    Chuck, followup question.

There is currently some debate (it boils down to RAW v RAI and some keyword weirdness) whether or not the Harbingers (Lord Ordinator, Fungoid Shaman, etc) released with Malign Portents can be used in any army (so long as they share a Grand Alliance) as General without the army losing allegiance abilities. For instance, a Kharadron Overlords army using Barak-Nar rules but having a Lord Ordinator as general. There is also confusion as to whether this would use reinforcement points.

Will NOVA be clarifying this for the purposes of the GT, or relying on GW to fix it?

Edit: I'm aware this was addressed in the FAQ, but that actually didn't do much to clear up the RAW vs RAI confusion.

For in-depth rules questions like this, you need to email customerservice@novaopen.com .  While it ultimately makes its way to me and the AoS Leads to answer it keeps it all official and in one place, but definitely send the question in!

I'm so upset that I can't make it this year to NOVA :( . The past two years have been a blast and I've had such a great time at the AoS tournaments (doubles and GT), and it looks like this one is shaping up to be amazing as well!

I guess it just means that I have more time to build up the forces of Garruk the Stormlord, and hopefully I can make it out for 2019!

(PS - It was a pleasure playing you in the doubles Chuck! )

It was a pleasure indeed.  Sad you will not be there this year :(

  3. Hey! It is Chuck.  to answer your questions...

    1) I plan to get working on them directly after Adepticon so estimated time is another month or two (don't hold me to it too much as life can always surprise us).

    2) I am unsure of their plans as of yet, but once myself and the NOVA team finds out I will be passing it along as I am able to do so.

Look forward to seeing you all there!

  4. I've never really been interested in those types of cases although I know of a few out there that look promising such as Tablewar.  I have never had an issue with foam so perhaps it's an old habit that won't die, but at the event, the army is typically moved from table to table on their display boards.  That and I have only found Taylor Swift Patches I like and haven't found any good stickers to put on one of those tower cases ;)

What was discussed with Pete Foley about the US AOS scene?  I'm curious.

It was a follow up from an original meeting at Adepticon and what that group has been doing with the mindset of growing the U.S. AoS Community and what we as a community can do for ourselves and what GW can do to help us as well.  The group is currently working on a few projects toward this goal.  As time goes on myself and others of the group (about 23 or so of us) can go into greater detail, but you won't have all that much longer to wait to hear more.  It was very positive on both sides and we are hoping it will take our Community and Hobby to even greater levels.

    Lots of goodies, nice.

I love to listen to certain shows on Netflix while I hobby.  It doesn't work with all shows.  My TV is setup out of LoS from my hobby station so I can only hear it with an occassional look.  So far the shows I have found work very well with Audio only are - Breaking Bad and West Wing.

Another great piece of music to hobby to IMHO is the Mad Max soundtrack from the most recent movie.

Is there a time when Mad Max isn't appropriate?

Great write up but please add CanHammer to your podcast list, essential listening for 40k and AOS. One of the best IMO.

I really want to try a live group chat whilst hobby'ing!

I most certainly will do.  Canhammer has fallen off my list over the past year, but I will be sure to add it back!
