Kugane
Hello all, I have been working on a 2500 Eshin list, I am new to army building in Age of Sigmar, but I tried to compile a list with the miniatures I currently own. My question is if this list is legal/playable (casually)? I want to add things such as Crown of Conquest to pass battleshock tests. Verminlord Deceiver 320 Skaven Assassin 100 Skaven Assassin 100 Skaven Assassin 100 Arch Warlock 140 Skaven Deathrunner 120 Skaven Deathrunner 120 Skaven Deathrunner 120 40 Nightrunner - 400 (Battleline) 30 Nightrunner - 300 (Battleline) 10 Nightrunner - 100 (Battleline) 10 Nightrunner - 100 (Battleline) 10 Gutter Runner 40 Eshin Clawpack - 80 2 Warplightning Cannon 360 Total: 2500
Terry Pike
Will need to double check but are Nightrunners Battleline if the entire army is Eshin? If they are not battleline normally then the Warp Lightning Cannons would remove there ability to be battleline. I'm sure @Nico is about and can confirm
Bowlzee
@Nico is always lurking! I do believe you're right, and they are only battleline in Pure Eshin lists
Kugane
I see! So that would mean the Arch-Warlock and Warplightning cannons need to be replaced in that case. What to replace them with though?
Terry Pike
You could also just swap out some nightrunners for 3x10 clan rats and keep the Skryre stuff inSent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
Kugane
I suppose this would fix it? You would also need to be exactly 2500 or under for matched play, no sneaking an extra 20points
Kugane
Ah, you are right. I misread Max unit instead of unit cost. Time to fix it. Verminlord Deceiver 320 (Leader, Behemoth) Skaven Assassin - 100 Skaven Assassin - 100 Skaven Assassin - 100 Arch Warlock - 140 Skaven Deathrunner - 120 Skaven Deathrunner - 120 Skaven Deathrunner - 120 40 Nightrunner - 400 10 Nightrunner - 100 10 Nightrunner - 100 10 Clanrats - 60 (Battleline) 10 Clanrats - 60 (Battleline) 10 Clanrats - 60 (Battleline) 10 Clanrats - 60 (Battleline) 10 Gutter Runner - 120 Eshin Clawpack - 80 1 Warplightning Cannon - 180 1 Doomwheel - 140 Total: 2480
Nico
Even with the rule of one stopping you cast Skitterleap Twice, a second VLD could still be worthwhile if you wanted pure Eshin. Total Beatstick, redundancy and -2 to hit with shooting.

I was considering to pick up an older verminlord model for this very purpose, especially the forgeworld Verminlord looks amazing on the field and it can substitute a Deceiver on the field. Thinking to Skitterleap deathrunners into the enemy side, since they count as a hero. I wonder if it would be any good to attach the Assassins to the Deathrunners, since they have Smokebombs and a 50% chance of being a fake if they do get shot down. someone2040
It's a pity that the Nightrunners haven't been updated into newer plastics yet, otherwise I'd love to do an Eshin army. As it is, I'm just going to use Eshin and Skyre type stuff to support my Slaves to Darkness. Back onto the list though, looks pretty good.
Dez
It's actually pretty easy to convert, or just use the less/no armored Clan rats.
