  1. PEOPLE OF THE RUMOUR THREAD Are rumours of new death stuff this year based on anything other than 'they haven't had much' ? Anyone know anything? I'm a bit concerned I just bought a deathlords list and if everything gets split up by Mortarch it might be rendered useless before it even gets its first outing (I am not fast at painting )
  2. Battle Two was against Jack's Beastclaw Raiders. In this game I got tabled This scenario is blood and glory; we both deploy the majority of our forces down one flank with the other flank getting only one unit of crypt horrors, with the unit of 30 ghouls hanging back to secure the objective in my half. I mostly suffer here from not understanding Beastclaw raiders! In the first turn the hunter pops up with his dogs and puts a ridiculous 8 wounds on the gkozd with his bow. Dogs charge in and chip off a few more wounds. The zombie dragon eventually clears them up but ends up with a low number of wounds left and by the time it gets charged by the horrid thing on thindertusk it has no chance. A unit of crypt horrors put 8 wounds on another thundertusk, but then fail to do much else before getting wiped off. I bring in the Mourngul which does nothing in the first turn but does get a charge off in the second turn on a thundertusk. Unfortunately I opt to not go first with it, thinking it will be fairly hardy on a 3+ save. Jack gets four hits on it with a damage three or two weapon, I roll 2 2's and 2 1's and the Mourngul goes off immediately. The horrors are wiped out before the courtier gets a hero phase to regenerate them then Jack wins the priority roll and from here on it's basically just cleanup. The only chance I have is of some thundertusks rolling 1's near deadly terrain, which they don't. Next time I will go first with the Mourngul to try and chip some wounds off the thundertusk and reduce its effectiveness a bit. I also need to actually make some saves! Maybe mystic shield on the Mourngul isn't so evil.... Next up: Warrior Brotherhood
  3. So I thought since I've done little painting and more playing I would put some battle reports up here, and since we just completed a three game tournament this would be a good place to start. I took a Flesh Eaters army with a Mounrngul friend. The list was Ghoul King on Zombie Dragon, Crypt Haunter Courtier (General, Summoning Sword), Another Haunter, 2 x 6 crypt ghouls and a unit of 30 ghouls. First turn summon the Mourngul with the sword. Battle One - Lee Bromley (FEC) - Gift From the Heavens A FEC off to start with, we managed to get to turn two in this game due to the sheer amount of saves and grinding going on. I took first turn and moved up conservatively, waiting for the comet to land and summoned in the Mourngul in the middle of the field to try and pin Lee's unit or Crypt Horrors - failed his charge of course but that's par for the course. Lee YOLOd his Ghoul King on Terrorgheist into my general who amazingly managed to stay alive for the entire game and then GHOUL PATROLLED at which point I realised I'd over committed forwards. Lee's crypt horrors did 8 wounds to the Mourngul on turn one, it failed to do a single wound back. Lee also charged his Zombie Dragon into mine which managed to slug it out for two combat rounds, and kept the horrors and the courtier on the other side of the table nicely pinned in combat. Second turn Lee got priority and his comet fell nicely next to his Vargulf. Battle continues and the Terrorgheist proceeds to batter the courtier general but he remarkably survives on one wound. The block of 30 ghouls also pile in to the Terrorgheist, doing more wounds to it than the courtier. The Mourngul is dragon breathed to pieces leaving Lee's horrors free to charge mine and continue to pin them in my territory. Both zombie dragons slug it out. Many saves are rolled. My second (and last) turn - my comet lands mercifully in the middle of the table, where the tail end of a bunch of ghouls are sat and none of Lee's models are. There is more grind, some horrors come back, some die, more ghouls die. In the end it's a minor win to Lee on kill points as we both scored only one turn on the objective before time. Lee is a great opponent but two death armies makes for a lot of dice! Minor Loss - scored 700 points. Lessons learned - more Ghoul Kings required for the support. Any newly bought unpainted model (the Mourngul) is going down. Next up: Jack and his beastclaw raiders (the Mourngul does not redeem itself) Next time I need more pictures
  4. A few pics from this - ten players all in all and victory to Jonny's Tomb Kings who he has promised (again) to retire...
  5. No worries - it was Imps decision. I think the idea was to encourage fully painted armies at whatever level and reward, but not discourage non painted stuff. The raffle isn't really a reward for your standard of painting - it's a reward for your commitment to painting the whole army!
  6. I think it's three at 2000 points. Rules are in the tournament pack linked above but basically: Base to base measurement Nothing can affect turn roll (Kairos) 6 always hits but abilities not activated if true to hit roll was e.g 7 Any unit that cannot be targeted cannot hold an objective Same spell doesn't stack mystical terrain test is taken at start of hero phase before anything else
  7. You're right apologies, I meant on average you will do three mortal wounds, but phrased it badly
  8. Added a few more people who have signed up in store. Also added the tournament pack: https://www.dropbox.com/s/9eqd7hske23qqyb/Imps Gaming AOS Tournament Pack 14th Jan.pdf?dl=0
  9. Unit of 6 Kurnoth Hunters = 360 points. 30 wounds; 18 attacks 3's to hit and wound, rend 2, d3 damage. 50% chance of causing 6 mortal wounds to the unit is in combat with. (I'll give you they won't get the re roll saves often). Equivalent unit of Morghast Archai is 3, recognising that you can't take this, but for illustration. 18 wounds, 9 attacks, 3's to hit and wound rend 2, damage 3. Extra 4" move and flying. 33% chance of ignoring wounds. 60% chance of being summoned. Chance of summon being dispelled. No options for ranged attacks. No mortal wound output. Would Sylvaneth players be happy to double the points in exchange for a longer move, more reliable damage and a ward save, but lose the mortal wound output. Archai should be 240 for three, imvho
  10. Morghasts need to come down dramatically, they are slightly better than melee Kurnoth Hunters with no option for range. Kurnoth Hunters are 60 points per model, morghasts are 120 points per mode

  13. YOu should also leave that affiliate link somewhere @Ben, if people are buying stuff through Amazon and they click your link first then tga should receive a portion
  14. Other twitch streamers have confirmed they receive the same amount from twitch prime subs as they do regular subs
  15. Ok, so the amount of AOS you have is mad, well done (I think!). Tell me some of this is converted from WHFB stuff otherwise what you've collected and painted in 18 months is bonkers. If not getting everything into round bases is still impressive! Alao re reading your post it looks like you also have other WHFB stuff? Bonkers
  16. I've finished these off by adding Deathlords and also written up a post in the main forum if you want to make your own: @MidasKiss
  17. No they're not hard to do once you get it set up, which admittedly did require a bit of trial and error from the French! I will put a post up on how to do it when I've finished watching Westworld
  18. Done! I think I've done these due to realising I could copy and paste the text rather than typing it all out (doh!). Let me know if I need to add any others. Added them tonight
  19. Yes, Magic Set Editor for windows - I'll put up a post about how to do them soon
  20. These are nice, I'm going to carry on though, mainly because I don't like that blue-red gradient (probably not the best reason to waste a few evenings, but hey!) Added some more to original post
