  1. We're definitely getting some unholy mixture of berserk and souls borne influences recently.... and I'm honestly all for it.
  2. DOWN WITH THE SCALPERS! LONG LIVE LONG THOUGHT LOST NEHEKHARA!!! So far I have no complaints with TOW: The new king looks great and we have a confirmation of new and old kits incoming. The only thing that would make this better is if they previewed some new skeletons as well, but I can't and won't complain.
  3. @Clan's Cynic, I agree that it seems highly probable that the Legion of Azgorh is coming back (not that I'm complaining), heck I even talked about it with @Baron Klatz a few days and pages ago. I disagree with your idea that chorfs will be 100% AOS, instead we'll get a few cross-compatible units and the LoA will bridge the gap aesthetic wise. As long as we get daemon trains and a Kdaai Destroyer kit, everything will be alright imo. Here's hoping that mystery war cry warband displayed on Saturday is Slaaneshi, as that seems to be the way GW is plugging small holes in army lineups (barring stormcast eternals). A Slaaneshi Chaos Lord mounted on a giant Chaos Cobra ( the infamous "lady bits" being optional) would be cool, but I wonder what they would name it? We have a Lord of Pain, Lord of Hubris.... Maybe Lord of Exhilaration?
  4. I might as well throw my two cents in as well. TOW: Naturally I am excited over the fact that LONG LOST NEHEKHARA!!! is about to return, though I don't really like the pale-green paint scheme the skin has atm (I think it's supposed to be a reference to the original Mummy movie posters, but it just doesn't match the army's aesthetic) but that's an easy fix. I'm sad that it's resin, but not THAT sad if you catch my drift. 4 Warriors: The heroes are all amazing. Naturally the Harbinger of Decay is the winner this time around, seeing as how he's nailed that perfect balance between eldritch horror, arthurian knight and utter Nurgle goofiness (his tentacle-horns head option). Of the other three my listing is Grimhold Exile (being the first fyreslayer to be a proper duardin and dual wield hammers), the Marrowscroll Herald (tempting me back to FEC), and the Rabble-Rowza (He's goofy, but otherwise not that unique compared to his fellow Gitz heroes). clearly something big is about to hit AOS and I can't wait to see how these heroes effect the narrative. AOS proper: The new Ironjaws lord is here and he brought home the bacon! Puns aside, I hope that this is a sign that there is more goodies inbound for the orruk community, because you lot deserve more goodies for being such good sports this edition. The Dawnbringer Crusades/Cities of Sigmar are starting to look like a proper medieval crusade, but are not enough for me to give up the unholy quartet or LONG LOST NEHEKHARA!!!! HH: I want rules to use the Knight Lancer in 40k, both as an imperial and chaos knight. The assault squad will be a must have depending on the number of marines in the box, as they'll be painted in Midnight clad instantly. I'm fairly certain that we're getting volkites for mks.iii & iv if that last image was any indication, but I could be wrong...
  5. That’s a good question…. Do we have anyone on the ground who would be willing to share?
  6. But did they at least confirm that we will get plastic kits sold again? Or that the new Tomb King kit will be sold in stores?! Please man! I need the answers to sooth my soul!!!!!
  7. They teased them with TOW articles, but no actual models.
  8. @Clan's Cynic, thank you for the lovely picture, now I’m gonna start gushing about my favorite parts of this masterpiece. For starters, his khopesh and wand/sceptre game is on point! Both convey a sense of age and lost dignity that most AOS models are severely lacking. Second, the skull on his belt and skirt has a beard that matches his actual beard: a useful thing to have when negotiating with dwarfs/duardin. Finally, HE IS A NEW MODEL FOR LONG LOST NEHEKHARA!!!!! But that is not to say that I am unhappy with the other things previewed! The harbingers for both Chaos and Death look amazing, especially the harbinger of decay, and the new fyreslayer actually looks like a slayer! The gloomspite guy is just a loud git (but I love him anyway). Technically yes and now, the last proper book they had was in 4th edition, but they were also included in tamurkhan…..
  9. Congratulations @Public Universal Duardin for your army of choice (besides the obvious one) being reborn with a great hero/commander leading the charge. Inshallah one day we shall have the demonic engines of doom leading the charge in both TOW and AOS, but until then we can convert the Dawnbringer an into new knights of Bretonnia…..
  10. @MitGas YOU ARE NOT WRONG!!!! Let’s go everyone! The first new Tomb King model in nearly half a decade and he kicks paladin booty!!! Dear god I missed most of the preview, did they drop any hints on when the box set will drop?!?!?!
