    Awesome.

I like PotFW on the Krulghast; that might be the way to go over midnight tome.

Did you feel like you needed the bodyguard for Nagash? And how did the Spirit Hosts do?

I only had to use the body guard ability in round one where a unit tanked 10 wounds for nagash, so he could have lived and then healed up…. Spirit host did awesome tanking a kraken eater for two rounds before being wiped out only to have nagash and hex one shotted him lady o was worth her points also I love the spell lore of Nighthaunt but think some of it will be nerfed in next book like the cage spell to make them fight last

took the above list vs sons…. Played with hex bodyguard for nagash…. Was able to table the sons at end of round 4 at which point I was behind on points by two so easily able to make that in round 5

soul drain plus arcane bolts was great as was reaper scythe on the staff

Supreme lord is so confusing.  It either seems to do too much or nothing at all, it's unclear what rolls it can or should reroll.  It's really just a mess of an ability.  If it doesn't work on invocation of nagash than it doesn't work on 3/4 of the abilities that it should, as almost all abilities that return slain models to death units are written based on total wounds characteristic rather than a set number of models.  If it does work on invocation then suddenly boneshapers can restore slain models to morghast units and the like, and that doesn't seem right either.  It basically needs explicit dev clarification for each and every individual ability it could conceivably be used with, making it extremely obnoxious.

I think it works as if u could bring a model back u can add one to that, so u could never bring a morghast back but u can bring two deathriders or 4 mortek

He doesn’t, people always panic when their beloved character is changed in any sort of way. His viability has been shifted more towards support necromancy, while being less survivable himself. We will have to see how that goes in matchups that truely try to focus Nagash down. I’ve seen a few BR’s so far and none where he lost. I’ve yet to test him myself. We desperately need an faq for Nagash’s Supreme Lord ability though. The interpretation of it is wild in some cases, especially in OBR. But yea the Gothizzar returning 2 for every 4+ is very strong indeed.  I enjoy using Mortarchs especially Arkhan with Nagash. All of them have invocations for multiple units that get boosted by Supreme Lord. It’s one big happy family that way. I do hope they come with clarifications rather sooner than later though.

Yeah bringing back 8 dudes per mortek unit while they ignore one rend, can reroll saves and/or plus one to ward save is pretty good… plus still heals Arkhan….

  6. 5 hours ago, That Guy said:

In OBR Nagash can issue only his own CA. He can issue it multiple times per phase, the faq says so. No not all our dudes can do this. If you read “Using Relentless Discipline points” in the faq, it specifically says that CA’s on warscrolls can be issued multiple times, but only by a different model that hasn’t issued an order yet that phase and it can’t be received by the same unit.

Yes twice. As per Core Rules 14.3 Wards. If an ability allows you to negate a wound(So this could be a Mortal wound, a normal wound or both) it is considered a ward. Since reinforce battleshields gives you technically a mortal wound ward of 5+, now that goes to 4+ and indeed normally you have a 6+ ward vs normal wounds, now going up to a 5+.

Nagash and mortek and harvester seems like a resilient combo…. Even with the loss of his allegiance abilities…. Maybe he doesn’t go on the shelf???

I think it’s solid in terms of being able to survive. Any reason why you went for a reinforced Spirit Host unit? By splitting them up you now:

I doubled up to try and take advantage of nagash’s new + to ward save and make them a very hard unit to remove… either way works for different reasons I think

Got my first game in with Nagash…

Wow! Changes things for us even more than I thought.

Please share how it went, I want to find a strong list for nagash and I don’t think it’s in obr or sbgl anymore

I haven't actually faced them but it's certainly a tough match up for Nagash. Rend 3 really hurts him as you can only finest hour once and Roar stops AoD.

If you can engineer a double, Vile Transference will wreck them and top you up, double cast is 70 dice.

I think our highest DPS is Grave Guard. 20 buffed with exploding 6s and an extra attack can kill one but finest hour and AoD and either 6+ or 5+ ward will stop that, so need to target wisely and probably throw a monster in as well.

    something like this maybe?

I don’t think so… I guess min zombie squats and wolves, then roadblock and play the objective game 🤷🏿‍♀️
We don’t have the damage output to delete 35hp models in one go and the return Fire is brutal. You could go for a delay tactics Legion of Night, or kastelai  maybe 🤔

With some necromancers and Mannfred debuffing the heck out of your opponent.  Vengorian to reduce rend… then bring in the guards with van hels or the knights.

but that requires 4/5 units to work in unison, while your opponent only has 4 in total…

Well, you felt it, not very pleasant and pretty unfun

Yeah was lame, I get deleted turn two basically I wonder if OReapers can do the damage needed

  12. 18 minutes ago, Honk said:

Nagash is always tricky to use, since he’s just half your army …

just remember, that he does not benefit from the dynasty, since he‘s no vampire.
And how to tweak, is a difficult question. Maybe the above, less heroes and more Zombers?! Although I don’t think, they really pull their weight except as speedbumps, but that might be my inability to throw some 6s.

for friendly games, I think your list is fine and something to let loose on your local meta. See how it fares and adjust from there. If you need more mobility, switch into wolves. If you need more damage, grave guard, which can also be summoned from the grave for extra mileage.

