  1. Yes 😀 Dont forget he has the locus of fury ability to reroll 1s
  2. The prince is fantastic for 160 points; his drawback is save and 8 wounds on a behemoth. So you need to time and position him right. My prince has been MVP a number of times, in the last few games he has one shotted a black coach, manfred and a zombie dragon in consecutive turns. Some of the new daemon buffs and use of the tithe table make him even better. His lack of command ability is actually no bad thing, if he goes down then it won’t affect the performance of the rest of the army.
  3. The prince is a ‘hidden’ gem in the army. He is especially good with blade of judgement and sent as a hero/behemoth hunter. As it’s still an exploding 6 for the D6 MW it can go off on a 4 plus reroll 1 for the locus. If he swings first then what ever he attacks is deleted. Plus at 160 pts I am not too worried if he dies, unlike a thirster Another option is jadewound thorn which a MW on a 6+ in addition to damage, which with +1 damage is pretty nasty esp vs hordes.
  4. And another one - episode 14 (ish) the rematch. Some hobby goodness to listen to while I paint my stuff
  5. Going to listen to the new episode while I hobby tonight - woo hoo
  6. So I am considering where and how to evolve my previous list and would appreciate some advice. Any thoughts on where to take this lot? My current list is Daemon Prince, genera, blade of judgement, immense power 3 priests Blood secrator Blood stoker 4x10 reavers 2x10 warriors 5 skull reapers Warshrine Khorgorath Gorepilgrims I also own WoK BT 10 bloodletters Herald Skull cannon 3 skull crushers, one of whom doubles as Lord of khorne on juggernaut mighty lord of khorne Aspiring death bringer Exalted deathbringer Exalted deathbringer w spear Siull grinder 2 gorebeast chariots 2 more khorgoraths Skarr Valkia 5 wrath mongers Skull alter Judgements I tend to play as a tight unit with the enemy breaking itself on me, as small units and summoned daemons grab objectives while the priests buff the heck out of everyone. Obviously somethings need to change. I don’t play tournaments but have a fairly competitive club and I do like an army that won’t fold/will give a good fight even if I lose. I like interesting painting projects. I am keen to explore some new battalions and models So what next? Give me some thoughts to evolve the list The bare minimum is to use the list above plus axe and alter. My gut is telling me 5 skull reapers and a rejig to get the wrath-cannon combo. I also feel my daemons are lacking for summons - May 10 letters and 5-10 hounds? What would you change and why?
  7. I like it, it’s got me thinking who else would make a good recipient of it.
  8. Not for blade of judgement. It’s an exploding 6 still 😀
  9. Daemon prince of khorne is a fantastic unit. He can fly and has lovus to reroll hits of 1 plus he has an innate +1 to hit. The obvious combo for him is blade of judgement (D6 MW on a 6+ v hero and behemoth) and immense power (+1 attack). Add a cheeky killing frenzy and those D6 MW are firing off on a 4. Normal hits on 2 and reroll 1. All for 160 points
  10. I just checked uk site. It’s still listed under creatures of chaos with rules for AoS. Although there is a second entry in 40k without AoS rules
  11. Got to say after taking some time to read and think how I like to play that there are some fun combos to explore. While I am not sure I like keeping the priests tied to the alter, I do like that I can explore other battalions and units, especially skull reapers and khorgoraths which I really like. I think I accepted some time back my list would have to change and now I am looking forward to exploring what the book will let me do.
  12. So not sure if rumour or not, but page 16 of the new khorne tome mentions ‘the flux-cairns of Tzeentchian arcanites’ in the same sentence as ancient glades of the sylvaneth. This is in a section discussing the fluff of endless spells and scenery. If I had to guess I would say flux cairns are the name of the Tzeentch scenery.
  13. Lord on demonic mount has locus as he has the daemon key word, plus all the benefits of being mortal - he gets all the buffs 🥳
  14. So here’s a question, many of us use Slave or other non-khorne chaos units. Are there any potential winners or new combos to explore with the new book? Three I can think of are 1 Warshrine gets reroll prayers near the alter 2 Daemon prince has the locus of fury reroll 1s 3 soulgrinder gets +1 range attack near wrath mongers, plus locus with a hero nearby I am sure there are more though
  15. After seeing a couple of reviews I am feeling pretty positive. my Daemon prince w blade of judgement is going to like this edition, 6 attacks, reroll 1s, exploding 6 D6 MW still for the bargain price of 160 pts and no need for gorepilgrims to make the blessing s go off. ( depending on changes to killing frenzy) Warshrine is going to love the terrain piece Able to explore new battalions outside pilgrims Some new combos to explore with the heros - Valkia and Skarr become interesting now.
  16. It also reduces the flexibility of priests as they will be tied to it as opposed to the option of moving them. Plus no blood secrator buff. For both those reasons I think pilgrims will still be a thing - whether it is worth it is another question though as the alters presence clearly makes other battalions worth it.
  17. I am liking the skulls, but the other two seem a bit unreliable especially the axe on a 5 even with a reroll. Terrain piece is nice but I really hope it is not the end of gorepilgrims as it’s not as flexible as the battalion. Interesting it says khorne priests - hello warshrine. I am interested in what is happening with summoning and blood blessings
  18. Well done, it’s a great achievement and you are not the only one who had to wait 20 years to actually do it. I came back to GW after a 25 year hiatus after my nephew got into Sigmar About 3 years or so ago. I just loved the khorne models when I saw them and had to get that army. I painted about an hour a night about 5 times a week and ended up with ~4K of khorne ( lots of leaders) mortals and daemons. Took about 2 years and I’ll add to it with the new release. I have also been working on a deepkin army which is at 1300 points with the rest soon to be added. Through just a few hours week (mainly 9-10 in the eve post kids bedtimes), In the past 3 years I have painted up 4K khorne 1300 deepkin Hammerhal Spacehulk Gorechosen Working on rogue trader 2k seraphon with my son Would love to see some pics of your army
  19. I am excited by the release, although not the mountain of grey that I have and will add too 😀 I was not expecting hounds and Karanak so soon, which is a bonus. Plus cards I will be able to read! Amazing, glad they found the landscape button. I am interested in the terrain piece, I noted in the description it said reroll prayers and judgements ie not blood blessings. I wonder if this is the name of the new endless prayers. EDIT just noted the new prayers are called blood blessings, so maybe judgements are the current blessings. I also saw on the tokens one which said Murderous Paragon. I don’t have my current tome to hand, but is that new?
  20. The second one - start collecting bloodbound is the multipart blood warriors. You get all the same parts as the box set ie double axes and gorefists The goreblade is the easy build variety.
