Yeah. I think that at some point in the future we will either see a storyline focusing on war between Archaon vs Chaos god(s) or that one of the gods will be weakend in a way and Archaon will take his place (or be the 6th Chaos god). It's either that or pushing him back from the story as carrying on the pattern "and he invaded the mortal realms ones again..." is too boring.

Not worth it. If those minis were selling good GW would never remove them. That's why they are being removed OR REPLACED (we don't know that yet) by fresh versions matching new direction of certain army. I's not the end of the word if Glade Guard will be replaced by Kurnothi archers. Same goes for Light and Shadow Aelves and maybe every other army that is suffering from unit removal. What I'm loving is not making people uncertain of their collections or leaving them behind. I'm loving that GW is not lazy with introducing old armies the new way. In my opinion they were with DoK where there was 50% old minis vs 50% new. This time around I expect that Wanderers, Light and Shadow Aelves will be more like 20% old vs 80% new. Making those armies fresh, up to date. However GW should have given far more time for people who wanted to comlete their collections with current minis. Like 6 months of time.

They are not making normal Orruks the same reason you don't see peasant minis for Stormcasts. They are no longer attractive for this setup. That's the direction AoS took. Every AoS army needs a strong theme and unique units. At least that's what we are observing.

That's a lie. Quote the excact sentence I speak about losing collections and rules.

My intention is not to make any of you angry. I'm sure most of said armies have a future. Whether only with new rules or a complete rework. People can't expect that a company will produce the very same products forever. It's natural that you fade out oldones to introduce new products. GW had poor communication on this, true. It's like being upset that you can no longer buy PlayStation 2 when there is PS4 now. It's natural to think that Sony will stop producing PS3 and that you will see fewer gamesbeing released on PS4 when they introduce PS5.

These armies will get new rules in the upcomming CoS battletome and can be updated in the future. That's a compromise.

I'm now making some enemies here but got to be honest - I LOVE that last move of GW. Seriously. I know some of you feel let down but on the other hand, how long have those minis been available to buy? 10 years? It's no surprise that products disappear and are replaced by newer ones. You had lot of time to have joy with those minis. Some factions might be abandoned which might make you sad or angry. If I were to guess - Free Peoples and Dispossessed. Some will be reimagined or updated which imho is great. I'm thinking all the elves. Your minis had their time and still can give joy. As your collection and in games. Maybe only tournaments will be a no go. Maybe you will actually like where GW is taking your army.

One thing bothers me. Because Kurnothi are in a box to start 3 season... I mean they wouldn't throw one-time "brand" into a box that is supposed to sell well. At least better than solo warband boxes. That's why they had put Stormcasts in every bigger box (thankfully they stopped lately). On the other hand I wonder if they don't target the same group that already owns Sylvaneth which was updated just now. Maybe if Kurnothi will be shooting army. I don't mind similarities and will happily own both Sylvaneth and Kurnothi.

Yes and no, depending on the person. I was on the fence with DoK. I bought the battleforce box because I really liked new models. Two months later I sold that box when I realised I really don't want to paint loads of witch elves which I don't like and they usually are backbone of DoK armies. Same can happen to me with other mixes of old and new. And I can already tell you I don't want old Wanderers minis (mostly). That's even stronger for High Elves.

Kurnothi are all AoS is about. They bring tradition onto new level. No more generic dwarfs - Fyreslayers and Kharadrons. No more traditional wood elves - Kurnothi. Making them more feral and beast-like is far more interesting. Would love to have a whole army of them.

Ok, enough wondering. I'm getting that box. ☺️

Kurnothi are really cool and I would like to get a full army of them. My first impression was also "Fyreslayers hairstyle" aelves. I will defenitely choose a different color for them if they get a full release or if I buy Beastgrave.

I will probably buy it. There are two reasons for that. 1. NO STORMCASTS in the box 2. NEW FACTION in the box

My friend has an army of them. He doesn't play them anymore. I understand your point. He is waiting for a battletome. I'm pretty sure one day you will get that.

I can't accept a situation where every faction since some time gets its terrain and spells and two next factions don't without a reason. I believe that we are yet to see previews of those after WarCry.

GW doesn't hurry with previews of two new battletomes...

I've just checked old tomb kings models and to be honest if they were AoS they'd still be one of the best designed and looking armies. Only basic troops skeletons and cavalery look old and I would like them to be replaced. Necrosphinx is just epic. Other units like tomb guard or those snakes are awesome.

I really don't get this "keep low your expectations attitude". It's not our job to adjust our expectations to GW products. It's GW's job to deliver products suitable to OUR expectations. That's how a company should work if it wants to sell its goods. It's not about overreacting and shitsto.rming but one might be dissatisfied with X release. After such great releases like Kharadron Overlords, Nighthaunt, Idoneth Deepkin (and MANY more!) I won't pretend I'm cool with 1 new model for Deathrattle and a battletome or past 2019 releases like updated Fyreslayers. I simply skip those armies and buy those that required some effort. It has nothing to do with hate or negative emotions. As a customer I want to be appreciated and feel that these minis are worth my money.

Whether it's Undead Chinese, Undead Pirates or Undead African Shamans I take it. But please don‘t be generic skeletons with pikes and shields. Skeletons Pirates? I buy 2k points day one.

Sepulchar Guard is great. Skelletons are just old. Old, generic, boring.

My whole hype for Deathrattle (and it was huge) is now gone. Old models are like from ancient times, different game for me. Can't accept them keeping in mind they will be backbone of that army.

Comparing Shadespire warband to old skelletons... It probably will be decisive factor whether or not I buy "new" Deathrattle. Don't be lazy GW. New Skelletons are a must.

It's hard to tell where is the limit. They can always hire more people to write and balance rules. That's not expensive for a stock market company. Less popular armies can have updates in GHB like they do now.
