It's a metallic base with a blue layer. I'll try to replicate it with Leadbelcher and Aethermatic Blue probably.

My new weird color scheme for my Tzeentch army I created in Impcat. Inspired by Total War: Warhammer:

Replace the generic Chaos Lord on Foot with a Bloodsecrator? He is heavy armored and buffs KHORNE units.

Does anybody remember if the warscrolls from the Arcane Cataclysm set are identical to the present battletome? edit: And does a box of 20 Acolytes include 2x complete units? I'll only need 10 and would like to sell the other half.

@Malakithe @Duke of Mousillon I was inspired by Total War: Warhammer aswell when I made my army list for S2D. You can make good use of the TZEENTCH Keyword in S2D by taking a Gaunt Summoner on Disc and deepstrike very slow Chosen or Warriors. When you choose Cabalists every hero in your army can cast spells and I even found a purpose for Acolytes! You can find my list here:

He's cheaper in S2D now (240), so there might be adjustment in the future. Different Spell Lore though.

So they do count as Artefacts of Power? Because the core rules mention seperate unique enhancements and my leaked image of that page implies they might be in a different category then artefacts.

Interesting observation, but my conflict is more fundamental: It's between my intention for a list or theme and the tools and obstacles Warhammer provides. Taking a risk with a janky Warhammer army concept is worse then a janky Magic deck. Like I mentioned, I made this experience with my Necron army, where I am in a constant spiral to buy and paint models to fix my Initial janky army concept. But back to topic: @Grimrock Wouldn't you rather reposition slow troops with the TZEENTCH keyword onto objectives or to be screens?

My previous comment lead to the conclusion you quoted: Nevertheless I ended up with this Cabalist list: My overall ideas are (besides playing a heavy armored Tzeentch army): The mounted General and the Knights are the frontline. He should cast Chaos Conduit, Daemonic Speed or something aggressive. The Sorcerer Lord and the Warriors are the backline, who could be ported by Warp Reality into action by the fast Daemon Prince and the Gaunt Summoner. Slow af Chaos Chosen and the Kairic Acolytes are summoned from the Silver Tower into better positions. The Chosen can be placed to screen the Acolytes and the Gaunt Summoner on Disc, who bring missile weapons into the mix. My featherbrained chicken Daemon Prince can fly around and do silly stuff, I don't know.

Nah, sorry. We've seen actually great Battletomes and Codices recently, like Nighthaunt or Genestealer Cult with good internal balance between subfactions and a good range of useable warscrolls. If you compare this battletome with older publications, then it might feel great but it has to compete with other recent books aswell for such an appraisal. Excuse my negativity, but i decided to wait for the regular release and another FAQ before I purchase a S2D army. My hype turned to hope.

Yes, this should be executed in your first movement phase. If you lose him with units in your Silver Tower you'll be ruined.

See, that's why I am asking around about the Gaunt Summoner. You could create a really fast army with a Gaunt Summoner on Disc, a Lord of Change, Chaos Knights, a Chaos Lord on Daemonic Mount and two units of Chosen in the Tower. Cast Daemonic Speed beforehand on the Knights, move everything to a better position, bring your Chosen back from the tower and enjoy your 3D6 charge with the Knights. Put the Tzeentch banner on the Knights to protect against Unleash Hell. edit: Although, when you yeet units from the Silver Tower into enemy territory or on objectives Chaos Warriors get their bonus sooner this way.

Me too, inspired by Total War: Warhammer's Tzeentch units. Battleline of bulky warriors supported by some nasty casters. I do miss some discs though:

How do you all evaluate the Gaunt Summoner on Disc of Tzeentch? Fast Flier, does know all of the spell lore and is a reliable caster, but is very very expensive. And... what is the point of Silvered Portal in this battletome by the way? Which TZEENTCH non-MONSTER unit does a Slaves to Darkness player want to put in reserve?

Dito, i like Tzeentch, but I haven’t discovered what could be as efficient as Khorne or Nurgle in this book yet or if it is as important as the actual Legions. I hope there’s a place for a Lord of Change in the army, probably in Cabalists? Spell slinging Endless Spells from the backline with a Sorcerer and a Gaunt Summoner? Or yeet mounted units with Demonic Speed? Then Warp Reality them back? I am not good enough at this game to make good use of this…
