  1. First off, who's your source for these spicy Slaves to Darkness leaks? This sounds like my kind of Civil War (the justified kind). If this leak is true, then this is possibly the most important Chaos book since Wrath of the Everchosen. The varanguard swear oaths directly to Archaon, and the 8th circle are the guys NO ONE knows anything about. If even a small minority of them have decided to join Be'lakor, then he just gained a a small army of Chaos Lords who know the layout of the Varanspire and probably a good deal of Archaon's plans (such as his plan to free Slaanesh). Be'lakor has essentially become a chaos god in his own right at this point, with Eternus essentially being his first "daemon prince," and there's no doubt in my mind that tall dark and gruesome will continue to grow in standing throughout the setting.
  2. *Laughs in Purple Sun of Xereus* please, unlike your Jedi Order The Imperishable one comes back.
  3. I really want to see more of the monastery guys, mostly because of the idea of a Daemon deciding to become neutral/good "deity" is such a strange concept even by Warhammer's standards. Plus, a Buddhism-expy is strangely absent from Warhammer Lore.
  4. Naw, let the City Bois keep their cowardly spider-tanks, the children of Hashut will just bend the realm to our will. Daemon Thomas shall lay down the tracks of our realm spanning Rail-Empire!!! "They're two, they're four, they're six, they're eight! Hearts of Iron and Burning Hate!" Edit: It is only my love for LONG LOST NEHEKHARA!!! and my current army projects that are keeping me from reinventing myself as "Thomas the Daemon Engine" on this forum.
  5. Check out the Rumor Thread from yesterday, @Public Universal Duardin, @Clan's Cynic, @Snorri Nelriksson, @Beliman and I went full conspiracy mode on it. We came to the conclusion that Chorfs are either 4.0 or late 3.0 vs the Dawnbringer Crusades.
  6. Odds are the various "mortal" armies will be cross-playable in some form or the other, and if not there's the wonderful world of kit-bashing and "count as" kits. Odds are my preferred armies won't be playable, Nagash squatted us harder than the Squats and I doubt the Vampire Coast will get many models (much less a whole army) if any, but I don't doubt that the vast majority of "Chaos" and "Mortal" armies will get some sort of pass in the coming game.
  7. WHO DARES POSTS DAEMON THOMAS WITHOUT SINGING HIS THEMESONG?!?! I'm betting on the top image based on the previous Forgeworld kits version of Chorf train. I'm admittedly biased based on my history of being a Thomas the Tank Engine kid (the classic show, when it was basically stop-motion and model trains) and still have my train table that I passed down to my younger siblings (my Chorf army will most likely be in his colors).
  8. I’m willing to bet a whole new chorf kit that we’ll see TOW’s Chaos Dwarf roster via Total War, and that the vast majority of said kits will be useable across the two platforms. I genuinely wonder how powerful Hashut and his legions will be. Does Hashut have “Daemon Princes” dedicated to him? Or does he still rely on the Kdaai? Are the Chaos Dwarfs powerful in one region in particular? And if so which one? Will the Forgeworld named characters be transferred to plastic? Or will we get new names heroes (who hopefully have a book tied to them)….. I can’t wait!
  9. I'd argue that much like the Hobgrots in the Kruleboyz, the Horns of Hashut are a strange mix of test model/preview of what's to come. So far with each model tied to Chorfs we've been given vague hints about the (hopefully) upcoming faction and how they operate in the mortal realms. Hobgrots taught us that the chorfs trade their scrap metal and "poor quality" works to other factions in return for slaves. The Horns of Hashut show us that Hashut runs "daemon forges," which presumably pump out the various daemon weapons and engines used by the Slaves to Darkness and other factions. Both kits have a strange "industrial Middle Eastern/Mesopotamian" feel to their armor and weapons, and have access to grenades and flamethrowers. While the writing may not be as "on the wall" as The World Eaters, it is becoming increasingly clear that Chaos Dwarfs are coming to the Mortal Realms, and it looks like they're bringing a whole lot of new toys for chaos to play with.
  10. https://www.warhammer-community.com/2022/07/20/the-horns-of-hashut-bring-misery-death-and-fiery-destruction-to-the-new-edition-of-warcry/ Time to learn about Hashut's new toys! @Clan's Cynic, @Public Universal Duardin, @Beliman! what do you guys think?
  11. Stuff like this makes me pray to god (actual god, not chaos) that GW will use the total war models as a base for updated/new models throughout the hobby.
  12. Hoping for plastic “main” kits (troops and heroes) with named characters being Forgeworld quality resin sculpts.
  13. Except they did a bunch of articles for Chaos back when the codex dropped, and then they suddenly announced the Citadel Paints reboot.
  14. As much as I would love to see the new war cry box drop this weekend, odds are we're gonna be getting the Chaos Space Marine expansions this week (Possesed, Cultists, Chosen, Warpsmith, etc).
