1. Thanks for your reply! Ok, I'll try to swap slaughterborn to fore pilgrim but keep the 3x5 skullreapers. I don't want to have both battalions as I don't really need more artefacts or CP, and I need extra bodies on the table. For the hidden text, it's obvious on a computer, but if you are on cell phone, you need to add
before the text and
after, without the spaces. 😉
2. Hello guys, I participated in 16 people tournament this weekend. Lists were varied, but with some really tough ones. I'm really glad I finished 6th with 2 wins, 1 lose, as it was my 2nd tournament ever, I mostly play for fun with a few friends. There goes my list : First game was Better part of Valor against an OBR with katakros, 2 catapults and a 40-mortek pack of doom. We only had 3 battlelines each, so it was about killing enemy lines first. I manage to burn objectives and score enough VP with my bloodwarriors before the catas were able to obliterate them. The daemon prince tried to interfere with them, but I didn't realize how resilient they are. But I guess he did a pretty good job distracting them and so protecting my BW for 2 shooting phases. I won the game because my skullreapers and priests managed to do enough MW to get rid of the mortek pack before my opponent could score. I didn't even try to hurt katakros. 2nd game was against a nurgle mixed demons/mortal army with 3 GUOs and bel'akor, on the total engagement scenario. First of all, I was very lucky with my judgments out all the time and a lot of MW from the priests. He failed a lot of castings because of my Anti-magic Shield System©, but still manage to kill most of my heroes with geminids and rotigus spell. In the end, I won with a muderlust BT trick in 4th turn that allowed the last remaining WM to escape Rotigus and steal the objective! Fun fact, the daemon prince killed bel'akor and then avoided 2 charges from GUOs thanks to bloods lock ground (he rolled 3 and 4 on 3" charges 😂) Last game (the one I lost) was against a very good tzeench player, playing a duplicitous army with 40 pinks and a Duke on places of arcane power. This one was very hard, he used a lot of movement control tricks and locked down a big chunk of my army for the first 2 turns. I guess he didn't realize khorne can have such a damage output that I removed all the pinks very fast and I stole 2 of the 3 objectives by turn 2. In the end, we didn't have time to finish the game but the blues still on the table were killing my heroes and my prince didn't manage to kill his duke. So even if i gave a good fight, the game was lost. So thinking about all this, my first feedback was that 3x5 Skullreapers is amazing and a real threat against most units. But you kind of fall short against big single model. The daemon prince with "whipped to fury" and "bronzed flesh" is an amazing hunter but if he doesn't manage to kill his target quickly enough, he can be overwhelmed fast. I don't know if crimson crown was a good choice as i fought 3 very defensive armies, and i think khorne mortal is probably one of the most aggressive army in the game. Maybe i'd have another point of view if i'd played BCR or ID. So i think i'll try him again with a more aggressive artefact or the torc. Slaughterborn was good against OBR, but useless against Tzeench or Nurgle as they don't have rend. But i still have the feeling that in can be really usefull in a lot of match-ups. I think i'll play this list again as it was really fun and i had the outsider effect against 2 top tier armies. Anyway the whole day was great, and my adversaries were all really nice people with beautifully painted armies and great lists. What advices could you give me ? Looking forward for next tournament !
3. Thanks @ogarrah and @ChaosUndivided for your help. I think I'll modify my lists with your suggestions, and next step is to give you guys a feedback after a practice game or two.
4. Hello guys, I'll participate someday soon in a 5 games tournament, and i'm planning my list based on a Bloodbound/Mortal army. I really like Skullreapers as i find them very efficient, but i only have 10 of them. I've thought of 2 different lists, i have a lot of khorne minis, but i'm lacking on daemons (i have 30 unpainted bloodletters, a skarbrand, 20 flesh hounds, and a bloodthirster still on sprue). The tournament will take place at the end of november, so i still have time to build and paint stuff. Here are the 2 lists i've written for the time, i'm open to suggestions and replacements. Allegiance: Khorne - Slaughterhost: The Goretide LEADERS Slaves to Darkness Daemon Prince (210) - General - Command Trait : Hew the Foe - Sword - Artefact : Thronebreaker's Torc Bloodsecrator (120) - Artefact : The Brazen Rune Slaughterpriest (100) - Blood Blessing : Bronzed Flesh Slaughterpriest (100) - Blood Blessing : Killing Frenzy Exalted Deathbringer with Impaling Spear (80) - Artefact : The Blood-forged Armour UNITS 5 x Skullreapers (180) - Goreslick Blades 5 x Skullreapers (180) - Goreslick Blades 10 x Bloodreavers (70) - Meatripper Axes 5 x Blood Warriors (100) - Goreaxe & Gorefist 10 x Blood Warriors (200) - Goreaxe & Gorefist - 1 x Goreglaives 5 x Wrathmongers (140) 5 x Flesh Hounds (100) BATTALIONS Gore Pilgrims (140) Slaughterborn (170) ENDLESS SPELLS / TERRAIN / COMMAND POINTS Hexgorger Skulls (40) Wrath-Axe (60) TOTAL: 1990/2000 WOUNDS: 125 LEADERS: 5/6 BATTLELINES: 4 (3+) BEHEMOTHS: 0/4 ARTILLERY: 0/4 ARTEFACTS: 3/3 ENDLESS SPELLS: 0/3 ALLIES: 0/400 Not sure about the 2 battalions, i've got the feeling that it's a lot of investment on 3 units (2x5 SR, 10 BW), but that would make the spine of my army more resilient. Allegiance: Khorne - Slaughterhost: The Goretide LEADERS Slaves to Darkness Daemon Prince (210) - General - Sword Bloodsecrator (120) Slaughterpriest (100) Slaughterpriest (100) UNITS 5 x Skullreapers (180) - Goreslick Blades 5 x Skullreapers (180) - Goreslick Blades 10 x Blood Warriors (200) - Goreaxes 10 x Blood Warriors (200) - Goreaxes 10 x Bloodreavers (70) - Reaver Blades 5 x Wrathmongers (140) 5 x Chaos Knights (160) - Cursed Lance 5 x Chaos Knights (160) - Cursed Lance BATTALIONS Gore Pilgrims (140) ENDLESS SPELLS / TERRAIN / COMMAND POINTS Hexgorger Skulls (40) TOTAL: 2000/2000 WOUNDS: 150 LEADERS: 4/6 BATTLELINES: 3 (3+) BEHEMOTHS: 0/4 ARTILLERY: 0/4 ARTEFACTS: 0/2 ENDLESS SPELLS: 0/3 ALLIES: 0/400 Maybe swap Knights for Skullcrushers ? I don't know. Any advise ? Thanks for your help
5. Ok, so now FAQs are out, still nothing for BoK. There's this weird printed chart in the GHb with stars in front of entries with no point changes compared to the last FAQ. Everybody else had point change, but not BoK ? My question is : do any of you think that this could be a misprint ? Maybe the "everything was in the perfect state" explanation should suffice, but i have doubts... What do you think about this ? Edit : btw there can be an Errata/Designers comments for the GHB this week
6. This thing is amazing ! Probably one of the best tools for AoS players ! Just one thing i noticed for Khorne Skullreapers - Frenzied Attacks You can re-roll hit rolls of 1 for models armed with Gore-slick Blades or Daemonblades. That rule doesn't exist anymore, it's been replaced by Trial of Skulls that is showing properly. Many thanks !
