  1. Cheers for the comments. I left Morathi out as I didnt want to Crutch use her and the "normal" DOK list Comet is in to have an affect vs armies that hold annoying units back I have to chew through plus the auto dispel is nice to have.
  2. DOK could do with some more options. We still havent had the temple Khelt Nar from the book turn up yet, and their are supposed to be anti chaos fighters, so maybe something might come up in 2020
  3. Think I have my list happy for LVO. LVO2020 DOK: Hag Narr 2000/2000 (9 Drops) General: Bloodwrack Shrine, Devoted Disciples, Shadow Stone, Mindrazor Hag Queen on Cauldron of Blood (Blessing of Khaine) Hag Queen (Catachism of Murder) Bloodwrack Medusa (Shroud of despair (though maybe steed of shadows) Knight-Incantor 30 Sisters of Slaughter (Bucklers) 10 Witch Aelves (knives) 20 Blood Sisters 10 Shadow Warriors Everblaze Comet
  4. tried double Bloodwrack Medusa on Wed (one shrine, one foot) and in turn 2 both shot into 40 Mortek guard, killing 15. The overlapping shooting on a compact horde unit is great. Sadly I only got 1 turn of shooting with them as it was blood and glory and I won turn 3
  5. Its a good enough list. 10 Snakes can really hurt as long as you screen them to get them into combat.
  6. This When the book gets a redo hopefully they will be reviewed. As Graywater says, 1 damage at rend 1 just doesnt cut it. 1 mortal wound on a 6 and then no additional damage doesnt cut it. 2 shots, or damage 2 would help. I think 2 shots would be a lot better, as then you can get a good mix of damage with a few MW on top. Until then, mine will remain unused and unloved
  7. I feel it makes it more balanced. It says nothing about healing the wounds back, so you can still take X mortal wounds and then just heal them back. So can still take Ignax scales in case you roll a 5/6 on wounds and heal back the others. Even getting a +2-4 will help spells massivly I am relooking at doing a cities list with Gortek atm after LVO, and Hallowheart seem the best option with support magics Looking at: Hallowheart Annointed (General) Veteran of the Blazing Crusade Knight Incantor (Adjutant), elemental Cyclone, Sear Wounds, Ignax scales Battlemage of Ghur, elemental cyclone, sear wounds Sorceress: Roaming wildfire, Ignite weapons 30 Phoenix Guard 20 Dark Shards (retinue) 10 Dark shards Gotrek Gurnisson 10 Shadow Warriors Quicksilver Swords Emerald Lifeswarm Everblaze Comet Purple Sun of Shyish Bubble the casters with OG in front and big unit of 20 darkshards behind as fire support. Unit of 10 camps an obj and the shadow warriors get another/character assassinate. Use Ghur spell to make Gotrek fast, and magic to keep him and the PG alive. 6 spells a turn give good support but and the endless spells should help do damage
  8. Just heard you can as its not a prayer of khaine and you can multi cast warscroll prayers
  9. "However, the same Prayer of the Khainite Cult can only be prayed for once in each of your hero phases, regardless of how many priests know that prayer." Avatar gives all the of hags "wrath of khaine" prayer on top of their other prayers but I cant see it anywhere that Wrath of khaine can be used more than once
  10. I kinda wish they changed it from a prayer to keeping the Avatar within 6 or 12 of a hag I would think about using one if it didnt fail to do anything for a whole turn on a 1 or 2
  11. Not sure if this was touched on yet today, but Slaanesh FAQ is up. Locus now starts at 5+ and summon points increased (like Kipper is 45 now)
  12. Daughters of khaine: Blood Stalkers: 140 to 120 Avatar of Khaine: 180 - 140
  13. Even at 120 they are pretty meh still. Dont think they will see play much. Avatar 180 - 140 is interesting but still I dont think I will take it
  14. She deserves all the nice things! like 60pt Hag Queens
  15. 1: Depends what you like really. Both units are great. Depends if you want more attacks over 6" pile in and reach 2. 30 of both is a great unit. 2: It depends really, if you want to be competitive, Daughters of khaine. Gloomspite gitz are a good army, but just Troggoths are a tough army to play as you dont have many units. they hit hard, but just seem to be lacking really. DOK virtually all your range is great (bar Stalkers which are meh) so have a great choice. Both are probably going to be costly though in terms of money. DOK battleline is not cheap
