  1. With the anvil of apotheosis out there for some time, they should be able to implement some level systems... like in the old days, I‘d love that for vampires too. also a mortis Engine as „mount“ could be interesting, vamps have „horses/flying/dragon and the throne and palanquin“ something similar could be available for Necromancers. Just listening to Soul Wars and there a necromancer merges with an undead construct...😻
  2. True... I hoped for a Soulblight - Deadwalker split, just to give both variants a solid opportunity to shine. Necromancer with constructs and mobs while the vampires are elite with maybe some thralls. Still hope that both approaches are viable in casual play
  3. My tea leaves tell me it‘s the nurgle hiccup ... cursed city was probably due last year or so, so they get the old rules for their Warscrolls (mentioned here somewhere) and the implementation into the apps leads to friction loss and artifacts 😅 I‘m still hoping for cool rules, the inspired/empowered mechanic for the new nighthaunt hero has me hoping and musing. Carsteins could get empowered after using a command ability, bossy b!tch35 🙊, necrach after magic, Dragons after a successful charge... and the teclis spanking and overall mortarch disarray leaves space for Abhorash and another centerpiece 🤔 after seeing the sigvald custom vampire 😍🧛🏻‍♂️😍 I want a blender on foot and I want some coven, katakros style
  4. The martial orders sound pretty good, although it sounded a bit like it‘s bloodknights specific 🤔 Implications of feasting and frenzy mechanics are hopefully viable and interesting, too
  5. Ghorgon or cygor from the Beasts of Chaos range could give you some options... head of the herdstone or the endless spell could also be used
  6. Maybe we can hope for some veneration of good old Hashut... 🐮 🚀🚀🚀 💂🏼‍♂️
  7. FEC are extremely hero dependent, for ward save, feeding frenzy and regeneration... and the 5+ armor is nothing to write home about. So if he is able to kill your support hero, their power level will drop significantly
  8. Lost kingdom miniatures comes to mind...😅 might resculpt a gargant, but a nice big oxen head 🧐 just went fully bonkers, ordered a fdm printer and will built the ziggurat terrain 🥃🥳👍 GDubs ain’t stopping me from fielding the Legion
  9. Welcome back suckers... 🍷🧛🏻‍♂️ just reread the Cruciator rules from the latest book... the underworlds „empower“ mechanics seems to be seeping into AoS interesting, but not sure if I like that rule for my precious and brittle lord on foot 🤔 but the possibilities are tempting
  10. After a turn interval discussion with a friend, we came to the conclusion, that they did a lot of fine tuning and balancing on the cheeselords... sadly only on the sales perspective, not the gameplay 🥳 the furry fox boi (hurakan) for 250 points is such a blatant pay2win autoinclude option, it makes my Archregent look pitiful in comparison. but that’s what you get, for signing your soul away to GDubs... gotta pray for good rules, which LoN definitely had and for a nice local gaming group. Good thing I‘m not a competitive player 🤣
  11. No use to speculate in a circle, nurgle world tour messed up last years plans hard, this year people are a bit better adapted, but still things go astray... so some things are thrown out in rapid succession, while others are pushed back 🤷🏿‍♀️ But as I said before, I‘d rather have the first or second book of AoS 3.0, than the last of 2.0 and without the input of the community from big events and tournaments I‘m not even sure if the next iteration of AoS will be a thing. GDubs internal playtesting and balancing has spat out mixed results at best, the FAQ‘21 hasn’t addressed the major problems, the Broken Realm books sound like the broken rules books, with skydwarves and lumineth balling out of control...
