  1. Anyone interested in trading a Stonehorn for my Thundertusk? I can't find the Stonehorn head bitz online and i'm open to trading! I can throw in 2x Mournfang to spice it up too
  2. IMO the Glottkin isn't going to be worth it in either of those lists. I dont think giving plus 1 attacks to 30 plaguebearers or small Blightking units is worth his 380 point cost. His spell is amazing but you wont get it off very often. I think you'd get much more out of his points with more bodies. Just my opinion. The Glottkin needs to be next to big units of BKs , 40 Chaos Marauders or 40 Plague monks. Than his CA is worth it.
  3. Sorry if this is a common question, but would anyone be willing to help a new Nurgle player out? I'm looking to convert my old GW Wyldwoods into Gnarlmaw Trees. Would anyone be able to give me some rough measurements of the base of the Gnarlmaw or a size comparison to the old woods? I know I will have to beef up the base and obviously give it a mouth
  4. Just saw someone on Twitter post the new Forgeworld points. Rogue Idol is now 420 .... A lot of the other monsters went down but our guy lost his 6++ and went up 20. Still a good center piece model, especially considering no more Ethereal Amulet. He is one of the toughest monsters in the game and his rend is now relevant against most other big heroes.
  5. With the rumored point drops, it allows you to run something like the below. I stole this list from another player, so it's not mine. It may seem small but the point changes allow you to Ally in 10 Warhounds. These can act as a fast screen for Plague monks, which they desperately need. I think it's a big boon to the list and it has a lot of potential. The original owner of the list did well with it in a tournament. It has bodies, fast moving flankers, output from Plaguemonks and a big buff/distraction tanky monster. The biggest weakness IMO is glasscannon Plaguemonks and the weak casting. Against better casting armies it will be hard to get those amazing spells off. I'm working on building it now. LEADERS The Glottkin (420) Lord of Afflictions (200) - General - Command Trait : Grandfather's Blessing - Artefact : Rustfang Plague Priest on Plague Furnace (200) Festus the Leechlord (140) UNITS 30 x Plaguebearers (320) 2 x Pusgoyle Blightlords (200) 5 x Putrid Blightkings (160) 40 x Plague Monks (280) 10 x Chaos Warhounds (80) ENDLESS SPELLS / TERRAIN / COMMAND POINTS Extra Command Point (50) TOTAL: 2050/2000
  6. @PlasticCraic talked about one in his blog! It's pretty much exactly what you think! I would imagine some other people take Ironfist and maybe a unit of pigs, but you get the idea! https://plasticcraic.blog/2019/11/11/battletome-orruk-warclans-big-waaagh-review/
  7. You can use Greenskins in the Big Waaghh and it's pretty easy to convert one up!
  8. I was just building Wyveryn lists at lunch yesterday. Such an interesting piece. I wish he had a few more wounds, but he actually hits pretty hard, is mobile and has a pretty small base. Imagine him next to some Big Stabbas or Gruntas. +1 attack on Gruntas gets them to 10 attacks each... and Big Stabbas too. Insanity. He just seems so squishy at 11 wounds but I think for sure Warboss, Wyvern or Boar, have untapped potential. Such a strong buff piece.
  9. It's obvious you took some time in replying and I really appreciate it. You're a Destruction legend and your blog is great. Keep up the good work . Thank you!
  10. I'm actually taking one of the lists you reviewed! Wurgog, Megaboss, Maniak Weirdnob, Wardokk, 6xGoregrunta, 30x Arrow, 30xStikkas, Rogue Idol.
  11. First ever tournament is coming up this weekend. I'm running 30xStikkas and 30xArrowboyz in my Big Waagh. Havent had time to practice a lot of games using both blocks of 30. Does anyone have any general tips about how they deploy with these units?
  12. Not going to lie, I feel like this list would be super fun and quite competitive. It trades gorgruntas and mighty destroyers for extra bodies, faster movement and super strong casting. Goregruntas with Warchanter buff are better than BS cav, but I usually only run one Warchanter so it cant go on everything and I can still put on the Idol or Ardboyz. The bonus of not having Gruntas is that Maniaks are faster can can move 24 with fly. Also, because I dont need a Warboss with Brutish Cunning, my Wurgog is casting 3 spells (4 on BW). This now adds activation wars debuff. Have other people run Wurgog with Fuelled by Spirits , Boney Bitz and BW? Seems strong. Wurrgog Prophet (160) - General - Command Trait : Fuelled by the Spirits - Artefact : Moreky's Boney Bitz Orruk Warchanter (110) Wardokk (80) Wardokk (80) 30 x Savage Orruks (300) 30 x Savage Orruk Arrowboys (360) 10 x Savage Boarboy Maniaks (280) 10 x Orruk Ardboys (180) Rogue Idol (400) Balewind Vortex (40) 1990 points. 209 wounds.