  11. BY LONG LOST NEHEKHARA I AM WEEPING!!! Look at this masterpiece of desert unlife! His false beard alone would make the duardin of the Age of Sigmar weep with envy.
  12. Who’s awake right now beside us @KingBrodd? I can last bust only because I’ve down a literal pot of coffee….
  13. I just want new and relatively decently priced Tomb Kings. I'm tired of looking at the scalpers on eBay ask for nearly 100 dollars for 6th edition skeletons, to say nothing of the good 8th edition models.... AOS is the future, this is accepted fact, but I sincerely hope that we see some level of cooperation between the two studios, if only so that we can use the models produced by TOW without too much fuss from the rules lawyers and meta-gamers that are increasingly popping up in the community.
  14. Life and Death are more closely linked for greenskins than any other race if you think about it, since they reproduce by spreading spores once they die/get wounded. Maybe Gork sees all the nonsense in Shyish with the vamps infighting and wants a piece of the action? While Mork is looking to disrupt Alarielle's life quake because it's healing da boys too quickly? we will unfortunately not know the answers to these questions until Sunday at the earliest....
  15. Homie got hit so quickly he didn't even give the guys who run scryfall a chance to update their previews page..... I know we all love to joke about GW firing people who leak their products in advance, but can we appreciate that as far as we know they haven't sent the literal union busters on any of our tails?
  16. As strategies go, it's so far worked fro The Lion, Sisters of Battle, Squats/Leagues of Votann, Bretonnia and LONG LOST NEHEKHARA!!! So anything is possible. So far in the Horns of Hashut lore book for warcry it's been confirmed that the humans get taller and fancier helms(called Hashutaar) as they progress through the ranks, so it's possible. As I've stated yesterday I think the best case scenario for chorfs would be one or two kits for TOW, the return of whatever Legion of Azgorh kits GW didn't purposefully break, and a metric ton of new units for AOS to tie the ranges together. Beastmen are one of two armies in all of Warhammer that have that special niche of being able to fit in every game's lore without too much editing (the other being daemons). I won't lie and say that I don't want some non-horned units in their ranks, @JReynolds Ghosteater (the previously mentioned Lion-Man of Shyish) is awesome and I wish we saw more of him and his kind, but they shouldn't become as warped as the gods they worshipped if you catch my drift.... *Starts up Arabian Nights* Oh I sincerely hope we get some Araby models, then my dream army could be built with little to no effort beyond building and painting my Pile of Shame....
  17. Unless that happens to be a ghoul from the Nightmare Quest box, it looks like we're getting FEC wave 2 this weekend!!!
  18. I completely agree, in fact my next big hobby purchase are some Night Lords upgrade kits. I sincerely hope we get to see the often teased Eighth Legion’s assault on Craftworld Ulthwe in Tenth Edition. They’ve been talking about it since 7th Edition and I want to see it happen!!!
  19. I grew up on Batman, and the ADB trilogy was simply amazing.
  20. Not even as a joke @Neil Arthur Hotep! I just got started on my Chaos White-Scars army, not to mention the Dark Mechanicus and Night Lords.....
  21. Hey everyone, how would I go about painting Lapis Lazuli onto a model using Citadel Paints? I'm working on some Horns of Hashut and want their leather/cloth bits to look like Zhatan the Black's scheme from TWW, and just realized I don't know how to stat the paint scheme beyond Night Lords Blue.... Any and all help is appreciated.
  22. From what I know of Kislev lore I will agree that they currently have far too many bear themed units, but then again I love bears, so I don't really mind. As for Cathay, they're pretty much a whole new army, so I find it a bit weird that they can already be suffering from "Space Wolf Syndrome," we just have to wait for them to be expanded upon. Otherwise I want a ******-ton of Kdaai! bring back the destroyer, the fire born, and maybe a "named character" version of one of the two so that we can have a Kdaai only army.....
  23. Don't forget the hobgrots hanging out with the Kruleboyz! Jokes aside I personally like the direction that chorfs seem to be going in AOS..... However, I want them to essentially be the new lumineth of both AOS and TOW, so I propose a compromise: GW should bring back the old Legion of Azgorh kits (Because I don't that all of their molds broke), and make two or three plastic kits that's specifically old world, and then create a whole crazy mess in AOS. I honestly am willing to wait for them so long as I can pick up a Kdaai Destroyer and go fully Babylonian on it.
  24. I must respectfully disagree with you sir @Gareth πŸ„, if only because we've gotten teasers for every faction besides green skins for TOW so far.
