Ggom
Hey folks, recently decided to move back into a house and am looking to get a cabinet to store my painted armies. Looking for recommendations and experiences! Some things that are meaningful to me: 1. Durability is nice, although I don't plan to have a big dog or cat running around, so it doesn't need to be wrapped in steel or anything 2. UV protection glass seems nice? 3. I currently have about 6k points of armies total. I don't think I will ever go over 10k, not sure if that helps keep things simple. 4. I do have some bigger models (cauldron of blood for instance) and would like the flexibility to store stuff like terrain pieces and other large models. I don't know that I need a way to store a FW titan though.. 5. I like having stuff that can be disassembled and moved. I've moved around alot growing up and it's nice to have stuff that packs well. What cabinets/cases have you all found great?
Noserenda
The IKEA ones are good, detolf I think? You can get extra shelves on ebay to double the capacity and fit a fair bit inside.
Gotz
I'm currently using ikea billys and some plastic boxes for extra space.
readercolin
Personal recommendation for the Ikea billy with glass doors. Note that you can also buy glass shelves for them, and I have mine with 6 shelves, and it currently holds about 20k points in mine, including a number of large models like the stardrake, the ironclad, and the old black dragons.
Jator
Another vote for the ikea billy. It's what I have and I'm happy about my purchase. Money-wise those are hard to beat.
Subscriber SunStorm Posted February 14, 2022 Subscriber Share Posted February 14, 2022 I cannot remember the name, but have some of the steel framed Ikea display cases:
Flippy
Ikea Rudsta, more for „display”, less for „storage”. Edited February 14, 2022 by Flippy