  13. Honestly it's an interesting list. Not many armies will be able to kill all your boyz. I think like you said you'll have trouble killing tough units, especially if your Idol goes down, but to me this list is more about playing objectives then killing. In some matchups you'll be able to chop up your opponents but the really strength in this army in particular is sitting on objectives and not moving. If that's your style than this list is pretty good. Outside of the Idol it's biggest weaknesses are lack of Mortals wounds, lack of rend, lack of ranged output and lack of mobility. A unit of Arrowboyz would give you some reach, and if you put it behind one of your 30 orruk units it would make your opponent have to do something about it. If you go 30 Arrowboyz I would consider a Maniak Weirdnob. With a full 30 man unit his spell is nice. I think it could win a lot of games but it will be matchup dependent and it would be a very grindy. If that's your style it could definitely work! There may be a more balanced list with only 2 30 man units, more buffs (Wardokks) and some ranged/mobility but taking it to the extreme with 90 boyz could work!
  14. Has anyone hear tried a true combined/TAC list? I don't have a MawKrusha but the below seems interesting. I think you would kit out the Krusha to be super tanky so he can be very independent. You have range threats, screens, hard hitting counter charge unit and a big tank. It lacks high rend outside of the Krusha but it feels like this list could adapt to must scenarios. Any thoughts? Megaboss on Maw-Krusha (460) Maniak Weirdnob (120) Orruk Warchanter (110) Savage Big Boss (100) Wardokk (80) 20 x Savage Orruk Arrowboys (240) 20 x Savage Orruk Arrowboys (240) 10 x Savage Orruks (120) 10 x Savage Orruks (120) 15 x Orruk Ardboys (270) Kunnin' Rukk (140) TOTAL: 2000/2000
  15. Yeah definitely worth considering but I have switched to Big Waaghh and haven't looked back. You get the warpaint first turn in most lists and +1 to hit and wound 2nd turn.
  16. I think that current list is probably better in Big Waagh than any BS allegiance. -1 Rend on 6's is nice, but hitting on 3s & 3s is better. The biggest thing you lose is the pregame move. I honestly think most lists with 30 stikka boys are better in Big Waagggh. I know it's a little sad but it's still a great army. Idol rerolling 2's to hit and woudning on 2's isn't bad either
  17. I see him play Bonegrinz, Kop Rukk lists with a lot of boars. He seems to be an amazing player.
  18. Anyone with more experience have any tips for running 30 Stikka Orruks and 30 Arrowboys in the same list? Do you all find your self spreading the 30 Stikka boyz out to screen your heros and arrowboyz? The 18inch range on arrowboys always makes their deployment and movement so important and I was wondering if anyone had any general tips or things they've learned from playing a list with 2 big groups of Orruks.
  19. Facing Gortek this weekend for the first time with the below list. Any advice or tips for facing that stupid dwarf? He is so frightening in combat. I think he would chop through my +3 armor 30 Orruks pretty quickly. Allegiance: Big Waaagh! LEADERS Wurrgog Prophet (160) Orruk Warboss (140) -Waagh Banner Orruk Warchanter (110) Wardokk (80) Wardokk (80) UNITS 30 x Savage Orruks (300) 6 x Orruk Gore-gruntas (320) 10 x Orruk Ardboys (180) 10 x Orruk Ardboys (180) BEHEMOTHS Rogue Idol (400) ENDLESS SPELLS / TERRAIN / COMMAND POINTS Balewind Vortex (40) TOTAL: 1990/2000
  20. Rogue Idol can play a similar role. Not a hero, so not as strong, but he does benefit from the BS spells. I think the +1+1 on the Savage Orruks might be worth losing the BS bonuses, but it's something you'd have to test.
  21. Have people be running the Orruk Warboss with Banner in their lists? I feel like the below combination is super solid core to a Big Waagh Army. You can get to a 3+ rerolling 1's in combat save and 4 attacks at +3 +3 rerolling 1s to wound with 1 CP and the BIgwaagh buffs. It's seems like a pretty competitive anvil and a great way to control the middle of the board. Thoughts? Warboss Banner -140 Wardokk Kunnin Beast Spirits-80 Wardokk-80 30xSavage Orruks with Stikkas. -300 600 points
  22. Does anyone have a spare Stonehorn head? I'd be willing to cover postage and tip you
  23. @PlasticCraic I've been daydreaming about BigStabbas in the Big waagh as well. It seems so powerful, especially when you get them into a monster. Do you think Big Waagh lists can survive withour Arrowboys? I was thinking about the below. It has some powerful threats in there: LEADERS Megaboss on Maw-Krusha (460) - Ethereal, Brutish Cunning, Mean-un Wurrgog Prophet (160) Orruk Warchanter (110) Wardokk (80) Wardokk (80) UNITS 30 x Savage Orruks (300) 6 x Orruk Gore-gruntas (320) 10 x Orruk Ardboys (180) 6 x Savage Big Stabbas (300) TOTAL: 1990/2000 WOUNDS: 172
  24. I'm thinking one of the builds I want to try is 2xSlaughtermaster. Anyone have any ideas or tips for converting normal Gluttons or Mournfang riders? Those are the left over models I have.
