  1. In image I saw, -20 to Troggboss was the only change. But now you mention it, rockguts and fellwaters weren't on there.
  2. Well, in good news, Troggboss went down by 20....
  3. -20 dankhold. Max 3 endless spells in 2k. Looking like GSG aren't getting any better in this GHB.
  4. Those are very light metallics. Wonder how they'll work with a contrast paint layer on top. And if they shade is designed for metallics, why not have a gloss version too.
  5. No image leaks on here right? Max 3 endless spells in 2000pt lists, 2 in 1000pt list.
  6. No battalions! No allies! Looks like this is GWs expected SoB list: Gatebreaker 490 Krakeneater 490 Warstomper 480 Mancrusher Gargant (180) Mancrusher Gargant (180) Mancrusher Gargant (180) Total: 2000 And it'll be Grand alliance destruction then if I want to do this(?) Gatebreaker 490 Krakeneater 490 Warstomper 480 40 x Stabbas (260) 20 x Stabbas (130) 20 x Shootas (120) Total: 1970 Edit: And the big guys are too big to ally into another army? Sounds like there might be some special Behemat ally rules coming.
  7. Feels to me that the original plan was Lumineth, SOB, GHB2020. Everything has now been pushed back, except GHB, which has roughly the same release date it was always meant to.
  8. Yeah, happened from two different cans from different shops. Will try to get a picture.
  9. Not relying on magic... Are we really saying the only worthwhile glade now is Winterleaf?
  10. UK resident, been using Wraithbone since it came out. Does anyone else get stringy bits on the model afterwards? It's like there were bits of spiderwebs and they've been primed too. Doesn't seem to matter on the weather either, and not had it with any other primer.
  11. What wasn't helping me here, was that when you do the mathhammer, the average number of wounding rend 0 attacks is about the same for both Herd and Boingrots... but I hadn't taken into account rend, and that's where Herd get better there too. So, yeah, I'm starting to get it now. (for reference average number of wounds needed to kill a unit: Boingrots max size: 60 wounds no rend, or 40 wounds at rend 1 or 36 wounds at rend 2. Herd max size: 57.6 wounds no rend, 48 wounds at rend 1 or 2 or more) I was trying to find out reasons to use them, if that makes sense Plus my herd aren't exactly vanilla.....These are my Squig Dice Herd and Fanatics (sadly the photo is a little on the yellow side).
  12. Ignoring battleline requirements, and ignoring more wounds for soaking mortals, and ignoring that to reroll the Boingrots charge I'm going to need a hero. (Ok, maybe all this combined is exactly why to take the Herd!) I would have thought 15 Boingrots for 300pts would give me more damage and similar staying power to 24 Herd for 280 points?
  13. So why take Squig herd in a mostly Squig list? Boingrots are my frontline cavalry. Hoppers give better board control at the loss of damage output, maybe useful for grabbing objectives. Stabbas are my tar pits holding the middle, taking up space and gumming up dangerous units. Shootas are my tar pits that avoid combat, in the backline holding objectives and blocking teleporting/flyers. Troggoths are my chunky elites, playing wherever needed, in both elite killing and horde killing versions, able to soak up damage too. What do Squig herds give me? They feel like Stabbas with a smaller footprint, which means denser damage. And I can boost them with Squig bosses I already have. But I still feel I'd rather take more Stabbas or Boingrots. What am I missing?
  14. Ah, yes, your right - the warscroll even says it's only the netters who need to replace their weapons. So, I guess dropping those netters is giving me about 0.5 extra hits per round, vs a harder to quantify bonus to survivability if they get into melee.
  15. 20 Shootas: with nets, banners and gong or all with bows? 5 fewer shots feel like a reasonable percentage drop, and all the bonuses are only useful for melee.
  16. My birthday is late mid July, so I'm hoping for just a little sooner
  17. "Problem" with the gem is (I feel) it's only useful for use with Harmony. And that's really just a Kurnoth booster. I'd like to have more options with it. But..... Throne would be a waste. Regrowth feels cheap enough already. Dwellers I've yet to be convinced by. Harvest maybe if you can get the range. Treesong, no thanks.
  18. The engine almost feels worth it, but I don't trust the swingyness of it. It could easily get stuck on the other effect. Plus you need to babysit it with another unit.
  19. Is there anything at all you can take in Living City to generate extra CPs, other than via a General's adjunct? Happy to ally from anywhere. Been looking, but can't spot anything.
  20. Current range has a 160pt aleguzzler and a 400pt 8.5inch bonegrinder. Hoping Sons are closer to the latter than the former. And no drunkenness.
  21. Hey there 2-weeks-ago-a74xhx, I've had success doing this! Firstly, one grot sits slightly more forward than the other. So, there's only a small spot that both models sit over. On the single grot, the magnet ends up being quite far back in the robe. Secondly, getting everything to fit flush is fiddly. Bit messy underneath, but that'll never get seen. Recessing the magnet in the mangler helped. When I remove the two blobs of sprayed over blue tac, and I can glue on the hanging grot too.
  22. Been eyeing up Living City since the book launch, but there are so many units in Cities. Was considering a tanks, Kurnoths and Drycha list. Maybe Vanilla Treelords instead for use on the deploy-shoot-move-charge Command Ability. But deepstriking from the table edge of the feels very blockable.
  23. 4 Giants. 60 Stabbas. That sounds like a list I could work with. I just hope they ally across all of Destruction, or maybe even have the GITZ, MAWTRIBES and WARCLANS keywords (a bit like how the Rogue Idol labelled these days).
  24. No love for the Dispossessed? (I not looked enough into to them to know if Dispossessed are a reasonable suggestion or not)
