  1. Whelp.... Here's where I think I landed with the points hikes. Allegiance: Tzeentch- Change Coven: Eternal ConflagurationLord of Change (380)The Changeling (140)Fluxmaster, Herald of Tzeentch on Disc (130)20 x Pink Horrors of Tzeentch (440)10 x Pink Horrors of Tzeentch (220)10 x Pink Horrors of Tzeentch (220)10 x Brimstone Horrors of Tzeentch (60)10 x Brimstone Horrors of Tzeentch (60)10 x Brimstone Horrors of Tzeentch (60)Changehost (180)Extra Command Point (50)Geminids of Uhl-Gysh (60)Total: 2000 / 2000Extra Command Points: 2Allies: 0 / 400Wounds: 94 Alternatively, I drop both the Extra CP and Geminids, down grade the Fluxmaster to a Changecaster, and swap 10 Pinks for 3 Flamers. That gets me 2 x 20 Pinks. I think it might just be too much of a stretch though.
  2. Play it a couple times each way and then decide. Horrors are WAY cooler than Flamers though.
  3. I think expecting a charge is too greedy. I play him simply to mitigate the poor movement. If he can threaten a backfield objective, then great. However, I'll also readily accept a mid-field objective.
  4. I don't really disagree on any particular point. I've never felt "well, this is bad" w Gutrot. While you've convinced me to soften the "auto-include," he is still a threat that must be respected and is a unique effect that covers a weakness. Just bc that cover isn't turned into an outright strength shouldn't invalidate him. That's a LOT of BKs. I'm too skittish for that play.
  5. I think you need a VERY good reason not to. Not wanting to "Be that guy" is good enough but that does sort of fall away in a tourney. Not that we've been doing many of those as of late... For events, I bailed on CH when I wanted to go all in on Multidunious Host. Casually, I played it a couple of times against a couple of mates and then shelved it.
  6. I would ditch the Flamers in favor of more Acolytes. I know Flamers are all the rage but I find it hard to get behind them w/o the buff package. Acolytes are fine battleline and bodies are never bad. I would upgrade the Enlightened to Skyfires. I'm not sure you need another stabby unit w the StD units. Plus I just tanked your shooting in carving out the Flamers. Additional Skyfires would get that back and you definitely want some decent shooting. I'm tempted to consolidate the Knights into 1 unit. You don't really have a hammer unit per se and the Knights could provide that. I'm not sure you should do both Knights and Warriors at 10 though. However, I don't think you could do both though. I like the coverage. You could try it though. I'm aggressive so I'd pick the knights but that's more preferrence than anything else. The Chaos Lord does synergies with the Lord though. Bonus points if you chase the dream of 3 3+/3+/-2 R/2D lances on the Knights!
  7. I would hands down go with the Screamers. Its on theme and both being able to keep up with the knights to screen them and support them is important. I get that Flamers are all the rage but without the buff package they just don't bring much to the table. Something like: Allegiance: Tzeentch- Change Coven: Hosts ArcanumKairos Fateweaver (400)Fluxmaster, Herald of Tzeentch on Disc (130)Magister on Disc of Tzeentch (140)Chaos Lord on Daemonic Mount (170)6 x Screamers of Tzeentch (160)6 x Screamers of Tzeentch (160)3 x Screamers of Tzeentch (80)3 x Screamers of Tzeentch (80)10 x Chaos Knights (360)- Ensorcelled Weapons10 x Chaos Knights (360)- Ensorcelled WeaponsTotal: 2040 / 2000Extra Command Points: 0Allies: 0 / 400Wounds: 147
  8. Gutrot seems like almost an auto-include for BK spam. That kind of mobility is huge in a lot of situations.
  9. I've been thinking of doing a full Bretonia army counts as FEC. Just gotta figure out the GKoTG and wait for it to come up in my painting queue.
  10. It's almost the worst of both worlds. Theoretically, I can now say "See? FIXED!" and go right along running 2-3 blocks of 20 with Lifeswarm, DD and the new Raise Dead spell. GW might keep inching them up until they are finally objectively over-costed long after the trouble makers have gotten bored and moved onto the next shiny.
  11. The damage output is so much better. They're always at 20 models and get their buff spell of more turns. I think Pinks got a win w the new hero building rules due the Raise Dead spell. I'm not a big fan of 10 at all. They are expensive. And probably going up. It's easy to just throw lots of bodies out there but unless you can reliably put out damage then it doesn't much matter. I would ideally run two blocks of 20 and had settled on 20-20-20 under Multidunious Host. That was when my buddy used his veto and told me to dial it back a bit.

