They'll almost certainly be separate. None of the other book related releases with models required getting them together (Raine, Gotrek, Valerian/Aleya).
I think the only time they've directly tied a book release with a game item were the Underworld cards and their respective novels, though those might've just been alt-art.
Arcane Cataclysm and a lot of other AoS up for pre-order next week.
Arcane Cataclysm
Drekki Flynt + Novel
Cado Ezechiar + Novel
Deathmaster/Lady of Vines/Incarnate of Ghur standalone release
Cleansing Aqualith/Megadroth Remains terrain
Centaurion Marshal
Chaos Legionnaires
Warcry Compendium
Is it weird to be saying I think AoS won this one?
The Terminator looks great, but his pose and style don't seem like they'd mesh well with anything else. Too blocky and static and obviously designed as a reference to that classic art I'm sure someone will link any second now.
By comparison the Sorceress looks like an alternative Sorcerer sculpt and not out of place in a StD army. Also the little acolyte minion thingies are a cute touch without taking away from her model.
Enlightener article.
Sounds like it may be a surprising ways out yet, 'near future' instead of the 'Coming soon!' they usually tout.
The art's nice though.
My guess is Cogfort will scale down to the tabletop somewhat even if it looks like the W+ animation, but in lore they'll be closer to that video.
They could also do the same thing as the Kharadron vessels, where there are some variants which are too big for tabletop and are 'off-screen' during the actual battle.
The Conquistador look of those Freeguild is consistent with the Deathmaster trailer.
The Cogfort also looks about the right size to be an army centrepiece if it were a model.
It's definitely the weakest of the trailers in my opinion, also feels pretty rushed. I also think it's telling people seemed more excited about how cool the new Slaanesh Lord looks compared to her, although that might have something to do with her model already being leaked.
Her spending half the trailer getting beaten up probably doesn't help.
I always figured Chaos was the easiest to handwave on account of there being numerous examples of the Chaos Gods resurrecting their favoured champions even back in WHFB.
It's not unusual for Forge World stuff to go up the next week after it's announced, but I think this might be the quickest turnaround for sure.
The Leviathan Siege Dreadnought was only announced on a Thursday and went up for pre-order the following Saturday, so never say never?
That's a pleasant surprise. I always got the vibe from when they questioned about this before like they were reluctant to a make a CoChaos book for some reason. I wonder if it has more to do with it potentially 'spoiling' a lot of the (now leaked) Slaves To Darkness releases, similar to how Champions of Death's PDF came out very shortly after the Soulblight Gravelords reveals went public.
I don't think stating you 'hate religion' and then going on a rant about 'godsuckers' is doing much for your argument beyond coming off as being more resentful of religious individuals in the real world than anything else.
Age of Sigmar is a setting where gods are indisputably real and literally walk the same ground as their followers and prayers are often answered. Not expecting a faction who are led by somebody who goes by God-King to incorporate religious elememts is like getting mad the ground is wet when it rains.
Hell, even the Kharadron incorporate iconography of Grungni.
40k they might be desperately trying to get everything out of the door before 10th edition hits, because the rumours floating around are that all of the Codexs will be replaced by Indexes again. Be a bit awkward if they drop World Eaters in peoples lap for two months and then it's immediately useless, when originally it was meant to arrive mid-2022.