7. Maybe i'm wrong, and i know some people talk about it from time to time here, but i've a strong feeling we might see the Pirate Vampires from TW:W2 in AoS at soem point. This army didn't exist in WFB, and they developped a whole concept under GW PI. So it must be coming from somewhere. And it could fit the AoS lore, and they have some very cool models (like the huge construct). W&S
8. That's really nice indeed ! Do you remember the brand/model of the bag ? Thanks !
9. I have an A-Case that i use with my magnetized models, but i need something bigger to transport more models. I was thinking of those documents boxes. So please could you show me your set-up ?
10. Salut ! Je joue pour l'instant uniquement du Khorne à P12, quand le travail et les gosses m'en laissent le temps !
11. https://www.warhammer-community.com/2019/03/15/sam-wrathmonger-pearsons-blades-of-khorne-tacticsgw-homepage-post-4/ Bloodsecrator still give +1 Atk but to units wholy within 16" and can move Blood warriors have MW on save rolls of unmodified 6 Wrathmongers give +1 Atk to khorne units WW 8" The sub allegiance abilities look really nice Not a lot of change on the blood tithe table
12. We already know there's a Death Guard one that doesn't appear on this picture.
13. I find it funny that those flesh hounds seem to be released on oval bases, but they officialized 50mm round bases for them like 2 months ago. I'm glad I didn't base mine on 50 yet, but some people will be pissed off.
14. Ah ! Thanks mate for this clarification! I guess I had my all-this-aos2-is-******-anyway goggles on when I read this... A little hope starts to rise in me !
15. Actually, if you spend 200pts on a gore pilgrim, you 'll get 4 CP. And as it wasn't stated otherwise, you can spend a bunch of them on the ADB ability and throw a whole bucket of dices. Q: In a Pitched Battle, I receive 1 extra command point for every 50 points I don’t spend on units. Do points spent on warscroll battalions, endless spells and terrain features count as points spent on units for the purposes of this rule? A: Yes. I know it sounds a bit stupid and overpowered, but the more I read those faq, khorne changes and rules, the more I have the feeling that it was done by some interns who didn't care and not corrected - or even checked twice - by anyone. Did they really play tested this? They obviously don't care, so why would we...
16. Also I didn't see anywhere a change to the command ability of the aspiring deathbringer with gore hammer. So we can just spam his ability as many times as we have command points and have +x atk on 6" units? It's weird because I had the feeling this was the kind of ability they would change with this faq. Maybe I just missed it?
17. They also changed skarbrand to the big oval base, but he's sold with a big round one... What a pleasure to destroy this huge basing I've done to have him correctly based.
18. If Karanak is in contact with the quarry, you can't summon. He is on a 2" base, so within 8" and 9" away from the enemy, you don't have enough space to fit wholy some 2" based Flesh Hounds. Anyway, what i meant is this abiilty will be very situationnal, and you'll probably not be summoning a lot of dogs.
19. I've just read again the rules for Karanak, and something came to my attention regarding the "call of the hunt" rule. We are supposed to have Karanak within 8" of a chosen enemy HERO to summon 5 Flesh Hounds. But at the same time, the Flesh Hounds must be set wholy within 8" of Karanak and more than 9" from any enemy. For me, that means that, even if this HERO is isolated, the rule won't work if Karanak is at close range of this enemy, as my Flesh Hounds are on 2" bases. And in most case, as the HERO won't be on his own, you will only be able to summon the dog if you stay close but far enough. Am I reading this wrong or is it the way it's written ?
20. I don't get why they don't write down allegiances on the results sheet like they did before. Why this new trend ? It was the same at Adepticon...
21. Same here, I used it with this artefact to hunt down big stuff against a friend's sylvaneth army. Worked wonderfully, treelord ancient was dead in one round, and thanks to the area effect, killed some stuff around it. But I agree it was circonstencial, and BTW it was killed a bit later by kurnouts with blades. But for the look on my friend's face when he realized 500 pts had just vanished like that, it was totally worth it!
22. From the warhammer community, there's a link to a teasing website for Malign Portents : https://malignportents.com/
