That artwork is fan-fething-tastic! But it reinforces my feeling about the two hammers, i really prefer the singular large one.

And boy do they get the talk up with these jabs. Nuff said about what's to like or not with these models (like em or not the QUALITY is amazing!), i'm curious how other aspects will turn out. This cannot be all, as most of us agree, and i'm interested whether we will see more elite infantry and monsters for the other elements or some shooters or engines or (bestial?) cavalry. Ox helms aren't up my alley but the sheer design potential... i'm more hyped now, after a release i find mostly meh, than i've been in the last two months.

Cities of Sigmar with some Demigryph Knights for the heavy lifting and Pistoliers to skirnish around should be okay. The Choice of mounted heroes is a bit lacking, as far as horses go...

What with Kroak, Lord Arcanum on foot and all the endless spells? Spending the CP to increase the movement of spells makes them far safer to use without them backfiring the turn after and also increases damage potential. Maybe a Stardrake for another +1 cast and the immovable object he is, large unit of Concussors or Desolators for the countercharge? Though that would leave little points for endless spells and need some fast movers to cap after the "nuke"...

With the sideways "ears" i'd assume mongol influences, otherwise they seem more hellenistic to me, though.

Oh i totally don't look forward to getting a terrain piece. I just can't imagine they wouldn't at some point release one for us, too. I like most terain piece models, they could make a nice collection to get stuff on the board, but ruleswise i'm not ever a fan of mandatory have to brings.

Considering everyone has had their turn with army books now, i'd assume updates for older books starting this summer. We have the current preorders and new High Elves to get through spring, i doubt they'll release yet another new army in the same time span. Expect some more 40 k love in between and then we should see our next chamber open. God i hope they just rewrite our book and give us a terrain piece, we have enough models really. I just don't believe it...

I'd assume celestial vindicators for the +1A ct or hammers for Gavriel Surecharge. The issue with the latter is you want to charge from Scions setting up at the end of the movement phase and the battalion's ability triggers in the hero phase. It also won't be easy to keep Prosecutors alive and in position at the same time. If it's the paladins you care for, skyborne slayers might be the better option, it even has an own thread

Look at the huge vanguard auxiliary chamber battalion, it's doable at 2500 and with it you'be basically got everything. Anvils Longstrikes are the most powerful Vanguard unit, though (some would argue the only one)

What is the Sylvaneth list you struggle with? With just your collection we can't see what the problem is.

The same is true for me, i bought them for the looks, then tried to get them to work. I think a set of three at the current points is a good unit on its own. ot worth investing a ton of buffs, but certainly good to go after the flanks. You'd need some other hammer or workhorse, ofc.

I just had a day off this monday, which i used to "play puppets" with my elder hobby ruiner. She was sitting at the table playing with her dolls, i was sitting there painting mine and we had a wonderful 4 hours of joint enjoyment she's just about to turn 5, so you don't have to wait forever. She also demanded me to paint a gryphhound for her in her favorite colors two years ago, my wife couldn't deny me the painting time till it was done either

I think vanari is just a play on the latin word venari which means to hunt. It's the added copyrightability i guess I'd assume the Tyrionic and Teclian parts will be subfactions rather than individual model lines. We don't want to be excluded feom playing with all the shiny toys after all. Then again i could be totally wrong and they could come up with dual kits for all the things and split them between sun aelves and moon aelves...
