Does anyone know of a fast technique to tone down the white in parts where i overdid the drybrush or it touched parts it wasnt supposed to. I want to keep the white-ish look But in some parts the contrast is gone. Was thinking about using nuln our but it might be better to use a thinned black or dark grey? zilberfrid Posted June 20, 2022 Share Posted June 20, 2022 (edited) These are nice models. Would be an excellent Pistoleer/Outrider standin if not for their cost. Riders even have double pistols or carbines and sabers. Sorry for the bad glazing, They could be Demi standins if you give the riders lances, swords or halberds but they would be small. I'm just getting to grips with that technique and haven't quite found it. Still need to edge highlight the leather and give it some texture, and this is a pic from before I highlighted all the blue bits. Awesome - they give me that vibe from the dawn of war III reveal trailer. As for toning down the white - your best bet might be to just go in with a smaller, lighter drybrush with a darker white to kind of blend it back in? I'm going to hold off on those until I get the 6 Bow Hunters at the same stage. Mostly because I want the colour to be consistent. Green is my weakest colour when painting because I have a red/green colour vision deficiency.
