  1. Not sure how much more I'll get done tonight, but I wanted to share my Progress for WIP Wednesday Began work on Haset's mask and Celestial Disc, combing elements of Hathor from Egyptian Mythology & my own homebrew this is where we are at! A bit of homebrew headcanon: The disc above Hast's head represents the Waxing and Waning of Hysh and Ulgu, and more to the point her own power. As a twin God, with her twin residing in Ulgu, her strength is tied to her twin; as ones power rises the others falls in a continuous cycle. The disc, like the twins cycle, is continually changing and shows which Realm and God is the dominant. Having a lot of fun with this project ☺ I was also able to start a little bit on my High Warden, using a new priming method ive never done before! I believe it's called the Zenthiel method? Did Chaos Black and then a light dusting of Chorax White, after that I shaded orange, been doing highlights after that. Any C&C is welcome

Not sure how often people usually post or if WIPs are a normal thing, but i just really like sharing lol I apologize if it turns into spam, let me know!Began work on Haset's mask and Celestial Disc, combing elements of Hathor from Egyptian Mythology & my own homebrew this is where we are at! 3. Small update for WIP Wednesday! Working on the armor a bit before I go pass out (almost 4am here), adding greens and slowly working on some copper trim, really loving how its turning out. For the stockings and cloak I made a very watered down wash of courrburg crimson to gently build some depth, still a work in progress. Slowly moving forward! C&C or general thoughts always welcome
  4. Thank you! That is pretty much what I intended, but more like the Amazon river (or originally in my head), though a sea does make them seem bigger 😋
  5. Thank you, I really appreciate that and it's really some high praise, it also makes me really happy when people recognize the influences lol so kudos. I am certainly hoping to do them both justice, but also have my own spin on it of course! So far I'm happy with how shes looking. I really love when people change their minds about the models, they truly are beautiful works of art. I really think everyone should paint one for the armor alone. I wont lie, glad I was apart of that haha. If you ever paint one up Id love to see it My overall theme for my army is Rebirth & Destruction, the anchor theme is balance. My Spirit of the Mountain (Green) represents Rebirth as a dormant volcano with new life growing on it & Avalenor (Orange/Yellow) being Destruction with the active volcano and no viewable life growing. You can't have one without the other however, and so they follow each other into battle Haset is meant to be that middle ground or Balance 🙂 I really appreciate the kind words!
  6. Yeah, I have the central theme down now, but her sword and such I'm still like, "What to do..." lol. May do birch handles like other models
  7. Thank you very much! I think itll be better once her skintone is darkened up a bit, but night mode does that sometimes, haha! Lots of work ahead. Here's a better picture since my lightbox does a glare
  8. Hey all! Hope you are doing well! Today was a pretty good day, it was a bit warmer and good weather so I was able to prime a bit today, meaning I was able to prime Haset! I had an original color scheme in mind, but through trial, error and eventually listening to my gut I think I have a color scheme! It's not the most traditional color scheme but I think when finished it'll really be something cool. These are just the base colors for now, but I plan to darken her skin up but for the pink and yellow I cant decide what to shade them with, crimson maybe? I have the purple contrast also i could thin a bit. I really like the original pink in the first couple photos, so still debating if I want to cover the yellow up or not. I regret (even though it was a good learning experience) painting over the original pink scheme lol Anyway! Here is my progress for the night, more time worked on her than Id care to admit, but we have started 🙂 C&C always welcome

  10. Ha, for sure! Keeping to deadlines can definitely be tough at times, especially with busy lives or just lack of motivation due to whatever. Thank you! Real happy with that first one, that group of 5 is going to look awesome when done
  11. I appreciate it, it's definitely helping me already
  12. I really love those markings! I have always struggled with markings, finally feel I'm getting the hang of them on my dawnriders. Also, the feathers look gorgeous, well done all around
  13. Hey everyone! So, I meant to post this yesterday but was overly conflicted. I in general don't like to put a time frame on my painting, part of that is due to me having multiple projects and constantly jumping from one to the next before finishing (though eventually coming back and finishing them up). I also tend to do a bit of writing as part of my painting process, homebrew lore is just apart of the hobby to me. The problem with this is that it takes me awhile to finish a single project, so hoping to change that a little. I am going to tweak the rules for myself a little bit, this is to accommodate my slightly slower painting and so I don't feel the need to rush. For November I will be focusing on Haset, my (nearly finished) Spirit of the Mountain & her General, the first of the Hathorians. However, for Haset herself and her being such a unique model/kitbash I am going to give myself 2 months (so Jan 1st) to complete her. If her general is easier than I think then it is likely I will also work to finish my unit of Stoneguard, if not they will carry over as my December unit. Here is to actually focusing on a particular set of models 🙂
  14. So, I don't know for a fact but it seems to me the reason it didnt come with a base is for this reason; so you can fit it around any character that can use it no matter the base size I could be wrong, but that is what makes sense in my head
