  1. While the Ork line has and is great, it could definitely use an upgrade to most of it.
  2. @Rob Hawkins This is the pitch profile from instructions. It the same as nightmare lantern And here's the warscroll for reference to anyone. This model really needs to end up in the Start Collecting eventually. Edit: also, which weapon are people building? Haven't decided yet.
  3. Throgg is a ridiculously great sculpt!!! The anatomy is spot on, imo, for some warhammer troggoth. I really, REALLY hope future troggoth designs take inspiration and reflect that wonderful piece. The fellwaters have some nice aspects but are just way too corny for me and hope they stray away from those.
  4. I'd like to see an alternate Knight of Shrouds with a different weapons loudout and skill. Sword and board or polearm perhaps. Two handed chain mace even. Edit: maybe a mounted Guardian of Souls. Editx2: what if its an updated Foot Vampire Lord to showcase where they're heading, design wise, in the future. O_O
  5. I'd personally like to see Ironjawz just stay the semi elite army they are. Let the Grots have the horde title. Be patient. Their update will come. Probably sooner than later. They are pretty much the destruction posterboys. We'll get some new toys and tools. Im predicting we'll see some warmachines, some kind of scout/ranger/ranged type unit, and some Gore grunta heros. I firmly believe that if we got some upgrade sprues for brutes with some new weapon options that would go a lonnnng way. Id love to see a Troggoth unit added to us as well as it seems Moonclan are getting one. Then if a soup tome drops later on for a unified way to play all, thats cool too! I know there's others that feel the same and GW continuously give hints that IJ are not typical "hulk smash" orruks and are actually pretty cunning, but I have always viewed them as heavily influenced by Urruk Hai from LotR.
  6. @Tropical Ghost General Guess I'm overthinking it then. Heh. So if you have a unit of 2 and 1 chain is in range of 6 models and the other 4 (lets say two of those are in range of both) you'd make 1 roll of 10 attacks? Yeah?
  7. Anyone have any "in the field input" on using mass chainghast? I'm looking to field 3 x 4 units? Also, their melee is a bit confusing to me. I understand that you get an attack per each model in range but with a large unit I think this would become tricky. Would you attack with each model one at a time as they would undoubtedly overlap attacks and become confusing as to which model got their attacks off? Maybe im overthinking them. I think they seem great but they're packaged very strangely. I can't see many consumers buying multiples at that price and accumulating that many extra Guardians... ?
  8. @Rock Lobster I felt this same way as soon I read the community preview... It'll be interesting to see how Ironjawz expand in the future.
  9. Heh. Me too but it'll be awhile before I had it ready. I'm converting a zombie dragon into a Mourngul and I'm really happy with it so far and that's what made me think of such a list. @Neck-Romantic And with the chains being -2 to hit, those few hits that do go through should defininatly count.
  10. @Neck-Romantic I'd imagine it would all revolve around keeping those mourns healed and even though chainsghasts aren't the greatest i think they could do enough back up support.

  12. So that shroomggoth shown that said it was part of that warband is not actually part of it at all?... O_o Hmmm, time will tell.

  14. A few reasonable changes I'd love: Megaboss. hand weapon -2 rend (its a MEGABOSS. Have you seen that thing? Its a horrendous weapon! There's more plastic there than in some other factions heros! ?) Shaman. 2 spells (maybe 2 spells per 10 models or something. Perhaps a bonus to spell #s per round to reflect the waaagh energy growing.) Brutes. Bravery 7 Gruntas. Some kind of reason for each weapon type. Be it rend on charge, additional attack, or 3"range or something. Just a couple reasonable changes i think. At least until new tools drop.
  15. I'd personally use the Fyreslayers lizard instead for the body. I think it echos the existing thunderscorn design a little better.
  16. @Tropical Ghost General Great post! On point, I believe. I'm converting up some Hexwraiths now to bring them more in line with current look and i know they're not the greatest but why do you think they're bad? I keep looking at Harridans and think they may be overly overlooked. I'd like to get some play in with them. Also I was thinking about underworlding most of my heros. Keeps them safe and pop them up where they're going to bring the most pain....

  18. BoC preview looks great! Said it before and saying it again, its pretty ridiculous that some sculpts aren't being updated when SE get 3-4 available sculpts for one hero... All in all looks tempting but this would become a highly converted army if I jumped on board. (Many boxes of blood bowl Gors would be bought, heh. ) Im sure many long time players are excited.
  19. New BoC looks great! With all that GW has been pumping out they reeeaallly could have whipped up some plastic hero characters to replace the ones needed.... So if im correct this battletome will only have 2 plastic heros, Bray Shaman and Tzaangor shaman?....
  20. Seeing as how the Briar Witch is a wizard she'll probably have a nifty little ability in AoS though.
  21. Does anyone actually get the Warchanter into combat or is he only ever kept back for the buff? Ironjawz have a great to hit already so ive been wondering about foregoing him for a unit of Gruntas or a Gargant as alot of people run two chanters anyways. Is he REALLY that necessary? Also, concerning Brutes, anyone ever run them with out the gore choppa and armed the leader with boss chappa. It looks like it would give a bit more consistent damage at the cost of less and better to hit. Just running around ideas in head is all.
