Galvainn
That is a great scenery piece! I really like the way it ties in with the theme of your army, it has a great verdant vibe over it. It makes you feel like you're in the realm of life right away, so great job!

Gr3g
Hello ! Thank you very much to those who reacted to my finished scenery, especially to @Galvainn @Kramer and @Lord Veshnakar for their great comments Today I show you my current WIP, the Stormtreeman : I just finished the tabard and the flesh, I had paint it as I will paint my tree revenants ( of them are waiting...) as a link between them and my Stormbushes ^^ Still lot of work to do... Please tell me what do you think Bye !
Lorax
I love the conversion! It looks incredible and it well executed. Magnus and a treeman? The only tiny nitpick would be to possible fill the gap near the neck a little bit more; you could potentially just either put more of a collar around his neck with the vines, or go for the smooth nature of the flesh. Maybe, if it is not too intrusive, you could actually take the head off and move it slightly forward and then do some minor gap filling. It is a beautiful model, and I can't wait to see this fully painted with your armies scheme; the vibrancy of your pink/magenta is impressive.
Gr3g
Hi all ! Tanks @Lorax for your comment ! Unfortunately I did not take the head off beacause I was scared about repositioning it ^^ I tried to mask the gap with some painting. Here it is, the Stormtreeman fully painted : Still missing the base. I will work on it soon. Please tell me what do you think of this big guy Cheers ! 8 1
Gr3g
Hello all ! Today I would like to show you a conversion I have achieved. It is an avatar of the hunt homemade : "The Courtisans of Azhya would usually denigrate the "forest people", considered primitive and inferior : hermit stormcasts, revenants, spirits and other dryads, though the City never hesitated to call it to swell the ranks of stormbushes when needed. However, it was a spirit that had been able to impose itself and to be admitted to the heart of this whimsical and proud Court, its best asset, it is true, having been the fear it inspired. Kurnarhous had a shady and willingly warlike character and declared himself a representative of the so-called "forest people" and no one had dared to question the title for fear of his wrath. Strangely similar to the Kurnoth Hunters, his humanoid body, however, harbored the wildest rumors about his origins, willingly linking it to a resurrection Orion, a true deity who crisscrossed the forest of Athel Loren in the old world. His pride, like his peers, also led him to wrap himself in draperies designed in the finest Elven fabrics, jewelry forged in the most precious metals, while his perfectly shining armor shone constantly as if to dazzle soul that would lay eyes on him. Kurnarhous is particularly quick to go to battle with his enchanted weapon, which he handles with unsuspected dexterity at the sight of his physical build. He remains today still one of the most assiduous defenders of Azhya and allows the City to be able to raise significant osts of spirits and other creatures of the undergrowth to guarantee its relative tranquility." Based on Syll Esske, I made kitbashing with some Kurnoth parts. Please telle me what do you think about it Cheers ! Gr3g
Hi everybody, Today I show you a new conversion for my Wood army, Taularus the Druid : Spoiler Athel Dahak, the lush forest that encircles Azhya is home to all endemic life of Ghyran but, even more, spirits from the shock of the currents of magic between the kingdom of life and the devotees of Azhyr. Thus, besides the stormbushes, many creatures and spirits have benefited from these two sources of power and if there is one that was particularly profitable it is indeed Taularus: druidic spirit of the clearings, the robust body and the crane surmounted by tapered woods, it merged with a dracoline found wounded in the undergrowth. This commendable approach had no other purpose than initially to preserve the life of a creature, as he commanded his worship. However, an unexpected effect occurred, probably caused by the encounter of the enchantments present on the animal and the magic of Taularus. He mutated and saw his body take on the appearance of the dracoline, more exactly the posterior part which lengthened and was equipped with four paws with exaggerated claws. The fusion gave birth to a creature never observed before, the culmination of the mutations caused in Azhya. Now with memories and feelings of the dracoline, Taularus set out to find the remains of the rider, driven by a fear that was not his own, about finding him alive. Prostrate in the hollow of a stump, the cavalier was lying, visibly warrior of the Sacrosanct Chamber judging by the appearance of his helmet. The rest was a mixture of flesh, blood and tissue, leaving no doubt about the violence of the fighting that preceded the escape of the pair. As Taularus removed his helmet, he could not contain his astonishment to discover that it was an elf. He had heard that indeed some of them, considered worthy enough, had been reforgated into stormcasts by Sigmar. This was a heresy for him, especially since he immediately recognized his facial tattoos which left no doubt about her Asraï origin. Using a particularly powerful spell, he breathed into the warrior part of his own soul, now linked to that of the Dracoline. This extra life force would allow the elf's mind to leave its carnal envelope, obviously much too dilapidated, to materialize in an ethereal form of Revenant. * * * Since that episode, Taularus has been pacing Athel Dahak's glades in its new form, perpetually tied to the spirit of a Dracoline and an Elf, who is now on his back wherever he goes. I hope you will like it Bye bye ! 4

TMS
So much great stuff in here! But I think the kurnoth head you've put on Syll'Esske is a bit small. Have you tried with a treelord head instead to see the difference?
Moldek
@Gr3g beautiful work! You should send some pics to white dwarf my man. The contrast paints look great, a bit rougher than your other units, but I'm sure it took you a third of the time

Yes I tried but it's really too big unfortunately... but I found another use for the treelord head, tell me what do you think On 8/27/2019 at 10:15 AM, Moldek said: @Gr3g beautiful work! Unfortunately my succes chances are low I think... You said it all for the contrast paints, third of the time and maybe less !! Today I make a small pause in my tree revenants painting, so I made a new stormbush knight : I made some green stuff touches on it and it's currently in painting session ! I hope I will be able to post news soon. Have a nice day and tell me what do you think Cheers
TMS
That looks great! But I think you should go back and try a durthu or TL ancient head on Syll'Eske again, if you still have them around... a bit too big looks better than a bit too small. More heroic, y'know. 😉

I’m sure there’s an email adress somewhere on the site, they also say you can share it on their facebook pages or use #paintingwarhammer on instagram. I got a gryphound featured on their webstore thanks to that, and I’m not a great painter personally I don’t mind the head on syllesque, I think it works.
