Why would they do this to 40k which, as people never tired of saying, was where they pulled in most of their money?

Current 40k codices will be invalidated. This is going to be entertaining.

So looks like core rules will be free, and with 3 ways to play a la AoS. Looks like they're aiming to make the crossover from AoS to 40k as easy as possible.

I hope so. A link to the rumour engine page was posted on the AoS Facebook group though, which makes me a little nervous.

The Gor arms fit the Skullreapers really well, and using Wulfen as feral Wrathmongers was an inspired choice. -
