  2. I am awaiting slaanesh rumours, Our suffering can only go on so long right? The true suffering for us will be this weekend when they announce the new battletomes Khorne and Chaos dwarves, no slaanesh book until 4th edition as they were pointed for 3rd. I am worried we will get a repeat of last time when we were a double release with daughters of khaine where daughters got all the focus and a cool book and we got only like 1 preview article.
  3. So we should be up soon for tome, what would you like to see for the army For me id like us to move to a Control style melee army instead of the weird psudo summon horde we are moving towards. Sigvald- He is perfect though they could just bake lurid haze deepstrike into him, him just showing up from board edge dramatically is fluffy anyway as the anime villain Painbringers- Steal the 30k martial perfection rule and let them swap between a defence stance and attacking stance (would give us something of a bullwark to hold the middle) Twinsouls- Keep as our less tanky blender units, maybe tweak their stances to be adv+charge and a damage stance, maybe some synergy with syllesske who can let them swap midphase Blissbarb archers+seekers- Fire and fade, they shouldnt do crazy damage just be annoying to pin down Shalaxi- Needs a buff Synessa- Either keep her a 1 cast knows everything (but maybe let her auto cast, she is a child of slaanesh) Dexcessa- Should be more of a blender Glutos- perfect, maybe just let him always have his ward and turn the priest on the chariot into an actual priest Shardspeaker- I would like option for them to pick to be either wizard or priest, make her debuff more intuitive Slaangor- we will probably just get beasts of chaos one, though with how they are viewed as sacred in hedonites warbands I think they would be interesting if they passively generated depravity For the Hosts Invaders- Pretty good, lurid haze should just be rolled into it Pretenders- This one really should be more fun, let the warlord always have finest hour active Godseekers- also good New stuff -New hero, personally If its not a mounted lord I want it to be a blissbarb archer hero, would be neat to have a ranged focused hero for chaos that isnt magic -Warcry warband- some foot cultist slickblades, some light and fast mortals on foot, maybe some evasive dance skill keeping them safer from shooting. Amusingly the world eaters vs emp children match up in 40k is wonderfully thematic, EC get more movement, better shooting and psychic, World eaters bring more damage. EC have more control of the tempo (fights lasts, fights on death) so its usually EC trying to keep the beserkers at arms length and trading. What is actually gonna happen is we will get dual release with blades of khorne who will get fully revamped army with cool rules, Hedonites will get same but 2-3 stat improvements on warscrolls and a points tweak
  4. I would kind of like slaanesh's twins to be involved in ulgu story line, there is probably a wierd dynamic between them Morathi and Malerion. I would find it funny if the twins restart up morathis old cult of pleasure in ulgu (I have been tempted to convert up a cult of pleasure army for old world+aos)

I think skaven fall into the same camp as seraphon, STD and night goblins in that they are mostly an old world resculpt army and I think GW might be limiting how many they make of those per edition vs new ideas. They might have also been held back as a "do we want to leave this for old world", especially if they barely change aesthetic (seraphon changed a little bit and chaos warriors probably couldn't have waited for old world being the big bad guys) as much as I love my gitz I am suprised those came before skaven though.

Although the big request for hedonites is a mounted lord I am hoping that the rumoured hero for them is actually an archer, having a blissbarb themed hero would make them more interesting as chaos tends to lack a ranged hero and a character obsessed with "hunting" and "the perfect shot" would be neat. Maybe they can swap out arrows to apply different debuff poisons or allow blissbarbs to fire and fade. GW seems to struggle with working out what slaanesh's niche is outside of going fast Nurgle- High durability/slow/meat grinder playstyle/not a ton of normal damage but slowly wittle down through aoe mortals Tzeench- high magic output, kind of a castle control, gibbering hordes keeping you back from their big spellcasters (suprised these guys were not the summoning army vs slaanesh) Khorne- big damage, lots of attacks but middle rend, if they hit you you die, buffs stacking on kills. Slaanesh- at the moment is a middle speed (other armies are faster due to teleports) pushing towards a horde army at this rate with summoning and points drops Personally I really want to see hedonites move more into a glass-canon midrange control army, have shoot then move on blissbarbs and seekers to keep enemy at bay and for most part refuse engagements by keeping out of range unless the hedonites chose, change depravity to be a goal that super charges army (dark elf murderous prowess from total warhammer) so the army plays hard to get for 1-2 turns then on 3rd turn once they have teased enough go in for kill when army reaches its depraved state. High ap with decent volume but never more than 1 damage (death by 1,000 cuts)
  7. nah there will be a print error in HoS book that puts them back to their old profile, but gain a 10pts increase, HoS are perfectly pointed for 5th edition.
  8. its actually 2 lumineth sides to show two different castes, the angry berserker Fire elements who wield axes and wear skulls and furs and style themselves like bears and lions vs the water caste, lithe and fast duelists. GW felt that people would be best served adding an additional two new codexes for lumineth for each of these each releasing 1 month after each other
  9. My guess is a hedonites priest as we have no real priest option. It could be a slaanesh worshiping elf if they ever want to bring back morathis oldworld cult (would be interesting if the twins revived morathis old slaanesh elf worshipping cult considering they are her "kids") alot of the warcry god warbands are kind of adjacent to the mainline theme (the swamp nurgle dudes) this could also be a more primitive version of slaanesh worship.
  10. No slaangor changes, GW clearly feels they are in a good spot and fear a slaangor meta
  11. I think main issue is other armies are too fast, so many have teleports which instantly gives then better threat range. Would be nice if tp and deep striking was more limited Nurgle is probably our perfect match up, slow so we pick fights, tough so we wont overkill them, toughness is wound density instead of save so easy to ge odd wounds for dp here and there , the hit weak so wont overkill us, mortal wounds are amazing vs armour but pointless vs blissbarbs and other lightly armoured units. Also we have good healing to counter disease if its getting too spicey. I could odly see that match up having s like 70% hedonited favour. Hedonites basically want a meta that is msu, high rend, middle tier armour but high negation(sigvald stonks), low damage, slow and tanky to play into. Godhammer is really bad for them

