Well, fell short again. About 2/3 through my warshrine. Damn things just keeps kicking me in the @##%! I get into it then hate it. Its not a particularly fun model to paint. I have finished the priest and the monsters carrying it, most of the platform so progress is happening. Just slow.

Get my step-daughters of Slaanesh ? up to 1000pts + reward/stretch a box of khinerai.

Hopelessly failed so no khinerai for me as of yet! Cauldron is getting there, after that I only need some 10ish witches and the riders for this. Halfway done with steelhearts gang though  349A0FCC-92C5-4717-863A-1CE957D24F44.jpeg.b0f4c9ace07e973834c05b997f2748e8.jpeg

Managed to get my modest one model pledge finished with a few hours to spare. Didn't all turn out as well as I'd hoped, mostly the flesh. But it was a learning experience. Just realised I'm out of the country the week of the golden troll competition he was a practice model for, so luckily got another year to practice :D

Finished my Lord-Relictor to complete my April pledge. He has black armour for Narrative reasons... and more because I bought a damaged model off eBay and should've taken more care putting him right, rather than just being annoyed and then running out of time for a tournament.

Changed my mind on doing lots of Aetherwings as the stretch goal, so have some close to finished Liberators in the time left over.

I like The contrast. Might not have been for the right reasons but it definitely works.

Another 1/3 to go and then that model is done! You’re 2/3 of the way there! Thats awesome for a model that’s being problematic.

I have a 40K imperial knight that is doing that same thing for me. It’s been ~1/3 done now for months ... I’ll pick it up paint on it a little and then go back to my AoS painting. (My current mental ‘excuse’ is that the carapace and armor plating needs to be primed along with the weapons ... and engine piping .... and it’s been too cold/windy/wet etc. to prime ... 9_9 )

When painting stuff that I’m not as enthusiastic about (like large blocks of battleline Moonclan grots with complex color schemes ... don’t ask .... ¬¬ or that imperial knight O.o ) that when doing some work on them when I start getting drained ... I’ll move over to something that I’m looking forward to painting.

Think of it as something like a ‘painting motivator/reward’ like a cool looking hero or something in completely different colors, or uses a different technique to paint. B|

Sometimes a technique change will jump-start my motivation. I was having issues for months on getting my Gaunt Summoner completed ... top on my list of ‘painting contract’ units to complete ... changed to trying out blending through using glazed for the robe instead of my normal process and blew through him in a couple days. ^_^

Don’t forget to Post up pics of where you are on the WIP Wednesday thread (or the current Monthly Painting Contract thread if you’d like) so we can see the cool work you’re doing. :)

@TheOtherJosh thanks for the pep talk mate. For a lot of my motivation I need to be playing, but with work and family commitments, haven't done a lot of that. The issue with this particular model is that is was supposed to be the reward model after knocking over the daemonettes. I am trying to go troops / hero or big thing to try to break up the monotony.

Ah, just having a grumble really. First world problems and all that... it'll get done and look fine.
