That's currently how I play them. I have a list where my heroes are named character so the Verminlord came in as a great General (two spells, daemon, not named, quite cheap) to put my Command Trait and Artefact.  I intend it to run as my competitive list, but I'm not expecting to finish top 10 in a big tournament any time soon haha.

Argh. That makes me regret a bit my choice then, went with my gut feel instead of proper maths.  Stupid question, does the maths remain constant when you stack the same type of Command Ability (+1 Attack per melee weapon) ?

Let’s say you could stack the corruptors commandability.

then  mathematically seen  the woe stave would be a better option when a unit gets buffed three times with the ability

That is very impressive, really like the scenery too (what are you using to make that as I'd really like to make some rocks and hills myself)

Yeah a lot of our stuff is still part built and unpainted. Things have changed since we first started playing as kids back in the 80's. Now our spending potential outweighs our time to paint ?

Well I used Styrodor For the skaven ruins you see on the table.

as for all of those unpainted miniature, well I made a very good deal with a friend of mine, who sold me his whole skaven army (10 000p). For about 150dollars

this probably is one of the main reason why most of my army is still unpainted.?

  3. That looks great.

i really like the clash of big army’s.

Maybe I’ll be joining you sometime in your apocalyptic quest.

    Yes-yes the Vermintide is coming.

(ps: what your seeing her are about 13000points worth of skaven Modells (just mostly unpainted I’m still struggling to get everything done.?)

My point of view, is that Blades and Staff are better because the Verminlord Corruptor grants +1 attack for each melee weapon. Which makes +2  Attack per Rat, and if they charged the same turn already went from 2 attacks with the blade to 3.

Makes a lot of attacks for gooey-rats in togas!

Well, that might be so but having 4attacks with the blades and rerolling every missed hit role will mostly mean not taking the staffs.

I’m not saying, that plague monks with the staff are bad.  But rather beeing just better with their blades.

Good thread. Any other ways of generating command points for my opponents mixed skaven? My mate uses (roughly) verminlord, couple of wizards, 20 20 40 clan rats, Rat ogors, weapons teams and storm fiends. We play open play mainly but want to stick to the rules for the matched games obvs. I’ve got a magewrath throne that he can use that gives him a point per hero phase as long as his general is within 3” and mine isn’t.

There is a realm artifact which allows you to role a dice each time you pay a command point on a 5or more you get it back.

I can only hope experienced players have been using these tactics but everyone should check out this 6 min video on HOW TO USE CLANRATS.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I8adz_Iyiew

Turning clanrats into a great harassment unit using their retreat and charge ability is spicy. I've begun the process of never worrying about their attack profile while also running them in max unit size for more wounds. Brilliant stuff from Doom and Darkness channel.

That’s a great way of using clanrats.

    Hey dude,

Really interesting post, must say I've always dismissed the Chaos allegiance as trash but reading this may give it a go over Pestilens allegiance! Are there any particular non Pestilens Skaven units you'd recommend as part of a mixed list? I normally only ever bring an Arch Warlock on Balewind.

    Cheers

Stormfiends, stormvermins, any kind of Verminlord, warpfire throwers, giant rats and clanrats.
