. I think cloaks and perhaps a bunch of travelling gear (backpacks etc.) would sell them as Rangers.
  18. I just looked up the Quarreller kits instructions on r/WarhammerInstructions and you can make them into Rangers by gluing big axes on their backs.
  19. What were the most recent Ranger minis? Were they still the old Bugmans ones*? *I used their champion as my Warhammer Quest Dwarf. Great mini.
  20. It's true, my hands aren't even as big as my head! What sort of nonsense is this!?
  21. I hardly drink anymore. It takes too much out of me when I do. Gone are those halcyon days wren I could drink then pints and be in lectures the next day without any ill effect. But them I'm also 6'6" so I think I already fail at being a dwarf.
  22. I did it twice... well the first one wasn't beer, it was girls (age 14 or so). Then I briefly returned to GW before discovering beer 😄
  23. Sigh, why did I, foolishly, assume there was only one army book released in 6th edition. Notably I went to uni in 2004 and stopped collecting GW soon after. Given their age there holding up fairly well.