SoB are the bane of AoS 3.0 😂 four dudes on a rampage in easy mode. Maybe the competitive players are up to the task, but on the grunt level… salt piles and tasty tears

As I found out, but there must be lists we can bring that would be tailored to beating the 4 dudes

So I’m thinking of doing an Archaon and Be’Lakor super-friends setup in each of the four books. My Khorne one is up (in the Khorne thread, of course), if anyone wants to look. Probably pure madness, but I don’t believe in doing any list by the book.

I’m wondering what our best glutos/belakor list would be. Could u even make glutos/archaon work???

(I know I've forgotten people - sorry! - I'm very bad with names, but I do remember your profile pics!)

As you're all quite active on this thread/have an interest in the survey, I thought I'd run these questions past you. These would all be in addition to the old questions, but I'm wondering about edits and additions :)

    • A "how do you feel" question about each daemon (for points)

    • Do you feel that AoS 3 Slaanesh is in a better or worse place than AoS 2 Slaanesh in terms of power

      • Much better

      • A bit better

      • About the same

      • A bit worse

      • Much worse

      •
    • What would you like to see most in a supplement book or tome celestial (tick all that apply)

      • An alternative use of depravity (so not for summoning)

      • More support within the allegiance abilities for mortal only armies

      • A rewrite to the Slaangor Warscroll

      • More hosts/host options to theme an army around

      • More ways to get depravity points

      • Synessa getting an extra spell to cast

      • More synergies available

      • More ways to use Slaves to Darkness and Beasts of Chaos in a Hedonites army

      • Revised spell lores

      • More core battalions available to Slaanesh

      • More grand strategies available to Slaanesh

      • More battle tactics available to Slaanesh

    •  Do you like summoning being a large part of Slaanesh's playstyle (note, this does not mean 'a part at all', but rather referring to it being the arguably strongest part of the allegiance ability)

      • I strongly dislike summoning being a large part of the Slaanesh allegiance ability

      • I somewhat dislike summoning being a large part of the Slaanesh allegiance ability

      • I have no strong opinion

      • I somewhat like summoning being a large part of the Slaanesh allegiance ability

      • I strongly like summoning being a large part of the Slaanesh allegiance ability

    • Out of the following warscrolls, please tick all you feel you would like to have a warscroll tweek or rewrite

      • None of them

      • (List of all units, started with most requested first)

    • Compared to other factions, how do you view the quality of the Slaanesh rules (note, this does not mean strength, but rather choices available, how fun the army is to play, how fun the army is to build lists for, how interesting the warscrolls are etc.)

      • Much below the average battletome

      • A little bit below the average battletome

      • About the same as the average battletome

      • A little bit above the average battletome

      • Much above the average battletome

I’ll go over all this and provide my feed back

    • Thanks 1

I think you and the others in our group sold me on Belakor 😀

Here s the list I m going to bring. Feels like a dedicated anti Nagash list but Nagash probably deserves it. Lol

    Slaanesh Invaders

    +++++++++++
    Warlord battallion
1 extra enhancement (auto include amulet)
1 extra cp once per battle
    Grand strategy- priced sorcery

    Infernal Enrapturess 140
    General

    Contorted epitome 255
    General
    Flaming weapon spell
    Hurler of obscenities
    Amulet of destiny

    Chaos sorcerer lord 115
    Battle rapture spell
    Rod of misrule

    Belakor 360

    11 blissbarb archers 180
    +++++++++++++++++++
    Men of the hearland battallion
    5 slickblade seekers 230
    10 chaos knight w lance 340
    5 hellstriders 135
    Hellscourge

    +++++++++++++++++++++++
    5 hellstriders 135
    Hellscourge

    Endless spell;
Dreadful visage 90 cast on 7+

    2000pts
    40 models
    112 wounds

I ll try to have the enrapturess within 24in of Nagash on deployment in case he takes first turn. If he goes second I ll use belakor ability at that point in case he gets the double turn

For once, my rod of misrule won t help my opponent as I always seem to roll at least a 1 per game with it

While Nagash is under Belakor ability,it is probably my best chance to get rid of him so i meed a plan to charge him on turn 1 which will be difficult.  I ve had good results charging the knights and having my epitome hurling obsenities from 6in at those 3+ armor heroes for a sneaky neg 1 save. I highly rate this command trait in invaders in 3.0

Let us know how it goes… belakor simply is our best counter to god units. Plus he looks awesome and lore wise is scheming with the twins. He hits pretty good with his sword and with flaming weapon even better.
