  1. I do not own one, but as far as I know it came with the large 150mmx100mm base back then. See this: The little guy on the right is on the 20x20 base. So there is no way the chariot base would be enough.
  2. Well, this is a speculation thread. And whatever those rumours say - how solid is the source anyway? - some of the events could still play out similar to what has been proposed here. I have no clue where the BR story will end up, but from little I have read, to me it seems clear that: Gordrakk will play some part in it, and be the driving force for some substantial change. We might see some form of "Everchosen of Destruction" thing led by Gordrakk, bringing all current Destruction armies into one list. Good times to be a Greenskin or Ogre!
  3. Basically as the title says. For those having played both: How compatible are the games in terms of rules mechanics? Can the heroes and/or their cards be used in the other game? Are the board tiles compatible among both games?
  4. Eh, when I build and paint models the bases are one of the first things glued on and one of the last things done. Definitely no changing bases around on painted models! I guess my Ogres will end up as a "casual AoS army", since I like the option to field them in WHF as well - and round bases in WHF are something I avoid whenever possible. To be honest: I have so many Ogre models, I might do both in the end... Not true for Ogres, at least not for the infantry. Almost all of them come on 40mm squares for WHF, and 40mm rounds for AoS - so on square bases they are actually at a disadvantage. Cavalry - on the oval bases - should work out similarly, but I never thought about those too much. Good to hear, thanks for the detailed response! Sound to me like both versions of the Hunter have their pros and cons, none being the strictly better option. Excellent!
  5. Agreed. It makes absolutely no sense at all to just do one production run of CC, then hype it into the stratosphere, to only forget about it afterwards. I have no doubts at all CC is to stay around for years, with support through expansions and WD until at least late 2022.
  6. Thanks for the welcome, glad to (finally) be around. While I'm much more into 40K and WHF - and still hardly ever play either - the last two years have warmed me to AoS quite a lot. The TGA forums have supported this a lot!
  7. Never believe GW store staff. They are hardly ever better informed than what you can read on the WHC blog, and they have definitely no insight into what is or is not limited edition - unless that is public knowledge anyway.
  8. Thanks on the first part, good to know. As for waiting: on the one hand, WotE seems to have some interesting and unique content, which on the other hand might get incorporated into the base rules come AoS3. I am pretty sure I won't get any gaming in before mid to late summer anyway, so on paper it would be wise to wait...
  9. I am not overly familiar with the AoS background, so hope somebody here can help me with the following: Is there a realm that is free of Orruks in general and Bonesplitterz in particular? What background is there on how each realm influences Bonesplitter tribes? Do you know of examples of realm-themed Bonesplitter armies? On a related note: does either the old Bonesplitterz battletome or the current Orruk Warclan one go into any details concerning this topic?
  10. Coming from 40K with a mixed Daemons army, from what I've read so far the LoCA is the correct approach to AoS for me. What battletomes would I need right now? I would wait for BR: Belakor anyway, but would it also make sense to maybe even wait for the net edition alltogether?
  11. Greetings fellow fatties! Not wanting to start a new thread over this, so: How do people in general feel about Ogres on square bases being used in AoS? Any experiences with it? And how do square bases play out in gameplay terms anyway? Are there any comparison pictures of the new WHQ Ogre next to other models from the Ogre range? He looks like a perfect character model to me. How well das the WH:U warband play as part of a "normal" army list?
  12. No detailed backstory of mine for the time being, just throwing my proverbial hat into the AoS ring. More of a 40K and WHF collector so far, I have aquired sizable collections of SCE, KO and DoT over the last year - with unbuilt collections of Ogres and "lots of Chaos" also suitable for AoS. We'll see where it goes from there!