  12. That depends on what you want to play... for my deadwatch list (flayers, regent, GkoTg) I’ll need 20, if I feel like summoning some with the regent, but usually I summon a varghulf. And forget to summon with my GkoTg or don’t have a spare CP... Double royal mordants list needs 2x10 and depending how you roll courtwise maybe a third unit for battleline... (+summoning) there you have your 50 ghouls. but if you want to field a more fluffy and casual horde list ... 2x40+10 you‘ll be at three digits easily how you‘ll pick and match your minis is a bit your personal trouble, considering your living situation. Sometimes you’ll want a second GkoTg or for fluff a GkoZd. Or you‘ll go full ****** with a Gristlegore list, then you’ll need 5 🙈 the start collecting box is great for something like this, the Warcry box sounds good to add knights... all depends on what you want and need and what is available
  13. That on the very left is the ammunition guy from the catapult... 😍 he seems to be a bit taller, but also a kinda puppet dancer posture. Looks cool
  14. There is only ONE sprue/box for horrors/flayers/vargheists and which is also used for the courtiers... so you’ll need a bunch of „flayer/horror“ boxes. There is only one build for the Archregent. And a varghulf would be nice.
  15. And that is why we can’t have nice things... The faction is still competitive and you can built a bunch of interesting lists from ONLY THREE UNITS!!! the endless spells are interesting and at least the chalice competitive. and the fluff states, that vampires first created the poor buggers by shunning them and now, as karmic revenge, they live in fear of a highly contagious madness, that will target especially their minds... of course somebody in the GW-Dungeons plans to wreck everything, because their new fluff is just not up to level. Gravelords is a LoN 2.0 so there is enough room for fluff and everybody is praying for interesting mechanics of the dynasties... making one of them fec as a shortcut, because „can’t be bothered“ sounds almost legit, considering the FAQ 21 nighthaunt point desaster well, gotta pray to Nagash and hope for the best
  16. Activating my feeding frenzy... FOR THE LADY!!!
  17. Somebody said something about calming down... HYPETRAIN!!!! (although the second release of LRL really scares me, rule/powercreep wise)
  18. Disclaimer: model bases are off-limits, also during movement... you cannot weave through units, nor land on top of them, including Endless Spells.
  19. Well done GW! I guess everybody was busy writing well balanced Ruminat Cheeselord rules...
  20. killer game with a true monster mash... tabled olynders sorry soiled bedsheets, but sadly lost on points 😓
  21. from the recent core rules designers commentary. if a model is allowed to „hang on to a wall“ for consecutive turns, it should also be able to be placed upon it and wobbly model syndrome applies. the „Place it or leave it“ rule is a houserule
  22. With Nagash as your master, Death is your friend...
  23. If you don’t have any old models and are dead set on getting at it... a start collecting might be a good idea. but just keep in mind, that skellis and zombies get new modelsprues and the rules are changing. sooo just to get the glue back flowing and throwing around some paint, go for it. Otherwise just use your old army to get a first grip on the rules, might not be competitive, but Age of Legions of Nagash is finished anyway. Built a list with „warscroll builder“, load the App and get somebody to teach you the basics. With the Nurgle World Tour going, maybe look at Tabletop Simulator. No experience with that, but a friend said it‘s ok (pretty competitive)
  24. True thing... and I‘m torn between the love for oldhammer and the old fluff (which is dead and gone) and the new approach. although till now we‘ve seen only the rat prince as a lookout for the new dynasties and I am a bit scared if dumbsterfire guy is in charge well, Hope and pray to Nagash for cool and mighty rules
  25. Not so sure about that. I hope they implement some kind of bloodlines and a Choice of Special abilities that come with that choice. And no necrach wields his sword like a blooddragon... and maybe the Duke and Count show the Baron how things are done. Not as a family, more like a calling/ chosen path. then of course you’ll get a competitive set up, (Necromancer with overwhelming dread?!) but that is the way of the WAAC. think about giving your army a general direction with a dynasty, from knights to magic to vermin and rabble, then sprinkle in some flavor... with complementary „allies“. Duke Mastercaster leads his shambling minions, while Baron Mincedmeat is there for the tricky bits... Countess Slicerdicer rides for bloody vengeance, while her sexy assassin earl from handsome takes care of business and Necromancer van der Vanfun manages the minions... that is my dream ⚰️ 😴 💭 🧛🏻‍♂️
