Skirmish 30 point list Help

The best combos are mainly on Ironjawz. So try building it around Warchanter - cheapest hero.

I played Bonesplitterz warband and they are ****** in Skirmish.

I am looking at regular Orruks. Regular Arrers look good value - 4+4+ shooting (when not moving) 5+ save.

Combined later with Weirdnob Shaman they can boost his spells (if 10+ of them).

Not many "legal" options in Destruction.

I would go for Warchanter, brute boss, and 7 orruks (4 choppas/double choppas and 3 with bows). Actually I think I will try it myself!

That sounds amazing, thanks for the help [emoji4]
i just have a question, Warchanter and 7 Orruks is 30 points, how can you fit the brute boss in there?
And a brute boss is one of the brutes with a claw right?

Right! Wrong calculations;) i must have confused them with grots.. 1 wound but 2 points. Reduce by 4 boyz and add them later.
Yes - Boss with Claw. Boosted by Warchanter hits on 3s. Arrer boyz can snipe on 4s. No magic though..

Honestly Warchanters seem pretty underwhelming to me.  Their best asset is the buff which seems to be of limited use in this format.

Ironjawz and Ogors just seem too expensive if you're starting at low renown levels.  I would have liked the option to let Champions lead until 50 renown.

My guess is that mixed destruction is probably the best option.  I'm considering Moonclan with maybe a Troggoth and some Greenskinz.  All theory no experience I admit.

Personally I think the game is really fun sticking to single faction, however it is certainly set up to be played by Alliance. What you get with this is people just cherry picking a bunch of good champions / specialists, which is of course fine.

A Brute Boss with Klaw & Smasha is a great way to spend 7 renown in any Destruction warband for example.

One thing that jumped out to me is how in Skirmish, the lack of the Big Boss tier of heroes that we used to have in WHFB stands out.  The progression of Champion - Big Boss - Warboss would be a lot of fun from a narrative perspective while also providing a better hero entry point.

Perhaps it would seem less of an issue if the Warchanter was a little more fighty and a little less support however.

I had this thought too, but the General you start with has to stay the General for the duration - you can't drop models or re-organise a warband. So I'm starting with the Orruk Warboss and a low number of other models (we are starting at 35 Renown though, so there is more "wriggle room").

Could you please send me what you consider for a list?
