  1. Thanks, I will try to make more. I hope I will finish my other stories for Yelena soon, so I could make a counterpart of those stories here. (The first meeting between Yelena and Christina).

I think the biggest problem with my stories is the timeline. The monastery were Yelena and Verena are coming from were written that they were fallen hundreds of years ago, while Rosenheim and Mithrilfels/Mithrilrock would be during this Generation, so my continent Eloni and the Part of Chamon weren't corrupted for a long time during the Age of Chaos.

There is also the point that most of my stories contain my own armies (good and evil). The only exeption was my battlerteport I wrote in "Battle of Heroes"

I have a third project that didn't has a blog here yet about my Skaven Army that is already mentioned in Yelenas Story in my Stormcast Project, and about 5-6 armies, that are waiting as well (Nurgle Mortal + Rotbringers + Daemons, Khorne Bloodbound, Swifthawk Agents + Eldritch Council, Darkling Covens + Scourge Privateers + perhaps Order Serpendis,  Bonesplitterz, Ogors). And my skaven actually have only 7 painted models and about 3 parts of backbround that isn't translated, yet.

This project here is the special one of all of my projects because it's more a proxy project to give the continent life.

    Edit:

And thanks that you like the german name, I changed Mithrilrock back to Mithrilfels. I think, that it makes it a little easier for me)

Hammer pants and novelty "I got hammered" t-shirts

Very funny guys. Even some medieval underwear looks like a little like hammer pants, I don't think these would fit into the Stormcast Eternals Armor.

I would imagine padding and mail of some sort.

Sounds like the most propable for me. After we only see the platearmor and the that material we see in the jointparts of the armor, there could be perhaps some sort of thin padding, but not much room for many cloth underneath it.

I think I will use for my story some sort loincloth as underwear. In case of women some sort of bra like the witch Aelves wear at best, or bandages (didn't female archers use bandages so there chest (if I use the other world it will probably be censored, because I saw it in my last comment) won't prevent them from shooting with a bow. Don't think that this will work for a Stormcast in that way after the armor itself has a bulge in the chestpart.

In my last comment there was the point with some sort of corset, but the longer I think I would say that it could be a disadvantage because it could prevent the breathing.

One intereting point is, that when we are looking at female warriors in fantasysettings it often looks like they would wear metallic armour on there bare skin, so it really could be (after AoS is a fantasy setting), that they could wear nothing at all unterneath the stormcasts platearmor.

I imagine Stormcast as those who essentially most of the time are in their armour. Like they stroll around the keeps, castles, etc in full armour, always ready in case needing to be called into action.

Hence, the only times they might be outside their armour would be for feasts, sleeping (although during war, might even sleep in their armour) and showering.

I would imagine when they are outside their armour, they wear pretty plain stuff for the most part. Perhaps the more 'noble' ones like Tempest Lords might fancy a bit of a dress up with the latest fashion. Otherwise I see them more like monks, pretty plain, boring clothes, as they have no real need to have wordly desires as their primary purpose is to fight in Sigmar's name.

Yeah, looks like the same as for Space Marines in 40k. And even those have there human sides.

I think the answer fits the question, what they wear when they didn't wear there armour, but the question, what they wear underneath there armour is still open. I'm not so familiar with medieval stuff. Perhaps they wear the same stuff a knight in those times weared? But the armour lookes a little tighter than medieval knights armour. So do they wear some close underneath, some sort of mostly black bodysuit, some sort of underwear (however those lookes like), only some shorts (while women use some sort of bra, a corset or bandages to cover there chest) or are they really completely naked inside there armour?

Particular this part would be interesting in case of my story or should I just make something up and hope that it will work?

  4. Nice article. I thinkthat the Aesthetics are a good point why some factions got splitted.

The mainproblem with the High Elves (or High Aelfs) is that there linetimes are quite the same as the ones used by the Wanderers (but with another optic). So why should we have multiple aelfish archer and spearmen units.

In case of the Dark Covens and Order Serpendis. It's true. After GW released the new models in 8. Edition. Both factions aren't as different in there optic as they were in 7. Editon. So this split could have been a little rushed.

I think we have to see, what we will get.

One final unit you didn't cover but is probably worth mentioning is the Sisters of the Watch. I'm still baffled that GW moved them to Wanderers when literally every high elf faction is desperately starved for units. The aesthetics of the models are very much high elven, too. They even have a fire motif for crying out loud - which doesn't exactly fit with the green leafy forest look of the Wanderers.

I think, there could be another point why they became wanders, even its a little strange to fit there. The point could be because they follow Alarielle.

When they came out in 8. Edition they where the guardians of the hand-maidens and the Everqueen. And the Everqueen was Alarielle. And Allarielle herself was a High Elves model.

After the wanderers are the faction that could be the closest to Allarielle and the Sisters are perhaps worshiping and fighting for her (if GW wants to stay with some of this background), that could be the connection, why they are Wanderers.

  5. I think I had used originalbases but for once I had bought those bases first (started buying originalbases after I bought some 60mm bases that were in that case a little smaller) and second after these models have those small gluepoints it was more easy just clipping the edge of the old base and glueing it ontop the warmachine one. all my Prosecutors use those bases in my case but used plastic card instead of a 40mm base.

  6. The Sisters of Silent Head was the first Idea for a female head. Think, after I wrote in her characterdescription that she was a ranger, I could have use a Wildwood Ranger head instead. I think in this project or another one there will be two models more after I made 10 Sisters of Silence models as somesort of paladinorder, where the idea has come from Red Geists The Army of Siebenbur Castle (Full Pics)

Making the bases was quite easy. Just used the Texture Colors "Armageddon Dust" and "Armageddon Dunes" as base, shaded it Agrax Earthshade and trybrushed it with karak stone.