  16. The blood sisters? sure. I think 10 for 280pts is a fine support unit for units of 30 SOS/WE Blood stalkers, no. its 280pts for 10 shots. For 60pts less you can have 20 Shadowarriors which are so much better. If Blood Stalkers could be core, same as blood sisters, with a Medusa, and maybe 120pts for 5, or increased shots if stationary, then sure Hopefully 2020 Sees DoK update with Endless spells, faction terrain and some rules tweeks
  17. Double Cauldron doesn't really offer much bar being able to have more board control with the +1 bravery and +1 AS (shame they don't stack) I like the idea of the Blood shrine atm. Being able to push my medusa forwards without the 6 wound worry is good and means I can get her shooting attack into range more, plus the shrines own ability. having a 4+/5++ with the Cauldron means its pretty survivable, and the extra attacks on it makes it a good unit support if needed I tried blood stalkers, and they are ok I guess, but we have some much better options. They just need a tweek to either have 2 shots or something. Blood Sisters on the other hand are just my fav unit atm. 480 for 20 models. In a Hag Narr list they are so tanky and hitty. thats 3 attacks each, hitting on 3+ (with rerolls turn 3), wounding on 3+ (rerolling with witch brew), at Rend -1 (-2 with Mindrazor) for 1 damage (2 with MR if LD is higher, and since you keep it near the cauldron they are Bra 9) Plus the mortal wound attack. then they have 2 wounds each with 4+/5++ (near cauldron/general) Throw on Blessing of Khaine and Catachism, these ladies are just brutal 8 Inch move means they are fast too.
  18. I am about to try one with Bloodshrine and Haq queen cauldron so will let you know how i goes
  19. 30 Witch Aelves (300) and a hag Queen (90pts) Gives you the run/charge unit that can throw out a ton of attacks and immune to battleshock/Reroll wounds yes, you lose the DOK faction abilities (6+ Fnp and the stacking abilities) and faction prayers, but still a cheap high attack output unit
  20. Do we a rough eta on the winter FAQ's? Rumor was Slaanesf FAQ (nerf)
  21. Are you limited to these models? If yes, I would do a unit of 30 and a unit of 10. A lot of DOK infantry is cheaper at max size, so at 30 models you save 60pts. Doomfire warlocks are "meh". Their shooting attack is only 10 inches, and they are 160pts. Yeah, they can do a 6 mortal wound spell, but lose 1 model it goes down to D6.... I would rather run 2 x 5 and get two choices of DOK spell, as well as they need to kill 1 from each unit to lose the D6 - D3. I would always take mindrazor. it is the best spell we have, even if just for the Rend-1 So you could go: SQ: 100 HQ: 90 30 SOS: 300 10 SoS: 100 5 Warlocks: 160 5 warlocks: 160 Leaves you with 910pts so could get a unit of heartrenders Now, if you are not limited by models, I would drop the warlocks and the SQ on foot. Cauldron of blood is amazing for what it does, so could get that for your general and hag. The avatar on it helps your damage/rend, and gives you the bravery increase and armour save, great with the SOS shields Id then have a medusa with Shadow Stone. +1 to cast and reroll 1s is really useful to get mindrazor off. Her shooting attack is also pretty good also. Hag queen on Cauldron of Blood - 300 Blessing of khaine, General Blood Wrack Medusa - 140 Mindrazor, Shadow Stone 30 Sisters of Slaughter (Shields) - 300 10 Witch Aelves (Knives) - 120 This is a total of 860pts. for the last 140, you could take Some life takers of heart renders, both can be useful, and a command point or endless spell. Or whatever else you might desire to support your forces (maybe even 5 Blood sisters for combat power)
  22. It is the 6" pile in which is the big seller. With Slaanesh being so strong in the meta, 6" pile in means you ignore Locus (which procs when you charge) and get to control when they pile in and attack
  23. Totally. I played vs them last night with a list I had helped him write and I only won on VP's I got the double turn 1/2, but I failed all my casts and buffs which made me move into defensive positions rather than run in, as from experience unless you have rend you aint gonna hurt them 20 SOS and 10 WE charged 20 Mortek and did 1 wound. Just so so tanky.
