JKr
So I'm new to AoS. New to nurgle. In terms of battle line units I'm thinking the five Putrid Blightkings that I have, another unit of ten. Then I was thinking it'd be useful to have something that's low point cost but high numbers. Something to tar pit with etc. Good idea? Ideally I would take Skaven Plague Monks for that role but alas I realise I can't. So I'm left with the decision of marauders vs warhounds.. Marauders seem as if they can be made more effective and formidable by being part of nurgle. Warhounds look cool as hell. Warhounds clearly have the speed advantage but I can't decide if that's actually good. I'm not expecting my army to be particularly fast so on the one hand having a fast unit to supplement that could clearly be advantageous but on the other hand I'm concerned they would just end up to far ahead, unsupported and quickly be turned into dog meat... 6+ saves isn't particularly encouraging but each model getting two attacks that both hit and wound on a 4+ seems good. So I'm hoping for some opinions and advice on this dilemma. Thanks.
Waiyuren
Sorry pal; warhounds aren't battleline at all, and because they can't be given the Nurgle keyword, can only ever be allies (so couldn't be battleline for you, even if they had that role keyword). ? On the bright side, Marauders are great. ?
JKr
Oh fair enough. Marauders it is then. The models look a little underwhelming. Wondering if I could nurglify them a little. Gauge them up with a scalpel maybe? Thanks.

I'd say look at death for a base model for Nurgle marauders, but the zombie sculpts are even worse. ?
Galdenistal
Converted bloodreavers can work too, there are images out there of some good conversions, usually involving removing Khorne symbols and weapon swaps.
JKr
I'll see what I can do. Bikers from the village people though ???
grungolah
They are pretty boys, but some paint makes them nice and diseased. http://www.tga.community/forums/topic/16993-assembling-marauders-the-choices/?do=findComment&comment=191968
sal4m4nd3r
I used the poxwalkers from the death guard line. Removed gw chem tanks and gun bits, and anything sci-fi. I used shields from the skeleton kit because they are degraded and old. I modeled trees growing out of them to match my blightkings.

Luke1705
I was wondering what people would think of using pox walkers as marauders. I come from 40k where once upon a time Pox Blossom was a thing, so that situates my 2 bricks of marauders pretty nicely.
sal4m4nd3r
I was praised by the Warhammer Community team at Adepticon this year when they saw my conversions. They thought it was a great idea. And they had to approve of them for me to be on the twitch stream. Sorry for the humble brag. Just trying to nail that point down that it’s widely accepted ??