  15. I agree, at this point AOS is big enough that certain armies are either falling behind or desperately need an influx of plastic We know that Cities of Sigmar and Slaves of Darkness are getting massive updates, but what about the Fyreslayers who don't really have a proper named character (Gotrek belongs to all the Dawi of Order, not just them) and the Kharadron whose last update was a new hero? We're seeing first get armies get updates now, Soulblight Gravelords, Orruk Warclans, and now Sylvaneth to name a few, but fan favorites like Ogors and Skaven are largely resin, metal, and badly dated sculpts! I want Chaos Dwarfs to make an appearance.... but at the same time I can honestly wait a couple years (until The Old World is finally released) if it means that everyone gets new models for their army of choice.
  16. Master of the Fanged Port Khenti Zemadi is known by many names to the people of the Soul-Vine Bayou, "The Spectral Maw", "Brother of Shadows, and "He Who Eats while He Creates." Nothing is truly known about the patriarch of the Tymsheh Dynasty, save that he is as blind as a Memento Spider, and in the place of hard facts a host of rumors and myths have taken hold in the minds of the swamp tribes. While the stories vary, they all agree on a few key details: Khenti Zemadi was born from a union between a mad Azyrite clockmaker and a Water-Djinn, he is blind but his pale green eyes can pierce through the darkest night of Ulgu, and that when he was mortal he was captured by a Hedonite Carnival to be a part of their leader's menagerie of the strange and exotic curiosities of the realms. The lord of the host forced the young Khenti to fight beasts taken from across the realms, ritually scarring the young boy for each victory in the arena. Khenti met his inglorious end fighting a captured blood knight, accidentally being bestowed the Blood Kiss as his opponent ripped his throat out. When Khenti next awoke, it was amongst the discarded and desecrated dead as a member of the Midnight Aristocracy. Khenti spent the following decades mastering his newfound power over the Corpse Geometries by reviving the dead left in the Hedonites wake, slowly whittling down their numbers until he ripped the champion's weapon from her corpse. Khenti spent the rest of the Age of Chaos and the coming of Sigmar's Storm defending his homeland, securing the support of the remnants of the Djinni and swamp tribes and raising the dead of the bayou to repel any and all invaders. When Sekhubis and his followers were forced to flee from Shyish to Ghur it was inevitable that the two armies of undeath would fight for supremacy. The war quickly became a stalemate, Khenti and his dynasty would launch lightning strikes from the the murky waters, only to retreat into its depths, while Zamses armies would whether the storm, forcing some of the minor tribes and the local wight kings under his banner to bolster and replace the losses inflicted by the gravelord. In the end the two armies entered an uneasy alliance in the wake of the arrival of the daemon sultana Aesha and her household, with Sekhubis and his followers establishing three temple-cities. In exchange for essentially becoming the vassal of Zamses, the soulblight patriarch and his ilk were granted direct control over the Fanged Port and the waterways throughout the new kingdom. Tymsheh Dynasty While the name of the vampire who sired Khenti Zemadi is unknown, it is clear that the bloodline they inadvertently founded has been deeply affected by their environment and their patriarch's unusual heritage. The vampires of the Tymsheh Dynasty are deeply tied to the Sheut Crocodile, strange beasts that seemingly fuse with the shadows that fill the marshes they love to dwell in. The Sheut Crocodile is considered a semi-divine being by both vampire and mortal alike, representing the eternal cycle of life and death. As they grow in both age and power members of the Tymsheh gain the ability to see through the strongest fogs, and their skin becomes as scaled and strong as the crocodiles they revere, with the eldest of Zemadi's get ultimately losing control over the beast within, growing and mutating into the horrors now known as Vengorian Lords.
  17. I’m not gonna lie, I kinda want a Lumineth Phoenix Temple now….. It would make my Tzeentch Daemon Prince conversion a lot easier🙃.
  18. Maybe a Hysh-based Tzeentch Warcry warband? I mean it's all but confirmed that we're getting God-Specific Cultists this time around.
  19. @Clan's Cynic A new Season of War campaign with actual stakes would be amazing. We the players haven't had an active hand in shaping the Narrative since Malign Portents, and I for one would enjoy leading either Death or Chaos to a couple of victories following Broken Realms.
  20. Don't remind me man, I'm still regretting the fact that I got into the hobby too late to pick up my favorite faction (look at my profile name), and didn't have the guts to pick up the Forgeworld kits when they were around. I honestly think that Chorfs will come before Malerion, mostly because they've been bull;t up to an extent throughout battle tomes and Black Library books to the extent that we have confirmed cities ruled by them (Zhar Vyxxa in Shish to name one). I'm hoping for a mixture of the first and second option.
  21. https://www.warhammer-community.com/2022/07/11/your-journey-into-the-heart-of-ghur-starts-with-a-look-inside-the-new-warcry-boxed-set/ Some more Warcry news heading our way. It looks like the "war band tome" will have information for both war bands, and the article references Hashut and "chaos corrupted duardin." I'm really getting my hopes up now, how about you guys?
  22. Someone go to Totalwar.com to see if they've posted anything about a Khuresh DLC! GO GO GO GO!!!
