Lysandestolpe
Got a few moments over today to work a little on the Barracks. So here is an update. excuse the crappy pics. There are quite a few windows that needs to be cut out and glued together for this one. Probably about 20-25 total windows.

Means a lot coming from you The tiles are definitely the one thing that made me pause for like a month in the process of building it. Now I have started getting the windows on there which makes the building come to life a little bit more.
Ademo
Yeh know the feeling - turning a corner and seeing the end in sight - any thoughts on colour scheme? I always find roof tiles tricky to pick colours for! Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
Lysandestolpe
@Ademo I did the other one a magenta tiles with sandy yellow walls. I may go for a pale grey walls and teal tiles for this one. I am up for suggestions if you have any Or I may just paint it to match the other one. Ademo
Reds and blues seem to be popular so teal could well work! Lots of cool artwork out there of fantasy towns to draw inspiration from - the game 'Monkey Island' has some cool (and quirky) backgrounds. Davariel
I always love seeing people cut loose and build gorgeous pieces of terrain, even more so if it's themed to an army! Keep up the great work.

Jontypython
Hi, All of these piece look amazing, wonderfully executed! What do you use for the bases of your scenery pieces? I need to start putting loads of my bits on to bases as it works better for AoS. Jon

Jon Hey Jon, I use masonite (MDF) boards that I cut with a band-saw. Always remember to put an X and paint around the backside rim of the base so that the plate doesnt warp when you paint/glue it. Barimbino
@Lysandestolpe this looks amazing. So much patience and attention to details, really makes your work just pop. How exactly do you get your foam to smooth out? Especially with the temple, the foam always looks jagged and rough whenever I cut it.

It is when the blade gets dull that it rips the foam rather than cutting through it.
