Mengel Miniatures
I need to cut some MDF bases for some scenery pieces, but I don't have any power tools besides a dremmel. What's the best and easiest way to cut out irregular shapes for scenery bases without power tools (besides a dremmel)? Thanks!
RuneBrush
I'd suggest a coping saw: Also I'd suggest cutting outside as the dust is evil (and can be a carcinogen).
Splitbristle
@RuneBrush Ta, reminded me I needed to get one of those and some MDF to make more AoS friendly scenery!
HobbyHammer
Yep, coping saw all the way.
Lysandestolpe
Oh man, I see the plural used to describe your project. You're going to go insane if your plan is to cut like 10 pieces. Is there no wood workshop close by? A community College that has one and you may be able to sweet talk your use to a band saw? I highly recommend trying this first before you go on a workout that will only give you shoulder and back pain.
Stevewren
Why not buy a cheap jigsaw? Simple enough to use as long as you bear in mind basic health and safety.
Mengel Miniatures
Ended up buying a coping saw, thanks everyone! Now to test it out soon.
HeadHunter
You can use a Dremel to do that, you just need the right bit.
