    Personally I love the background, it had the potential to be too Little Mermaid but the terror and desperation of having to flee the unrelenting light of their creator to the depths it could never pierce, the soul starvation and moral degradation their need to take souls must cause whilst never been “just cos we’re evil” is a rich starting point

    Idoneth are specifically a failed experiment, they fled rather than face the searing light and madness induced by Tyrion searching for what went wrong with their inception. Not having a lead god makes more sense with that background than having one

    One very nearly finished Lord Celestant (On foot and on Mount), got some fine detailing left to do for the models and then need to tidy up the individual base as I have sorted them out as a pair initially.

    More paint applied to my Lord Celestant model, the cape helps to break up the blue alot to my eye and gives him a greater definition, need to go back and start highlighting in the morning and then start on the weapon haft itself

    Next steps on my Lord Celestant model, a few touches of paint onto the armour and started blocking out base colours on the rest of the model. I'm aiming for an older wizened look for the face to represent centuries of torture in the prisons of Nagash. Cape and furs are up next when my Airbrush arrives! (Greenstuff mount point on back to attach shield)

    Many factions dont have god of demi god incarnations leading them, itg just means you'll get a new and interesting character specifically tailored for the faction produced ratherf than teclis.

    Highly unlikely. We have rumours of new death and possibly new storm cast tied to a new starter set but we likely won’t maintain 1 a month

    The dark elf black dragon suffers the same issue as most dragons in the range. It’s normal sized whilst stormcast are oversized and they then make the dragons look tiny. The Forgeworld magma dragon has the right bulk but would need the saddle/legs from the dracothians or mounted custodes in order to look right and would hit roughly 200 for the character in total

    I'm looking at using the Valdor model as the basis for my Ulric when I find the right way to "mount" him on something. I was thinking something along the lines of a Frost Wyrm but I cant find a suitable base model (gw only) to give that idea legs. The next idea is to combine the new Idoneth avatar model with the Valdor model to have him literally elevated on a cloak of frost an ice.

    Cheers, I've always loved the sheer number of conversion parts available in the 40K range. This is why I'm so fond of Stormcast, their cross compatibility with the Custodes and Space marines both from the GW and Forgeworld Ranges. I've managed to make a few edits to the model in order to raise him up slightly, and gap fill the joins in the larger base aswell as sorting his on foot basing too.

    I wouldn’t be surprised if the rumoured Starter Set of Stormcast vs Nighthaunt featured the Anvils as the stormcast chamber. They were specifically noted as being heavily reinforced by the jail break in malign portents so would make sense as a natural enemy to Nagashes soldiers rounding up escapees

And now I stand forgotten, but I do not stand alone... and soon my name shall ring out across the battlefields once more!”" Work has begun on my Lord Celestant for my Sentinels of Jotungard, the model is designed to be removable from the larger base for the onfoot version, or as shown assembled here as the mounted on dracoth version (I like the same character having continuity). Dubbed the Winter Wolf he is one of the souls liberated at the end of the Malign Portents campaign, the fluff will be fleshed out at a later date but for now he is simply one of the oldest Sentinels and rumoured to be a soul that predates the Age of Myth. One of the few older Sentinels that has resisted the change that has overwritten their basic forms he is nonethless both respected and feared within the chamber.

    Cheers, they will be expanded further once I get the Stormcast to roughly 1500 points (the counts as handgunners are a good backfield objective holder). Tomorrow I get to pickup the parts to start on my modular Lord Celestant both on and off dracoth conversion, and expensive piece but I'm confident it'll show the character of the force in a unique looking leader
