Long time, no post again! I have been building the base of the temple and finished it two days ago, and now I get to work on the roof and the floor. Gotta make the final hyish symbol for it, paint it gold, and finish painting the rest of this thing before I work on the hill. Also found a better way to make flock. Turns out, adding a generous heap of PVA glue allows it to be made into finer stuff, which helps it fit in with the scale of the figures. Will put some on my skeletons soon just to show it off. also, I have plans on using the excess stuff I scraped off of the molding. Turns out, if I crush it with a hammer and apply it to a sheet of cardboard or foam core, I can make a gravel road. Not the fanciest, but it works well I think. Will show more pictured later.

I would argue that the faction wouldnt need reintroducing if they kept information up, but that's just me. and good job on the PHD!

All I know is that I'm getting pretty sick of 40k, and I hope I get the army by next armies on parade...

You took the words out of my mouth and articulated them in a way far better than I did. We may be punished for saying this, but we have no reason why we should ask, or want GW to do more. If they do, there is a risk that they will alienate parts of their audience, and push away those who love the hobby and love the community they have become a part of. It does not matter which side they take, who they try to appeal to. Someone will feel like they are being made "The Other", be felt like the company they enjoyed and the hobby they sunk so much joy into does not want them anymore. I am not naming politics or certain ideals are the most effected by this, mind you. I am saying that no matter what, there will be collateral damage when politics are involved. We have seen this already happen with popular franchises like star wars or star trek, where because people shoved certain politics into escapism there is a rift between the fans that had not existed before. Warhammer and gaming in general is for everyone. This is a two way street. If there are people you do not like, who has ideals you do not agree with, then it is up to you to decide if you would like to talk to them or engage with them. Forcing ideas on others, no matter how much you think you are right, does not bring people together. It destroys bonds, breaks families, and ruins communities. There is a time and place for everything, and I will agree with @HorticulusTGA that this is not what our community is for.

Well they sure seem to be pushing 40k more these last few weeks. It bloody sucks that we seem to have been forgotten to the point where we went for almost two weeks without a single mention of AoS.

I was actually planning to use the mountain rune on the secondary temple. Can’t say smaller because the temple I plan on building is around the same size as my test one as it turns out!

So does anyone think that the eternal guard from wanderers are a good unit to try when combined with Hallowheart? They don’t have the ward save of the Phoenix guard, but they have some really good armor saves and can provide a fairly good screen. Anyone try it out? also, made an (almost) all Cavalry list for hallowheart, and wanted to share because I think it looks fun. May not be good, but it looks fun! All spells are subject to change if needs be, but I think I have enough magic to be annoying, plus a big hammer in the form of evocators on dracolines and a bunch of wild riders. Had to give the thermalrider cloak to the nomad prince to allow him to keep up too. Also can change shadow warriors with pistolers just for some added fun. Long time no update, but I have been... distracted. I worked with more flock, and just need to work up enough courage to start working on the temple (and stop playing ****** rim world...) anyways, I wanted to try and base some of my death models that may or may not be my enemies on my display board. I dunno how I feel about it, so I will ask you guys for your opinion.

Pretty good! The actions was fair, maybe some polish to lay out the scene more. I wondered why a priest of the storm god wouldn’t be reveling in a storm, but the twist was fairly well done. i will say that the Old God was a bit strange, but I forget that the realms had other gods besides the main ones. I thought that it was linked to the soulblight, not something else. Still, pretty creative!

On the plus side I found this gem in the hammerhal herald:

I know, right? at least discuss a tactica article about piling in or building Warcry warbands out of the underworlds warbands. We've been getting strung along since January for this army and we still don't know how much we're getting or if there is more. just give us a little crumble of information. Heck, something for forbidden power would be nice. This isn't Warhammer fantasy battles, people actually wanna play AoS!

man, it is hard to write a faction of nothing but Spocks. Gonna have to see how the novel does it to be honest, but I'm excited to see how it's done. I do wonder if the aetherquarts wears off over time and makes the Lumineth more depressive / volitile, or if it's a permanent effect. I know the Cathaller exists, but I have to see how it's done. I hope the novel fleshes this out a bit more... and doesn't turn into another court of the blind king bout of narrative dissonance between novel and battletome.

Honestly I want the book just so we could see how Lumineth society really is. I do not know if they are completely Spock like, trying to show no emotions while doing everything with logic, or if they are something else. I am thinking of a story, and It may be hard to write if there is no emotion at all with the armies!

Took a day to play Total war II, but also organized the blocks I had for easier assembly. Also put some flocking on a skeleton (black base, so if I put a brown base coat over it it probably would have looked better) just to see how it would look!

Thank you! I just hope they fit in with my board. I finally finished all 13 castings, and it wasn’t as bad as I thought now that I know the ratio to use. Time consuming and I used 7 pounds of my 10 pound bag, but still worth while in my opinion. Plus, kept all the extra stuff this time I may use to make cobblestone roads!

For lumineth I really wouldn’t put it past them to make a cow-owl.... a cowl.

Well, let the stuff kinda dry and then used a cheap coffee grinder to make some flocking for my armies on display board. Hopefully it will work well! Been bouncing between this, total war warhammer II, and casting blocks for the temple, so I am keeping myself busy until the summer semester starts! anyways, redid the bases with the new stuff. My dad says it looks more natural than store bought, but I still think it’s a bit too chunky. We’ll see, though! Also I gotta do something for the saphery symbol, but I don’t know what yet...

Guys... I don’t know what the flock I am doing anymore all I know is that I gotta let this stuff dry before dumping it into a coffee grinder and hoping for the best!
