  1. Strong abilities and interesting abilities should be seperate checkboxes.
  2. I actually like the new FS Priests ability tbh. (I also like the model)
  3. I don’t see a use for the Thrallmaster. He is a support piece that’s supposed to fix a disfunctional unit. So one basically pays double to get use out of Namarti Thralls. You‘d basically have him running around locked in at the -1 Aura. 🤷🏼‍♂️ unless they‘ve also changed Namarti I don’t see how the addiction of this Model helps the army.
  4. Mhm. Just to ignite the fuse and watch the explosion: imo dragons are fine. deal with it
  5. Because MWs aren‘t going away anytime soon, so a ward is the only remedy.
  6. That is until GW utterly destroys the coalition rules for cities as well. Employee: “Uhm, no one is playing the dragons in Stormcast lists…“ Competent Rules Guy: “Well, let‘s force them to! Make dragons utter dirt in all other cases. Be quick with it, I don’t feel like fixing anything, that’s time better used on drinking coffee and building Gauß Canon Tanks.“ — The underlying issue of overpriced, squishy Dragon Princes wasn’t resolved, however, they easily destroyed a lot of fun that could’ve been had.
  7. Reading this thread I have new trigger words: Silent people. They are just not happening, they are a Story side note like the Cathrophranes or whatever they were called. Let those silent people also stay silent in this thread please 😵‍💫
  8. 3. Remove 89% of Mortal wounds from the game and change them to: Devastating Wound: This is an automatic wound with a rend of -2. A bonus to the save can‘t be applied versus this wound. (This ignores ethereal) Roll the save for each Devastating Wound suffered as usual. this closes the gap between normal dmg and mortal wounds. It allows for more interactivity. It’s a soft solution to save stacking while giving expensive units with a good save at least a chance to survive. Example: The charge rule of Annihalators would cause crushing Wounds, while the explosion when they die causes mortal wounds. Ranged Attacks that cause Mortal wounds could be changed to Devastating Wound, toning those units down a little (Longstrike Raptors, Melusai, Sentinels) —— If more complexity is required you could also make Devastating Wound tiers with rend 1 to 3 etc. However: the simpler the better.
  9. They might be in Lore however ingame both armies do not represent what they are supposed to be AT ALL. Well, at least some consistency with Chaos
  10. Short answer: A tentacle-monster or a mounted hero on eel/allopex, heavy infantry. simply more crazy deep sea beasts.
  11. Funnily enough: there’s software that will interpolate frames to make it look smooth. However GW would have to pay for it and they hate investing 🤣
  12. Teclis is the single reason Middengeim fell in the first place he did everything wrong.
  13. That’s at least true from a rules standpoint
  14. A good Battletome consists of the following ingredients(imo): - Variety (models and lists) and options - The army should play the way it is supposed to feel (unlike Khorne, Slaanesh and S2D) - Strong identity/unique mechanics (MW spam is no mechanic) - Good internal balance (unlike the SCE BT) - a minimum of barely usable Warscrolls - Simplification where needed, but not forced upon the rules (no butchered Warscrolls like SCE have 30 of at the moment)
  15. Same! It’s currently a bit weird that every race only works with its own people instead of for example an aelven general commanding humans and dwarves etc
  16. According to Rumors GW switched to another Poster-Boy faction for AoS. Which faction might it be? I am assuming Lumineth, however Soulblight appears to be a bestseller.
  17. Let‘s spice this up shall we? I spent pretty much all of yesterday to put everything I have into Pile of Potential. I thought: Nah I‘ve got easily below 1000 Models - boy, I was so wrong! You can have a look at my collection here: My Pile of Potential Post your own collection via PoP below! P.S.: I decided to sell some models/armies, however I can’t decide which yet
  18. It's 100% not. Dark Eldar Wyches look like steroid-overdosed rockers out of the 80s. The shown model's loadout is also impossible to achieve with Wyches (they always have a pistol or some of the special weapons, what we see is neither). You can also not see any bags or grenates on her belt. So 100% AoS Aelf imo.
  19. Indeed. To me these look like armoured Daughters of Khaine -> Either an Elite Witch Aelve Variant, or proof that Malerions battelines are made of better armoured former Dark Aelves. Anyways BIg: ❤️ I love what I see. The new Avatar of Khaine for 40K they're showing is going to be sick as well! Apart from that it looks like a new Hive-Tyrant kit, a new Chaos Knight (40K), A big Nighthaunt Model and some Nekromunda(?) Model.
  20. I started another Play-Through of The Witcher: Wild Hunt, Blood and Wine which made me think: Why shouldn't Cities of Sigmar receive a subfaction or models that are more knightly? We have the Demi Gryphs (which really need better poses) and that's it. However if one would combine the old bretonnia style with the Free Guild style and added a sprinkle of fantasy beasts we could have really awesome Toussaint-Like (Witcher Faction) Knights organized in knightly orders or Guard-Battalions, bolstering the forefront of Dawnbringer Crusades, while looking awesome while dong so. In concrete I am talkin about: Pistoliers on Demi gryphs. Tauralon Lancers (or sth. similar), mounted Greatswords on some weird beast, Dual-Saber riders etc. Would be really cool imo and not as limited in scope as Bretonnians were, while not requiring its own faction.
  21. If you use common sense it is clear that’s an oversight. That’s my last word on this.
