  1. I think it's all relative. The way indomitus sold out quickly, created a further hype for it. When people who were on the fence saw they couldn't get it anymore, they wanted it more. When the made to order was announced shortly afterwards I think lots of people bought one because they had missed out, and were now given another chance. I know there were many who did want one and weren't able to get one, but I think the way the release was handled inflated the hype (whether GW underestimating demand or issues with COVID or probably a mixture). I nearly even bought one at the made to order stage and I've had no interest in 40k for years. I slapped myself and said no! A year on very happy with that decision. If GW had produced the full qty of indomitus that they eventually sold (through made to order) and had them available from day 1, I doubt they would have actually sold the same total qty. I feel that's what's probably happened with dominion. Because availability is still there, people who are on the fence about it haven't pulled the trigger. I highly doubt GW have produced anywhere near the same qty of dominion to that of indomitus (cos of the popularity of 40k, the already well established armies in the box etc). I did preorder dominion from Dark Sphere through their register of interest, was great value. I mainly went for it for the core book. I'm not sure at this stage if I'll keep the minis or sell them. I'll keep them for now and see how I feel after I've got through some of my backlog. I must say the Kruleboyz have grown on me a lot since their first reveal. Looking forward to the next preview to see what else is coming for them.
  2. Did not realise that. It’ll likely get FAQ’d again. Otherwise it’d probably be some kind of record for a new release rule getting FAQ’d then overturned again in just a matter of months 😆
  3. It was in the FAQ, he can't take artefacts/command traits 😕
  4. Just thinking about the new universal artefacts, Arcane Tome gives an alternative to taking the Spell in a Bottle. Pros, potential for casting an endless spell multiple times in a game as opposed to only once, access to mystic shield and arcane bolt plus unbinds. Also could go on any hero, not just the khemist, which could open up some new options. The only reason I can see for still choosing Spell in a Bottle is that it auto casts. Am I right in thinking that if you took both artefacts in an army, and paid the points for the endless spell (in a bottle) you could then also cast the same spell with the other arcane tome hero? (Obviously not in the same turn, while spell is still on table etc etc). But could you cast the spell from the bottle, then if it gets dispelled cast it again with the other hero? I suppose same situation if you have any allied wizard (not specific to arcane tome). My thinking was if you pay for an endless spell, all your wizards have access to use it. Am I correct on this? EDIT: Just thought of another major reason for taking the Spell in a Bottle still, in that it overrides normal army restrictions on spell choice which is a massive boon. But if a generic ES was chosen for bottle, could another wizard also cast it?
  5. Insta can be fickle, just looked you up and gave you some likes! Great job. I picked up Teclis on sale but haven't let myself start him yet cos of finishing other things. Love the colours you've used.
  6. It does seem like ok value. The mini is easily worth £20 (which could be sold if you don't want it), so that's only £30 for the other content. Which is only £2.50 a month. Whilst I'm not wild about the prospect of a new app (mainly cos I like the current one so much), the old WD archive sounds great.
  7. One of the things that I have loved about the current AoS app is being able to look up warcsrolls/stats of pretty much any model for free. I really hope that does not go away. I enjoy browsing unit stats and it's handy for looking up opponents armies in game. Currently only the allegiance abilities/artefacts/spells/points (tho points are available on warscroll builder) have to be paid for by buying the tome, which is fine by me. Been a long time since I had any interest in 40k, so no idea about how the 40k app works. Anyone know if all unit profiles available to view for free?
  8. Meanwhile Ogors everywhere are praying for dwarf soup!
  9. Yeah, I just meant using the model as an alternative to the usual soulrender, just to add some variety
  10. I suppose he’s no worse than regular Soulrender. Flat 4 attacks on the fish rather than D3. Worse profile but MW on 6’s so probably marginally better on balance. Still fairly cheap as well, plus a few models for objective grabbing? plus (as @Sonnenspeer pointed out) CRAB!! EDIT: I’d love to try out a Morphann Namarti heavy list, nice to have a bit of variety if I ever want to run a second soulrender. Could use the crab and fish as objective markers.

  12. Agree with this, RAW it's totally legal. RAI is a different matter. Can see it argued both ways. Needs an FAQ for definitive answer.
  13. I'd be inclined to leave the Light of Eltharion out. It's a stunning model but just not that points efficient, especially if your meta is very competitive. One of Teclis' big advantages is access to all of the spell lores, I'd consider putting in a wind mage for access to the teleport spell. Maybe an endless spell or two with what's left?
  14. She will be getting a new warscroll in BR:Kragnos.
  15. The problem is that they have to start hyping 3.0 (and the new SCE armour) now, meaning they have had to prematurely reveal the solution to Belakor’s shenanigans. Narratively speaking we still have the Kragnos book to fill in the gaps in between. It would’ve been nice to have a longer gap to raise the stakes for SCE but because the 3.0 announcement has to be made now it spoils the tension somewhat. Understandable, but a shame the way it’s worked out.
  16. Who is this at the centre of this pic? What is happening? Looks like a winged helmet holding a hammer or an axe? Could it be Grugni unveiling the thunderstrike armour?
  17. The swamp theme makes me wonder if we will see a plastic troggoth hag at some point. Really enjoyed the preview, would’ve liked to see the new destruction force but happy enough. Hyped for more previews on the way.
  18. Maybe the hammer banner was for Age of Sigmar:Soul Arena game? PS. Joking
  19. Warcom article says about the Silent People, that they “hibernate and slowly pupate in their hidden cocoons.” Cocoons hatch eventually!! Article also says they’re incredibly violent😳
  20. Really hope the foot slogging Akhelian is a sign of things to come! Would love to have some elite infantry, possibly even a king (or prince) on foot.
  21. Just go to war.com The video box is waiting for it to start
  22. I know, I’m just saying it’s not like destruction have had no new models this edition. Edit: Actually, thinking about it Gloomspite were released in 2.0 as well weren’t they?