  13. 10 pt drop? ..... -10 BKs, + 10 Chaos Warriors & then season to taste. Back to the question of how many BKs to make Blight Cyst worth it. Put another way, how would you build around a core of: 2 x 10 Knights & Gutrot + 10 BKs?
  14. what about something like: Allegiance: ChaosChaos Lord on Daemonic Mount (170)Gutrot Spume (140)Lord of Blights (140)10 x Chaos Knights (360)- Ensorcelled Weapons10 x Chaos Knights (360)- Ensorcelled Weapons10 x Putrid Blightkings (320)10 x Putrid Blightkings (320)5 x Putrid Blightkings (160)Blight Cyst (140)Total: 2110 / 2000Extra Command Points: 1Allies: 0 / 400Wounds: 182 Should pick up pts from the BKs once WarComm updates. Going for T1 charges w the knights off the Trees w additional backfield pressure from Gutrot. I think I've covered the battalion reqs....
  15. Played Forcing the Hand vs OB. He ran 10 of the knights, 20 Guard, 10 guard, 3 units of the big dudes, and then few characters. I deployed 10-20-10 with the Pinks, and supporting heroes, with the Knights and LOC sort of behind a bit center left. He deployed Knights- 20 block - 10 with his characters and 2 Stalker units center. He out dropped me (I'm intentionally running something less than CH and this is part of that I suppose) forcing me to go first. I basically just pushed up and consolidated on objectives. I was trying to insulate both the knights and LOC as best I could. His first turn he charged the 10 Pinks on my left. He chopped them down to the Brimms but was unable to nab the objective. I lost priority and he was able to retreat and charge the Brimms and tag the knights. He put 1 of the stalker units into the knights and was able to sneak 1 into the LoC. He put another into the 20 block in the center. Highlight here was the LoC w his sword using DD for 6 wounds onto the Stalker unit. On my turn I was able to clear out both Stalker units but the knights were just ill equipped to deal w his knights. I put the LoC and Chaos Lord into them as well, which was a bit of an over extension but I needed to take a risk as I fell behind on points. Again, I lost the priority roll. He retreated and charged again w the remaining knights and was also able to put in his 20 block of guard into my Knights and the general into the LoC. He sent his 3rd unit of Stalkers into the 20 block of Pinks again. He was able to clear out the knights, Lord and the LoC. I had the center and had won the attrition battle on the right with 10 Pinks vs 10 Guard, but I had fallen too far behind on points by then. Overall, not bad, I suppose. I would have been in much better shape if I had won either of the two critical priority rolls. I'm not sold on the lances on the knights. 3 attacks @ 3+/3+/-2 R/ 2 D on the charge is mighty tasty but the setup cost might be too high. The weapons would have let me grind with the OB knights. As it was they just couldn't put out any damage. I had an error in not DD charging 10 summoned Blues in to the dog-pile on the objective. That was worth a VP and might have set me up to come back late game. Finally, I should have watched for where the knights went down and put the Changeling opposite them. That extra -1 to hit would have changed things for sure.
  16. Just Daemons. It's what I have the models for. I'm not a big fan of the karic acolyte models. My cultists will have chess club memberships instead of gym memberships.
  17. You might be right about leaving CH alone if all the pieces go up. The Guant Summoners are definitely going up ESPECIALLY if they nudge up Pinks. But it's also GW. I can see them bumping 10 Pinks to 220 birthed discounting the 20 block back to 400. Except that's where all the power is. Oh well. We'll have to see. I thought about trying to run lists at the 220/480 level but my buddy basically said "don't worry until it happens"
  18. Flamers @ 140 is a good start. Its almost a 20% increase. 10 Pinks are fine @ 200. 20 Pinks prob need a bump. Or rather Eternal Conflagration needs a bump. Changehost definitely needs a bump.
  19. Points hikes are the easiest for them to do. It can work but it takes some time. I think an increase to Pinks is probably inevitable and am thinking about how to make up the points.

  21. It really depends on which direction you want to go Mortals or Deamons. After that, it's whether you want a GUO or not. Batch painting a 2K force is an endeavor. While you could theoretically split the difference and paint half of each I strongly recommend looking at some Blightking Blightcyst lists and some Deamon Tallyband lists. Try to proxy a game with each. Then go all in on what you want. Of course it goes without saying pick the models you want to paint. Get a box of both Blightkings and Plaguebearers and paint them up. Which models did you like painting more? Go that direction with the rest of the 2K army.
