  1. Ok, so if I further leaned into this plan which I will only see myself doing if Giant army doesn't pay off... Each pack of Frost sabers are a different kinda of beast represented by a different themed Hunter. So thinking... Spider riders minus the riders Fenresine wolves (40k wolves) Regular Frost sabers The warcy bird beast (raptorxy or something) Grph hounds What is one or two more thing in I could go with?
  2. Has anyone gone all in on a Skal list? Something like the below? Assuming it wouldn't go very well but I would be interested if someone has and how it went. Leaders Icebrow Hunter (120) - General Icebrow Hunter (120) Icebrow Hunter (120) Icebrow Hunter (120) Icebrow Hunter (120) Icebrow Hunter (120) Battleline Units 12 x Frost Sabres (240) 12 x Frost Sabres (240) 12 x Frost Sabres (240) 12 x Frost Sabres (240) 10 x Frost Sabres (200) Battalions Skal (100) Total: 1980 / 2000 Extra Command Points: 1 Allies: 0 / 400 Wounds: 158
  3. Hello, I have seen spell cards in a magic the gathering style for other factions, was wondering if anyone had seen any or had any for the new(er) Sylvaneth book so I am not always paging back to the spell lore.
  4. Question: how do people rate the ogroid? One of my Fav AOS models. I haven't seen anyone draft a list with it. Also, any other ways to turn enemy models into Chaos spawn besides the one mortal wizards spell and the endless spell? Wondering if I missed any as that seems like a fun gimmick to play up
  5. Looking to start a second army in the future. Toying with Troggs, SpiderFang or Tzeentch. Wondering if I could get advice on the below. I don't plan on running any Grots. Plan would be to try and use endless spells and teleporting the Hag in the opponents face to try and keep them off objectives. I see a weakness as I don't have any real screens. I am not sure if two Fungoid shamans are better than the Troggherd battalion. Was thinking about dropping one Fungoid and maybe the Mushroom to pick it up. Any advice would be great. Not aiming to be a top table army but to win some and lose some while having a good time. Allegiance: Gloomspite Gitz Mortal Realm: Ghur Leaders Dankhold Troggboss (270) - General - Trait: Loonskin Fungoid Cave-Shaman (90) Fungoid Cave-Shaman (90) Troggoth Hag (380) - Artefact: Gryph-feather Charm Battleline 6 x Rockgut Troggoths (280) 6 x Rockgut Troggoths (280) 3 x Fellwater Troggoths (150) 3 x Fellwater Troggoths (150) 3 x Fellwater Troggoths (150) Endless Spells / Terrain / CPs Scuttletide (30) Scrapskuttle's Arachnacauldron (40) Mork's Mighty Mushroom (90) Total: 2000 / 2000 Extra Command Points: 0 Allies: 0 / 400 Wounds: 120
  6. Toying with the idea of a second army between Spiderfang , Troggs, and Tzeetch. Looking at the below. I don't see many lists running two Shamans on Arachs but they seem really good to me. Idea would be for one Shaman to travel with the Fellwaters and drop the -1s to hit spell and attempt to get them to tie up something important, two of the Spider Riders and Shaman to run around with the Shaman dropping double venom spell, and one to keep tabs on the home objective and jump out where needed. Was also thinking about dropping two of the Spider Riders down to 10s and grab an Arach to play from reserve in the opponents backfield to distract them, or dropping two units down to 10s to get a fourth unit of 10 Spider Riders. Scuttle Tide and Morks to try and block the opponent out of objectives. I know I am missing a unit to screen with besides my spider riders, and I am not sure how much that would hurt me as the SpiderRiders seems very fragile. Allegiance: Gloomspite Gitz Leaders Webspinner Shaman on Arachnarok Spider (280) - General Webspinner Shaman on Arachnarok Spider (280) Battleline 15 x Spider Riders (300) 15 x Spider Riders (300) 15 x Spider Riders (300) Units 6 x Fellwater Troggoths (300) Battalions Spider Rider Skittermob (120) Endless Spells / Terrain / CPs Scuttletide (30) Mork's Mighty Mushroom (90) Total: 2000 / 2000 Extra Command Points: 1 Allies: 0 / 400 Wounds: 142
  7. Hello, thinking about Bonesplitterz as a second army to 1000 points (have sylvaneth). Looking for advice on building to 1000 points. Three boxes of the Savage orruks to get batteline boys, big stabbas and two extra bodies to convert into something would be a good buy, or should I drop a box of orruks to get boars? Do Bonesplitterz play fun at 1000 points? I feel that my sylvaneth got alot more enjoyable to use all their toys when I hit 2000 points, and weren't very enjoyable at 1000. Lastly, if I did build up can you get a mawkrusha in to 2000 points under Bonesplitterz? I think not as it runs 460 points. Not sure if I am interested in a big Waaagh but I think it would be cool to convert a Maw Krusha into a Bonesplitterz style beast.
  8. Honk Thanks for the reply. Hard to pick a starting army with so many fun looking options.
  9. Hello, Looking to build my first AoS army. Hoping to start with 1000 points. Torn between Gloomspite and FeC. With two FeC start collecting boxes coming in at 1000 points will folks roll their eyes facing two terrorgiests and summoning in the flayers? Is the below list ok base to go with or am I missing something basic like a lack of objective holding units? FeC1000.pdf
  10. If this is an inappropriate place to post this please chase me away. 2019 goal is to build my first Age of Sigmar army. Pulled between FeC, a Squig heavy Gloomspite list, or a Trogg heavy list. Not looking for top competitive play but I don't want to make a gag army that cannot win. Looking at the attached as a start. Any super glaring issues that someone new to the game wouldn't notice? Not enough bodies to claim objectives? Side question: I am getting the squig herd models because they look great but is the point of the herd to sacrifice/tie up units? Value generated from the fleeing mortal wounds? Will squig herds make it into competitive lists? SquigList1000.pdf