  15. Looking forward to seeing the progress on Teclis! I'm impressed with your Oct haul
  16. Oh man! This is such a great idea, going to enjoy looking through and seeing everyone's progress!
  17. Small Update In an effort (and after deciding I was originally just being lazy) to make Haset feel less demonic, I did end up switching her tail out to the SoTm/Avalenor bovine tail. This simple switch definitely (imo) has made the difference and although I did like the KoS tail, she now feels more Lumineth/Hysh in origin to me. Aside from that I've begun work on my Spirit of the Mountain again, sadly no update pics as not much is different yer but we're moving again! I've been in a building mode so I haven't really painted in about 2 weeks or so, maybe 3? Felt good to hold a brush again. To help break back into painting after so much building I finished my Artisan Guild Coatl. I had painted all but the two back wings over a year ago, due to life and what-not I never finished it, until last night. A year later, I'm still pretty happy with the paint job but feel it highlights progress I've made since then. Any C&C is welcome, and that goes for anything that is posted in this blog 🙂
  18. Thank you! Hoping to have her finished soon 🙂
  19. Thanks! I am very pleased with him for sure! Eventually I'll have the whole army done.. eventually lol
  20. This is very cool on multiple levels. I love the art for one, it's very eye catching and well done in my opinion. The mage in particular interests me for my own homebrew for Haset, so I will be interested in how this or if this is actually controlling of both the Sun & Moon.
  21. Hey there! So sorry its taken so long to respond, thanks so much! I am vastly proud of her thus far! For her colors: Central heart - Color in indiviual designs qith alternating colors of Sybarite Green, Moot Green, Warpstone Green & Gauss Blaster Green. Shoulders, Arms, Legs -These are all about the wet blend. Start with a base of Leadbelcher, then going inside out wetblend Coelia Greenshade > Tan Biel > Iyandan yellow > Casandora Yellow (optional). This will dye the Leadbelcher when dry, giving a cool dyed metallic look that ive grown to love. All outlined by Yriel Yellow. For the purple banner it is Xereus Purple dry brushed with Russ Grey and then shaded with Druchhii Violet (All Citadel Brand, incase you didn't know, I apologize if you did!) Hope this helps! I need to start writing down my recipes lol doing this from memory, oof!
  22. I missed the reveals, though the short animation movie was phenomenal. I think if we see any new Temple it will be the Wind Temple and I see it making it debut with Wind and a possible Artillery piece from the Sayr Nation. We have all our core elements aside from an true Artillery option, I know sentinels can act as such, but i would still like to see an Eagle Bolt Thrower type unit or an entirely new invention (especially given Sayrs background). Maybe they are saving the Artillery and "big guns" for the Tyrion Militaristic side of Hysh, but war machines seem to be the Lunar Sides Niche. Hoping for a Monsterous Infantry or Cav option tbh
  23. So, I want to share some painted figures also! I also want to apologize for the spam I was originally going for a Halloween/Volcanic theme (seen with my Warden which was my first Lumineth painted) which has grown more into a Rebirth & Destruction theme, primarily with my Alarith Temple Units. I also seem to be unusual (at leaat maybe for my local area) where I like to paint each type of unit a different color, much like armies of old. My Dawnriders while keeping common colors have a grey-blue making them stand out.
