  1. Ohhhh I get you. I thought you were just hating stormcast for their very existence for a second.
  2. Yeah! Because it is silver. Everyone knows gold sucks because gold is stormcast, yeesh. Stormcast, amIrite guys?! Those silly geese.
  3. It's another stormcast chamber /soaks skin in the nutritious salty tears of those who already had enough with the last stormcast release
  4. I think it will be interesting to see how they handle it if they take non-compendium and absorb it into a new faction. I think this is easier if what we see released next is actually Battletome: Duardin. So they have dispossessed, steamhead, fyreslayers and MINERS (bring back miners!) They can all be together, they can be separate.
  5. I think it makes sense that they are going to take the best kits and include them in new AoS specific faction releases. It will be interesting to see how they handle taking from factions with a bit of lore and matched play profiles (as opposed to the releases where they took from legacy factions pre-matched play). There will certainly be a period of crossover. They might even leave it possible to play scrolls in one of two factions? Disposessed or steamhead, Light Aelves or Order Draconis/, Cthulhu Elfboys or Scourge Privateers etc. Previously: The ironjawz release did it for ardboyz (correct me if I'm wrong) The Bonesplittaz release did it (correct me if I'm wrong) Beastclaws took from Ogre Kingdoms (correct me if I'm wrong)
  6. Yeah I was thinking that the blood thirster ws spearing something therefore the 'targeting what' under the ship. But do they have spears? Maybe an axe up top instead. Makes more sense.
  7. Surely something can be drawn from this image...
  8. Greatest themed bunch of minis I've ever seen. The theme, the design, the colour choices. AoS28 lands with a bang with these. You should organise a warband of the year contest but you will win it.
  9. Gotta be. Throwback to WHQ of old. One of the coolest characters.
  10. A completely unfounded rumour started by crack pots! I thought you were smarter than that.
  11. and rotated... do you think they'd be so sneaky as to rotate it?
  12. The indentations above the metal plate, are they a recess to allow the middle to better stand out? As in the middle part is the begninning of an emblem shaped by recesses around it? A diffrent technique from raised emblem (like on a stormcast shoulder). So they'd be mimicked elsewhere on that surface in order to generate an icon or emblem. Otherwise I am finding those indents difficult to understand.
  13. I am going to go out on a guessing limb and suggest that Uglu/Ulgu will end up with a 'liquid shadow' feel. Octopus inky escapes, shadows akin to the ink dispersing in water. A swamp of shadows. Ties in with lovecraftian tentacly idea a bit.
  14. It could be a really cool aesthetic. Take it to the serpentine snake worshipping cult style. Quick google result is:
  15. You are not thinking big enough. The dwarves are getting a zeppelin fort the size of 3 archaons I tell ya.
  16. 5 points, no restrictions in the number of Slambos you can take.
  17. Slambo is cool! https://www.games-workshop.com/en-NZ/Slambo-Exalted-Hero Palladors and Aquilor up for preorder in NZ store
  18. Just before Silver Tower was announced I invested in an unpainted, unglued copy 2nd hand. Wasn't cheap! I had it when I was a kid, it was one of my intro games to GW. Maybe one day I'll paint it up for some classic play. That or sell it. It'll probably accrue value more than saving the money!
  19. You don't and never have needed minis in the box for Warhammer Quest once you have a core kit and a shelf of GW minis. I really like that they seem to be moving back to this design. Ofc until I read the books I will withhold a final judgement. I appreciate there are plenty people who liked the other box for all the cool new minis but the game itself and how you can drive your party forward into new adventures using the material from the two boxsets now out is more interesting. Basically the fans of WHQ want the material to play a kind an ongoing light-D&D campaign with their GW minis.
  20. It looks like an ornate and very thick (or its much smaller than you think) blade emerging from something. Blades usually emerge from whatever they go through. So that would be interesting to speculate on. A model being stabbed is rare. Unless it is a centerpiece. Or maybe it reflects it is stabbed but still alive? Maybe it is death.
  21. This sounds like a more fun and complete army on the board. I would hesitate a guess that the meta we saw emerge was the result of an incomplete army/range. I view them as a pretty rich faction right now, you could call them complete. Interestingly though, there could still be the sacrosanct, auxillary and ruination chambers to go... but that's now old info I think. Again maybe addressed in the tome itself. The vanguard (they not in the old stormhost composition breakdown) and extremis chambers (they were in that old stormhost composition breakdown) were substantial releases.
  22. Though now I think of it, they are both pointed in the GHB (as you note elsewhere) and they are originally from the Order GA book. Never were in the old tome. Still I am not sure how the new profiles are to be taken. I think you should consider this list a complete replacement of the SCE section in the GHB until GHB 2 (ie it's the GHB 1.5).
  23. Well I mean, that's much more understandable. I just hope the changes are pretty ace and even people who were dyed in the wool warrior brothers are pretty satisfied.
  24. I see part of where you are coming from and I think there should be no spell stacking or rule of 1 fudging for prayers. I think it should apply to prayers too. I am wondering though - does it not? Maybe I missed that. But I disagree that they don't make sense in the lore or on the board. And I think priests weren't fine when compared to mages, not really. Only fine in a vacuum (against no mage armies or other priests). All in all though, it's early days for their implementation.
