  1. you know what.. I'm really buzzing about what I've just read. And you know what.. I hope that as a warriors of chaos player that the only thing I really really really want is a khorne army where the mark of khorne just doesn't give me the only god mark that you can lose if you lose combat. If they give me 3rd edition chaos back I'll be a very happy boy... either way... my chaos dwarfs are back in the game .. oh yea..😎
  2. on the plus side imagine if the similarity was such that you could play Aos vs 40k. We used to do it back in 1st ed 40k : rogue trader days vs warhammer fantasy. Messy, very messy, but so much fun.
  3. chaos dwarf punching dagger. Held up above his head obviously.
  4. from a commercial viewpoint that makes sense. They've got the money now to pour into proper plastic production in house, so especially with HH, the opportunities for retiring tired old spin moulds and replacing them with high volume plastic would pay off for them. Maybe not for everything but certainly for marines etc. Look what Betrayal at calth and Burning of prospero did for HH, as people could buy one or two boxes and get literally the equivalent of grands' worth of marines on the table vs paying out for resin.
  5. he is. I think there may be a new character for each and that's it. I don't want Grey Knights to go primaris, but scaling them to the primaris size as they are in the fluff would be amazeballs. They're taller than normal astartes and nearly as tall as Custodians, so a full range makeover to make them fall in line with that would be all of the epic. And it's not like there's a huge range of models to overhaul either, characters aside, all they got is a strike squad and terminator box and the dreadknight. However all that said, I bet he's no taller than voldus.
  6. This If this person is linked to GW in an official capacity then a quite frankly I’d be sending the hr department at GW a heads up. They’ll take a dim view of a view like that from someone who is representing their brand. not cool.
  7. Easy. chaos dwarf daemon infused grenade in The shape of a warhammer chicken. they’ve got them in a big long stick so that they can stand their ground at oncoming gribbly charges and they detonate on impact.
  8. Chaos dwarf hellcannon stoker team. you heard it here first.
  9. Ok, so this them suggests that its different for every faction- ish , as the quote above was from the blades of khorne errata. Interesting. “A Blades of Khorne army can include coalition units (see below) as follows: - 2 in every 4 units in the army can be a coalition unit from the Slaves to Darkness faction that has the Mark of Chaos keyword. Those units must be given the Khorne Mark of Chaos keyword. - 1 in every 4 units in the army can be a coalition unit from the Beasts of Chaos faction. Those units gain the Khorne keyword. A Blades of Khorne army cannot include coalition units with the Slaanesh, Tzeentch or Wizard keyword.“
  10. Well technically speaking it was the four of them who brought him back, but you know what they’re like, they’ll just let him get on with it … old Blackbone Settra leuencoeur the immortal imperishable himself.
  11. COALITION UNITS Coalition units are ignored when determining if the units in the army are from a single faction. Coalition units cannot be generals. Designer’s Note: Coalition units are not allied units, so the limitations that apply to allied units do not apply to them. This means that coalition units can be given one of your army’s enhancements, as long as they have the correct keywords or are of the correct unit type needed to receive it.’ so coalitions cant run your army but can benefit from its buffs put simply, as they get the keyword for the army. so i can take a unit of bullgors in my blades of khorne and they get the khorne keyword, but that doombull can’t be my general- he has to come native from my battletome.
  12. Nope. Chaos brets and tomb king soup, chaos bretkings. you heard it here first.
  13. See now I really like the Annihilators, they're my kind of stormcast. I'm not really understanding why this strain of greenskins can't have full size limbs instead of chimpanzee legs though, and as for the cover of the stormcast book... those chaos dwarfs are a bit thin aren't they?