Blissbarbs have never been bad, their issue is not having enough bodies around to protect them due to cost of whole army, their damage is great but contradictory to armies design, army wants you to not kill so you usually split fire with blissbarbs. They have great general wound output but due to splitting shots usually those wounds are less impactfull. Other issue with them is bravery, like alot of hedonites they need babysitting or they run away. Also very little in army synergises with them, most stuff only effects melee. We amusingly had that battallion of 3 blissbarbs and 1 lord of pain where lop buff doesnt work on them. If slaanesh had access to a solid cheap chaff unit blissbarbs would shine. Designers intention is likely you screen them with summon units but if you go 2nd it can be turn 3 before you summon anything meaningful.

The core issue with hedonites and their summoning is while other armies get the beneift of summoning key pieces and be flexible to opponents slaanesh is trying to summon its starting army into a working force. People dont summon in fiends/masque/infernal enrapturess to counter opponent, tbey are desperatly spamming daemonettes and bodies because they cant stick around on the board. The blissbarb archaon list is closer to how army should work with a big spooky threat to keep aggro off the blissbarbs who can just farm dp. The issue of pure slaanesh is blissbarbs are having to pull double duty of farming and killing units so our flimsy mainline doesnt just flop. Like what happens if you rock up vs 4 gargants, slaanesh will get 4dp, our units wont survive in fight vs one to keep dp on our side. So that 20-40% overcost will get us 12dp by turn 3, barely enough for anything useful. We are priced assuming we are in our perfect match up and perfect play. I think current slaanesh would work with just a few extra bits of crowd control, like give easier use of the locus. Or a spell that just activated the locus of diversion.

I think one issue in your game is while hedonites are weak they have some match ups they dominate in, a fully buffed and supported sigvald will nuke alot os stuff in game as alot of big heroes rely on after saves and is now core gimick for all nurgle. Also hedonites want to fight slow stuff with little range threat, nurgles slow damage over time mortal wounds will be great into storm cast but against lightly armoured slaanesh whose fear is mass volume ranged fire and want small damage, nurgle might be just be in rough match up vs its little brother. Your best bet might be deep strike drones to attack his troops, more plague bearers to bubble wrap. Dont bother attack units unless you can garuntee you kill it so focus fire. Keepers are kind of traps to attack, they are not that scary for their points, they whiff alot and cant fight twice themselves so nuke who they are babysitting then rest of troops.
  18. Tbh as a gitz player id be fine with spiders being split off, gsg roster is kinda big i always thought spiders went bettet with savage orcs than night goblins. Man remember when we were so excited for hedonites, then the rules dropped, then the cope that their crazy high points were for aos3, aos 3 came out and hedonited looked fairly solid, then they bumped their points up. What a crazy year for us slaanedh players, i think for old times sake they should kick us while we are down again on faq before the year ends. Slaangor +1 bravery lets go

  21. The faq wait is rough. Got my desired list ready just wanna see how it changes Invaders-lurid Sigvald Shardspeaker Lord of pain Synessa 10 painbringers 2x 10 units of blissbarb archers 2x5 slickblade seekers Atm leaves me about 35 points, id love yo see list down to 235 points spare giving me room for 1 extra unit and cogs. Plan is yolo sigvald, if haze rolls good ill either put the block of 10 painbringers or 2 slickblades with him while synessa just chills at back of board offering support. Id stick in a block of slaangor if they are good. Overall plan is hope sigvald and slickblades can keep opponent locked on their side of board for 2-3 turns while i nab objectives and get depravity going so by time the first wave is dead i can dump in summoned units. Id probably jam sigvald into hopefully a big juicy unit that relies on aftersaves and try to trade him for 2 blocks of troops, dont really have a solution to most god monsters might just gut the army and pray Archaon- send sigvald after his friends and just try to feed archaon ****** road bumps Teclis/sentinels- pray for first turn and try to tag as many sentinels with siggy and slickblades. Or if can try get cheeky charge on teclis, though dunno the math hammer on sigvalds chances Giants- cry, maybe if i get twisted mirror debuff going i can combined arms through 2x blissbarbs into sigvald charge to take them down.
  22. Clearly they paid the soul price to kill slaanesh, eldar release will squat emperors children as an option, winter FAQ for aos will confirm that Tyrion kills slaanesh off screen and all Hedonites of slaanesh units are squatted
  23. Same mines heading from element games atm. Also got my 3d printer up and running to get some diaz esque looking daemonettes done up. Also might be able to get a hold of my brothers old dark elves from fantasy, could look at reworking them so I can have them be my marauders or something to bring back some old " remnants of the cult of pleasure", maybe some of the elves liked it in slaanesh and want to go back.
  24. -solo performance- The slaanesh army at start of game can declare this battle to be a solo performance, if doing so they cannot spend depravity on summoning. Instead the army gains access to the following buffs -"Dance eternal" when using redeploy reaction the roll is automatically a 6 and instead of using command points 6 depravity may be spent instead to activate -"Everybody to your places" at start of first turn redeploy d3 units "Give them a good time" at start of shooting or combat spend 6 depravity on a unit that unit may re roll its wound attempts or increase rend on one of their weapons by 1
