Filius
Hi there, at first: I'm pretty new around here and hope, that this is the right forum for the question. I'm not a native english speaker and stumble over the word "endrin" within the Kharadron Overlords Battletome a lot. I assume it's made up by Games Workshop, an should mean something similar to "engine", as there are Endrineers. But I'm not really sure because it's used a bit differently here and there ("endrin-works" and "aether-endrin"). Is there some notion to a native Speaker in "endrin" that goes beyond "engine"? Thanks in advance!
stato
They use endrin to describe the balloon/blimp/floatation type things they use, but it is a made-up word you are correct.
Twitch of Izalith
GW are very keen to make up their own special words since they lost parts of a copyright case a couple of years back. Its all good fun listening to people trying to say "endrinriggers" without sounding like a drunk old man trying to say engine riggers

No? it's old khazalid, meaning engine. Yes, endrineer is basically engineer.

It's a made-up word anyway, and the funniest is the made-up word with the suffix from English (or French, rather, but no matter). GW are not Tolkien anyway.