  14. I'd have no issue with it really after all, I try not to pidgeon hole any of my models with colourschemes etc for that reason.. Admittedly, I think it's more driven towards models than colour schemes. You know, proxying a high elf dragon with chaos knight on in and saying " er yea... khorne dragon and dude" rather than you can't play that stormhost because red armour instead of black. In that instance I'd understand a player losing his rag, as lets face it, the model has insane rules and part of the privelege of those insane rules is the 400 bones for the model, and as a result you don't see one on every table in every list. It's always going to be a moot point of debate and a very fractious argument, as on one extreme you can accuse a player of being cheap, and on the other you can be a real ballbreaker and say that the awesome conversion doesn't count as it's not the proper model. A beautifully converted or kitbashed daemon prince for instance is a lovely thing vs the regular model which is a bit naff. However, one guy with a lord of skulls trying to proxy it as a hellcannon just wasn't on, and that one actually came up in the next Throne of Skulls rules pack! At proper GW events I've found that the rules team and likes of Ben johnson et al have let a great conversion and an army that's had some real love poured into it just roll, as everyone can see that a lot of work has gone into it and that it's a thing of beauty. However I've also seen them tell people to go to the shop and buy the right models or call it a day - a guy with a daemon army which was effectively greenstuff / milliput worms painted in different colours was a prime example. Dude was arguing that it was an aquatic themed daemon army. he was politely told that if he had some actual daemons in there - in fact some actual GW models, it would be quite helpful. I look at that rule and say it's a mutual acceptance thing. If you're both happy or the TO is happy then so be it. I wouldn't read too much into it, and in the past at WHW I've happily walked away from a table when the opponent started to pick holes in say my chaos warriors because they had halberds and a shield for instance, telling them to have the win. Life's too short for that sort of stuff, and it he was going to be that picky about it then the game isn't going to be fun - and it's all about fun. I have to say, the burger and the drink was lots of fun until my next matchup however.
  15. I notice that they've tightened up faction keywords a lot more. So for instance a blades or maggotkin etc army will be led by a character from that book, as opposed say to a chaos lord on manticore with the khorne keyword. have other armies had the same belt tightening? I'm thinking things like cities etc. that run different factions under one banner.
  16. aye. You had the gammon tactic of masses of skyfires shooting, piling in, attacking and then whilst in combat shooting the unit behind the one they were attacking or something like that. Either way, there was a rule on their warscroll which just made them one of those armies that at a tournament you just shook the guys hand, told him to take the win and go get yourself a burger and a drink and save yourself the pain of watching the shenanigans play out with you standing there like a spare tool.
  17. I was.. now I'm really angry I'm in a right CRIMSON HAZE, and nearly WHIPPED TO FURY so I am!
  18. you lot are all being defeatist whiners and I don't believe a word of it. I've read the faction focus articles and everyone is a winner - the article says so. Today is Khorne, and it's only right that it's the last one as it's made us all angry at being the last one. I predict we will have a shout out for all out attack, all out defence and unleash hell. Our thirsters can bawl and shout and exercise stompyness with extra "ness". See.. winning. There will be absolutely no downsides at all ever whatsoever as this is the best edition yet - so bestest-est that in two weeks time you'll be wondering what all the fuss was about. Now stop your whining and keep buying, come one, new edition, new army and all that. Just remember... all out attack, all out defence, unleash hell... repeat after me now... Keep rolling, keep spending and carry on. 👍
  19. Can I interest sir in a Daemon flask of Ashak from the original Tamurkhan book? or failing that, would sir prefer the blood of Hashut from the old legion warscroll?
  20. Chaos Dwarf castellan with daemonic grenage whip and fyre daemon jars.
  21. Khorne Dragon.. What do we reckon? Points increase or points decrease? Staying or going going squat? Forgeworld releasing a separate points sheet for their AoS stuff in general, or is it going legends like everything else they seem to be throwing out? IN fact are they just thinning down everything AoS so that the tab can disappear from their website? what say you lot?
  22. well, you're one up on me as I only got into it in 1st edition. Anyway.. I'll leave you to it. I've got a thirster to stare at.
  23. of old the diametric opposition was Khorne and slannesh / Tzeentch and nurgle. Khorne was about killing as much and as quickly as possible, rage and hate, whereas the dark prince was all about prolonging the suffering, hedonism and pleasure Tzeentch was about rebirth through mutation and change, whereas nurgle was abour rebirth through decay and pestilence. In their own ways, each of the opposing gods were diametrically opposed cheeks off the same backside so to speak.
