1. That‘s what I am talking about. It has to be restricted. Kroak is pretty cheap, that’s a Nagash-Points-Level-Ability. I agree with @Beliman I initially was very upset with Soulblight, however the book plays really well (streamlined) and it mostly feels right. Point costs are also too high on some models and the damage isn’t really there at all. Yet the book works. It’s too soon to talk about win rates though
2. So, the new healing is a little odd. I‘ve heard people use it as the old one which is wrong. Then people said 3 units they just have to be close to some hero. Meaning 2 units close to one hero and another unit close to a different hero could be picked. Imo that is also wrong. The way I read it is:You pick one hero, if there are three units within range you can heal them, if there are less than 3 in range you can only heal those and the effect ends. Potentially losing healings for not surrounding one jero - which is quite a nerf in my opinion and supports the „crowd within a bubble“ game I despise. different topic: WHY can’t Nagash be 700 points 😭😭 Army Faction: Soulblight Gravelords - Army Type: Vyrkos LEADER 1 x Nagash (965) 1 x Vampire Lord (130) - General - Command Traits: Driven by Deathstench - Artefacts: Ulfenkarni Phylactery - Spells: Ghost-mist - Aspects of the Champion: Fuelled by Ghurish Rage BATTLELINE 40 x Deadwalker Zombies (230) 20 x Deathrattle Skeletons (170) 20 x Deathrattle Skeletons (170) OTHER 20 x Grave Guard (280) TOTAL POINTS: (1945/2000) Created with Warhammer Age of Sigmar: The App
3. They feel about right imo. Kroak is bonkers however: They limit the amount of damage certain attacks can do, but Kroak nuking half the board every Seraphon herophase is fine - what? Kroxigors feel a little too squishy. Saurus and Aggradons feel right! I am a little worried the -1 damage for coalesced still exists. It was perceived as toxic before, yet it remains. I‘d have preferred if they were given a 6+ or 5+ ward.
4. As our army already has a lot of anvils I‘d have preferred if GG with shields would have gotten a tanky-offense buff in addition to the 4+ save meaning: Rolling an unmodified 6 for a save causes a mortal wound. Now call it cursed shields and they’re good to go.
5. That’s a general issue imo. - They could’ve gone nuts already with weird fish-creatures for the Idoneth, but they didn’t. - They could’ve gone nuts already with weird snake and Blood-creatures for the Daughters of Khaine, but they didn’t. - They could’ve gone nuts already with weird Tzeentch creatures, but they didn’t - They could’ve gone nuts already with weird Swamp stuff for the Kruleboyz, but they didn’t - They could’ve gone nuts already with weird undead and Construct/Vampire-creatures for the SBGl, but they only did one meh hero. - They could’ve gone nuts already with weird Dinosaur Monsters for Seraphon, but they didn’t. And the list goes on and on
6. I know what you mean. Their lack of speed also means that the enemy can choose when and with what to engage them, often wiping them off the board with a single unit.
7. In general, why stop there? imo DoK, Idoneth and perhaps other factions could use some armoured units. Daughters of Khaine: Heavily armored with double-tipped poison Spears. The same unit but as a Cavalry „knight“ unit. - This would tune the faction so much. Now add a big beast that’s not a hero and voila. Idoneth: heavily armoured, non-swimming cavalry or even special infantry.
8. Gives me PTSD from waiting for new Bretonnian models vor a decade... -.-
9. @RocketPropelledGrenade I like your list. I am very worried though that you get wiped off the board. Due to the small numbers of "tarpit" units and their lack of survivability. 10x Deathrattle Skeletons 10x Dire Wolves 5x Black Knights 5x Black Knights In my experience (local Meta) everything deals such an absurd amount of damage that 30 Skellies would be needed to even stay around for a single turn. I would get wiped off the board at the end of round 2 if I played so few tarpits. And that's the hard part about the army in my opinion: One requires a lot of tarpit units, yet they take away points for actual damage units. I find it frustatringly hard to get Grave Guard anywhere close to juicy targets as well. Once they're deployed they won't be moving much anymore. I'd have to go with at least a configuration like this: 20x Deathrattle Skeletons 20x Zombies (<- or another 20 Skellies) 10x Dire Wolves 5x Black Knights 5x Black Knights 2x20 GG (points are getting VERY tight now) What is your experience in your local meta @RocketPropelledGrenade?
