Mr Spadge Posted February 14, 2020 Share Posted February 14, 2020 Just curious.... amongst my many future project ideas is a stormcast vanguard army (as in vanguard models) Just wondering what people suggest a vanguard list would look like if I want it to be cool as possible.... happy to mix non vanguard stuff in, but would want it to be mostly vanguard. Every list I put together seems to throw a massive unit of long strikes in an anvils army and build around that- which seems boring... so any ideas for a more varied list 🙂 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Kramer Posted February 14, 2020 Share Posted February 14, 2020 Same situation here. I’m first building up to 1,5K as we play that most often but I just went with 6 long strikes because they are cool. And I just play another stormhost to keep myself from just defending those all day. Added to that I have 10 sequitors from the soul wars set to be more of an anvil. Because flying all over the place is cool... but it’s kind of pointless without that anchor unit imo. So I’m currently painting up to: I have only played them in parts though so far. But I like all the different parts. A lot. Just a shame I can’t fit the aether wings in. Because those are also great fun. (Just now realised I could take the gryph charger away from the lord arcanum and fit in those aether wings... but then he doesn’t fit the them anymore. Keep the Palladors buffed and charging (RR 1s to hit, +1 attack), Raptors shoot off heroes or chaff. Just feel the model is slightly to bulky so I’m looking out for conversion opportunity. regarding the list itself I like it. Currently I want that block if sequitors. Just because I need something sturdy in my armies. Solely movement shenanigans armies I never get to work. Maybe with more games underneath my belt.
