It's sounding like the only things being run in CoS if a second culling occurs is a bunch of humans, stormcasts, and the token duardin or aelf. This book isn't looking good at all. I'd rather them just cut all the lines than release this embarrassment.

Not that is has any bearing on gameplay, but Gotrek is being listed under Dispossessed. Just found that a bit interesting.

That’s where I was getting my thought process. Only thing I could maybe think of is perhaps a new battleline unit maybe focused around combat. Something to act as a screener for other units. I have no idea what that would look like though.

How do you guys keep your flying stand stable while gluing? I can't seem to get mine to stay still. The frigate slowly falls over each time. I've tried making a frame but that doesn't help.

I actually went ahead and started a Kharadron Overlords army. They are different yet still familiar in a way. Probably jumping from one dumpster fire to another competitivewise, but I’m playing a big gamble on their 2.0 battletome being decent.

So I've been looking over the different skyports to find one I like, and I've noticed a bit of a problem as far as the battletome is concerned. Most of the skyports don't really have a personality or they are just archetypes. I want to like Zilfin, but I can't really find anything deeper than, "They like their ships, they go fast". Have skyports been given any more flavor since the battletome in other sources like novels or will we have to wait for the 2.0 battletome to really get a grasp on the sky ports? I might just be reading this all wrong, I'd love to hear your opinion.

@Double MisfireI'm afraid prochuvi is probably right on this. The units are basically frozen in time now and will remain in their current form and be left behind eventually. Same situation as Brets and Tomb Kings. You can probably still play them with the original points with some friends, but by next edition if there is one, they will be probably beyond weak and unplayable. This is not really time for a dwarf party, more like a funeral march into the Halls of the Ancestors. I'm still not sure how the artillery will work unless it's only for this current GHB as things are seeming to indicate.

I pulled the trigger today at the store and bought a box of arkanauts . What's a good direction to build in for 1000 points? Maybe start with 500 points.

I don’t know about you guys, but I’m shopping around for a new army now. What really sucks is most of the stuff is just too outlandish. I want something more grounded. Nothing really appeals to my tastes. Order is basically GA: Stormcasts and Aelves at this point. Dispossessed had that comfy “hearth and home” feel to them that’s is sadly missing is the other armies.

I bought it from my local indipendent store owner. It was his. I don’t get what you are getting at, at that time a month ago Warriors, thunderers, unforged, and cannon were still viable as far as everything was concerned. The only unit not was the miners. At the very least it just cost me $15.

Dispossessed Warriors were already reboxed so I am still screwed. Basically my army is over and now I have to find a new army and every other army does not appeal to me.
