  1. I believe you misspelled “troll Beasts of Chaos players” in relation to Kragnos fitting in 😆
  2. My aim, when I sit down with the book, is to do: Bloodthirster of IR bloodthirster of IR scyla Garrek’s reavers magore’s fiends wurmspat (allies) 3 units of Bloodreavers skullcrushers bloodsecrator I have to check how many points I have left, but I want a bunch of small units, annoying ones that’ll get the tithe going, and summon in daemons. Maybe a priest if there’s room.
  3. I know this is a horribly wrong idea (fluff wise)…but Wurmspat allied in for access to Mystic Shield? It’s a buffed Nurgle Sorc with bodyguards for serious defense on her. Plus a 3MW spell. I feel like this is a great allied option for Khorne, competitively. Assuming you’re not already rocking Archaon (hell, even if you are). edit: not to mention, it’s two additional blood tithe points when they die.
  4. I’m not gonna lie, the fact that MSU is the style, most things didn’t go up much compared to other armies…I think BoK is in a decent spot. Blood tithe is gonna be big. At least my Khorne army didn’t get hit as hard as my Slaanesh one…
  5. So…I planned to run Dex, Siggy, Hellstriders (when I heard we couldn’t take Warriors as battleline anymore), a Keeper, maybe Shalaxi, Slickblades and a mirror and/or wheels. No wheels, no Shalaxi, and I can still do all that with two units of Slickblades. Doable. But I think I still have changes to make. don’t get me wrong, I’m annoyed. But Slaanesh has always been my favorite. Since 6th edition WHFB. I’m not throwing in the towel when it’s obvious we’re gonna get a reduction. Besides: I haven’t played a game since before Covid hit. I can wait a bit longer for those decreases to hit.
  6. Over in the rumor thread they said we lose S2D battleline as battleline options. But we can still keep them in as non-allies. It was specifically addressed by goonhammer.
  7. What would be awesome is if they rewrote the Aegis to give +1 to any existing ward save…I’d have a 4++ keeper in that army so fast that somebody’s head would pop off like an overripe peach.
  8. I was about to type about Syll’Esskan host requiring S2D, but it doesn’t. It uses mortals combined with daemons, in equal parts. It just gave battalion options to use S2D. I’d imagine Slickblades and such count just as well as knights for the bonuses from the army.
  9. I’m glad I didn’t repaint my CWs to Slaanesh. However, my mind has been going on complete overdrive on list building (even if nothing is down on paper yet). There is a 0% chance of me not running Sigvald any time I use lurid haze. Avoiding him is like taking an intentional handicap, especially as he’s a character I’ve owned and enjoyed using since he came out in WHFB way back. I think a single keeper is the way to go, Shalaxi, Hellstriders for fast, 10wound units. Whips with the pile-in locus from a support hero can make them untouchable in the right circumstances. I actually have no intention of using Blissbarbs (just not a fan). And some Slickblade units. Then the endless spells. Oh yes…please…
  10. Here’s hoping not. I was planning on dropping Fecula on it with her bodyguards at the base for a decent caster platform that has multiple spells and is nigh-impossible to dislodge without serious resources devoted. you know, for all of the two times I play my Nurgle army. 😆
  11. We’re starting a discussion about Slaangors in HoS thread. Some users think there might be something to them in this edition; it tracks with what we’ve heard that the current HoS book was fully designed with 3.0 in mind, and it’s why even though it was playable in 2.0, it was somewhat of a hot mess.
  12. since they’re our “sworn enemy”, it applies in the loosest sense to this thread: anyone notice how Khorne will also love this edition? Khorne loves nothing more than MSU for Blood Tithe. Slaanesh and Khorne will be great in a team game (because giving the finger to lore and god-to-god hatred)!
  13. So…Slaangors may have been written (like points) with 3.0 in mind and are justifiably nasty? That would be cool. Might explain a LOT as to their thought process.
  14. Anyone download the rules yet and see anything stand out? I’m printing mine out now (hate reading rules off a screen)
  15. Isn’t this where Shalaxi shines? Put them back in and watch them nail down a Mawcrusha. Whip (why would you ever take Aegis for only a 6++), second attack from a Keeper OR ally Kairos (point change depending) for the auto 6, generate 2 attacks on the spear and watch him drop the crusha down to be meaningless.
  16. It won’t be units of chariots, that’s for sure. I think this is a nail in the coffin for them. Reason being, you have to reinforce them to have anything more than a single model, and points versus wounds, it just isn’t worth it. Chariot units as battle line or effectively dead. I realize they only existed in Godseekers anyway
  17. I’m cool with our point costs if everyone This tells me you can move before magic. Woohoo!!!
  18. The only thing I’m struggling to understand is if a 3man unit (greater than 25mm base) needs to be in a triangle shape in order to retain coherency. Which would be stupid. Other than that, feels like WHFB returning with ranks. We used to fight only front rank, unless you had spears (aka 2”-3” reach). The more they change ApS, the more it feels like we’re getting WHFB back, but on round bases.
  19. I don’t remember, but I’m pretty positive WHFB commonly had MSUs. Usually cavalry, but even infantry did 10 man units. ESPECIALLY ranged combat. This feels like bringing back ranks without square bases and wedge format units. Didn’t people want Bretonnia back? They skipped the knights, and kept their formations!! just saying MSU has some basis in history.
  20. That sounds so so very wrong. *checks, in Slaanesh thread*. Carry on usual 😆
  21. At least they answered that summoned units bypass the reinforced unit rule. I built my kits as Twinsouls, not Painbringers…I might need two more kits. Time will tell.
  22. Sounds like an update/replacement to a Wyvern is coming, IMO. that current monstrosity (amazing model) is definitely not a wyvern’s replacement. More like the creature that ate fifty wyverns in a sitting. I’m not saying he’s fat, but….daaaayum.
  23. Lurid haze (you’re already an invader) and bring Sigvald for sure! And maybe Dread Pagent (underworlds warband). People have said they’re a surprisingly hard hitting unit that looks insignificant.
  24. If our spells stay untouched, I am ABSOLUTELY running all three of them! They’ll be bonkers good!