10. Alright. A VLoZD in Legion of Blood is great at dealing damage as the whole profile gets +1A while being in combat + Unrendable save + hitting 1-3 units on a 2+. <- Absolute Beast. Apart from that: Yes and No, Grave Guards are the way to go and they are slow and fragile. Blood Knights are a litte too expensive, but they can deal 3xD3 Mortal wounds per turn in addition to their solid -2 rend. (they're fine imo!) The true damage is in Black Knights + Wight King on Steed. On the charge the damage is immense. I am finding it hard not to include them in a list. Mannfred is fine. He works really well with a sneaky playstyle: Redeploy-charge + strike first. His damage is okay. The Same goes for Neferata. Apart from those, which are rather specific, there isn't a lot of damage in the book, sadly. We have chip damage here and there but that's it. If our Terrorgheist and Zombiedragon would go down by a good chunk of points they could assist with our damage issue, the same goes for Radukar the Beast (he's a 210 points hero imo). The chariots are a missed opportunity. If the riders would deal a significant amount of damage they could even be worth their points. Nagash forget about that.
11. This makes me sad. Espcially since AoS already has new Wolf Riders...
12. I‘ll use this new Thread to fill (spam) it with images Most of these were painted in the middle of 8th Edition of Warhammer. It’s all of my currently, fully painted and based SBGL models (most are dusty as well, how fitting xD)

13. Have you had a look on ebay? Usually they're sold at fair prices @Tizianolol Pick 3 units they can receive a heal if they're within the heroe's range. The way I read it, it does not scale on a per hero bases it's flat 3 units. However, every unit can only be affected once.
14. It’s a new Strategy of User-Engagement (frantically rotating the phone) 🤣 @MotherGoose imo they could keep the summoning for the Kosargi, but it has to be removed for the cart.
15. Had a 2 vs 2 game yesterday (1,5K each) We played one turn and gave up as chaos and Slaanesh got the double turn after hammering us: 20 Blissbarb Archers melted 10 Doggos with an overkill. After the Screen melted against our expectations they hammered our center to dust, then the double turn. We then decided to continue by not taking the double turn and count it as a win for them. Arkhan used Cursed of years and dealt 22 MWs to the 10 chosen in the center, I followed up with a 9+ Spirit Gale and we cleared to center. Combats started on both flanks (Blood Knights failing a 5+ charge twice) killing most chaos Warriors and Glutos slaying the Grave Guard on the right. The Wolves Wiped the Marauders on the left. The Ossiarchs overkilled the center and Synessa fled to the Gate. we called it a day. It was a fun game! Compared to the Ossiarchs my SBGL dealt very little damage (both units of Grave Guards fought with at least one buff up) Blissbarb Archers were insane. I never anticipated them nuking the screen of wolves that easily.
16. Let‘s hope the new squares are big enough so we can simply put our rounds on top of them.
17. It‘s not. GW is a 2 Billion GBP Company. People waited ages for new Bretonnians, then they were removed as a faction and now they want us to spend money on utter dated minis that were ancient even while Warhammer Fantasy was still around. THAT‘S the actual joke. Khemri is mostly fine as are some other Factions like Drukhari. Bretonnia however, boy, it’s a disgrace.
18. If that’s all they do the system is dead on arrival around here: My gaming group is pretty clear on „refresh all of it or get lost“ - this should especially count for the old-as-time-itself Bretonnians, which look awful.
19. I feel the same. But this also goes for Daughters of Khaine - They play so one dimensional (the visuals of the army just reinforce that). SCE don’t have the issue DoK might have, since we‘ve got plenty Warscrolls to choose from. Most are pointed like the army was very elite - which it simply isn’t. Units crumble too quickly to any kind of pressure (MWs simply melt the army) 🤷🏼‍♂️ it‘s a pity. It‘d help if CAs weren’t limited to specific keywords and chambers and if the thunderstrike armour would cause mortals on a 5+
20. Or Cruise Missle Dragons without Vampire.
21. I need some help. I am trying to write a list for a 1500 points team game. However, I don't want to field one of the new obvious power-lists. (VloZD in Blood etc.) The issue is: I am stuck, I always want to add 2x Black Knights an one Wight King on Mount X_x... I could build a fun Vyrkos list, yet I wonder what the other Legions (except Avengorii) have to offer. Any suggestions!? (I own every Model except Lilly Volga & Lady Annika, so Models are no issue)
22. Alright guys. I am a SCE player myself but haven't touched them in months. Yesterday I tested my SBGL against another player's SCE. My impression was that SCE are lacking in almost every regard. The only unit that got its job done were the Annihalators. With most of the Battletomes having been updated to meet the AoS 3.0 standards, how would you rate SCE in general? (not just regarding Tournaments, but as a faction)
